I really enjoyed coming to this location. The staff are friendly and helpful. The layout of the lockers make sense which is a small thing that makes a difference. I have never been to a location where the showers are so frequently used so there were many times I left stinky and needed to shower at home. 2nd time going. I was trying to sign up for the black card room thing. The lady who was there (1344 grey hair that was kinda a grown out mohawk haircut) was just kinda rude she also was giving me bad vibes. She didn't really explain the stuff that the room had to offer and sounded like she was just annoyed. Once again PF has proven they do not value or understand the importance of stretching for longevity and workout recovery. They have filled the stretching area up with equipment leaving only the middle of the floor for people on mats. I brought this up with management long ago when they moved weights into the old stretching area. Apparently they still don't get it. It's unfortunate. I really like it there otherwise. read more

This gym is not 24 hours a day, so it needs to not advertise that way. When we joined, they told us it was 24 hours a day M-F. Today, Monday at 4:55, we were turned away and told it wasn't open for 15 minutes. It was awkward and made me uncomfortable. read more

good gym but everytime i go to grand junction colorado planet fitness the worker ALWAYS follows me into the locker room and got mad at me for taking pictures which is understandable but everyone does it and she doesn't say anything to them, honestly think she's weird and always somehow has something to sweep the second i go in there, i go in there atleast 5 times to take a break and she always follows me. this really needs to be looked into read more

I've been going here for over 2 years now. Very reasonable rates and with a black card you can use any p f gym in the country. This is great as I travel a lot. Really like the recent upgrade of late. The young lady working the front desk was extremely rude, making my experience very difficult. She made disrespectful comments to the point that I had to leave the gym. I would not recommend going to this gym. She has long brown hair and blue eyes and made my experience much worse by calling me dumb special ed and other comments for sitting at the table for 4 minutes while waiting for my Uber, even letting the n word slide. Never in my life have I experienced such unprofessional behavior from an employee. I suggest keeping your employees in line and maintaining professionalism. read more

I've had memberships at many gyms but none have made me feel more comfortable than Planet Fitness. It is truly a judgement-free zone. Truly. The clientele is diverse, with men and women of all sizes, ages, and abilities. I can have a twenty-something hard-body on my right and a sixth year old not-as-hard body on my left...and it doesn't matter! I really appreciate that. I know it's my own insecurities but obviously I'm not alone for Planet Fitness to strive for a judgement/critic-free atmosphere. There are rows of treadmills, bikes (different kinds) stair steppers, and ellipticals to choose from. There are lots of weight machines & free weights. There is a 30 minute circuit room, abs & stretching section...and my favorite: the black card spa, which includes hydro-massage beds, hydro-massage loungers, massage chairs, tanning machines, and toning machines. You pay a smidge (and I mean smidge) extra for those perks but it's worth it. The locker rooms -separate men & women's- are clean and have plenty of lockers. There are also lockers in the gym area for small items (no cost or lock needed as they have built-in combos), which is great for a purse or keys and coat. Classes are available, as is a trainer...all free with your membership!!! The staff is really friendly and helpful. read more

Frankly I wouldn't even consider this again. I've lived in numerous states, and been to many planet fitness locations . This is by far the worst one I've ever been to. They hire random people that know nothing about fitness or nutrition. They are extremely against bodybuilders if you bring gallon jugs in they stay away from that, as well as being too bulky and or slamming your weights.. They are not consistent with their rules, some let girls wear a sports bra, yet they threaten to kick me out when I wear one. Not to mention they're the only gym in Grand Junction Colorado that forces you to wear a mask over your nose while doing cardio. Do you want to give me a fucking heart attack? I put up with this since last fall thinking they would loosen up on the rules but they haven't, goodbye to me and my service! read more

My partner and I are in Planet Fitness 6 days a week. We love the friendly atmosphere and the large number of fitness machines, and some free weights, available many hours around the clock. I love the eliptical cardio machines. The basic membership is a very affordable $10 per month, while a higher level "Black Card" is not too much more. Highly recommend! read more

We joined this gym for the price. They have good deals always going on. It is a busy place, but you can usually get on the different stations (other than the ab stations) pretty easily. They are frighteningly clean - people clean their machines meticulously after use. And the staff are always out there cleaning. To almost a crazy extent - but if you are a germaphobe - this is your place. Overall, this is a pretty good spot. I think you can ask for pointers from the trainers, but mostly they leave you on your own. Besides a pretty good number of treadmills, stairs, elliptical machines, strength equipment - there is a 30 minute workout area, a 360 workout and an area for yoga and more. read more

I asked the staff to please spread out the rubber mat in front of the showers, it was obviously moved for cleaning purposes but never put back. The next day asked again. Then asked again. Pretty sure that the manager overheard me asking for the second or third time by this point. I am concerned because I have come close to a huge fall coming out of the showers going to the dressing area. Then asked again. Asked again and completely frustrated at this point, told the girl that if I find out that someone slips and sues, I will be the first to support their cause. I was told this was not the clerks "problem" and to call and speak to the manager. I tried to call the manager after I left and was informed that he would be in later to try back. I called back on my lunch hour, to a completely rude individual who informed me that they are in compliance and didn't really have to have a mat out in the first place. Then told me that he would be removing the mat altogether and then finished up with and "don't be rude to my staff"! I went in today, and the mat is laid out. We will see if it lasts this time. But I am really left with "is this where I really want to spend my money? How rude!" Is this really how they do business? Concerned!!!! read more

Great staff at Grand Junction Planet Fitness. I'm incredibly grateful for the friendliness and encouragement I get here. They are always keeping up with the equipment, every time I go they are working hard to maintain and clean equipment. Same with the showers and bathrooms, despite some people seemingly dead-set on trashing them, they are consistently cleaned and maintained. If I have any complaint at all it's that this gym is just too popular, it's packed like a nightclub in the early evenings, but it's not like that all the time so not too big an issue. read more

Gym is clean, people are fantastic, location is perfect! I was in the lounge after a workout and shower and the hydro lounge beds are a great feature! All planet fitnesses should have these. Personally i think planet fitness is a great gym i went in for the first time all the employees greeted me and showed me how to check in. everything looked like it has been cleaned. this summer is especially nice because teenagers are able to sign up for free. it's awesome how many machines there are and how many ways you can get your work out done. There was one time i was in there and one of the workers that were off duty said that my partner and i were doing a great job he was extremely friendly. Over all i think the gym is extremely welcoming towards anyone all the employees have been nice and the environment is very clean. read more

What a smug group of employees at the Grand Junction Colorado PF! This planet fitness has NO hot water in the men's locker room, for either sinks or showers. You would think post Covid and the recommendation to wash hands with soap and hot water this would be a significant health priority. However when brought to the attention of staff a barrage of inappropriate and unprofessional comments resulted. Unacceptable PF! County's Health Department was contacted. read more

I just signed up at Planet Fitness in Grand Junction Colorado. The customer service I received from a woman named Miya was extraordinary, to say the least. Her patience and guidance for my fumbling with giving info on the computer is on a par with, perhaps above any I've ever received at any business establishment. As far as the gym goes, this Planet Fitness is equal to or beyond any gym I've frequented in a long lifetime of working out. Ten bucks a month membership, no contract? It can't be beat at any other price I've encountered. I'm looking forward to my first workout there. My new planet has everything I need and more. read more

I've been going to this gym off and on for years. We did have a hiccup with some billing issues through covid but the manager helped me right through everything and get back on track. Always feel welcomed as soon as I walk in the door, always equipment available and alwYz a friendly staff member around if you need help. I have tried other gyms but I keep coming back to this one. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! Robbie Wright is the owner and operator of this facility. He is a dishonest man. The gym charged me 3 annual fees within 6 months. He states that he refunded me 2 of the fees, yet my accounts were never refunded. It has taken 2 months to get an answer from him on why my accounts were not reflecting what he stated happened. After multiple phone calls a week to employees, it took a visit to finally get the man to speak to me regarding the issues of the club not refunding or handling accounts properly. He said that he is the final decision and that he says he refunded them so it was done and that is the end of discussion. Yet he had no documentation of the refunds. He would not listen nor discuss taking time to look at the proof that I was not refunded. I know that I am NOT the only member this has happened too. I've been a member for a year. Even during busy times you can get a treadmill, bike, weight machine, etc. The towels aren't always stocked if you're there after the work day, but it's basically clean. The app doesn't have up to date info in it. I used it to schedule a class but when I got there, after waiting, I was told that I wasn't signed up for anything and there was no class at that time. I checked the class time in my app that same day to make sure it was right. The employee at the desk said you have to call them directly to sign up and said NOT to use the app. read more

This was BY FAR the cleanest, largest, and most well attended PF I have ever visited. I've been traveling the country all summer and have used my black card across the US! This location looked like they had JUST OPENED. It actually smelled like clean linen! The women's locker room was incredibly pristine. I mean down to the FLOOR. Not a smudge. The equipment even looked like it had been wiped down! Even the feet pedals on the ellipticals were spotless! Not busy at all on the Sunday evening I went. I don't think it would matter since it's HUGE in there. The black card spa was separated from the main gym right at the entrance- good for privacy and quiet. Love love love this location. The back pack request was a reasonable request the point I had was how disrespectful Jesus was to me when he stated, " I don't see your problem with back packs on the floor." and him mocking me when I tried to explain that I thought Planet should have such a requirement. I was never told it was a policy the fact that it was a policy yet the employees chose not to enforce it because he said he didn't think it was a problem is your problem. I called about a membership the last week of April. The fellow at Planet Fitness told me about the $1.00 down and $10/month membership plan. I asked other questions and he said, to come in the following week to join, which I did. But, by that time, the plan had changed to $39 down and $10/month. I told the front desk guy that I was told to come in the next week by the guy on the phone, but they wouldn't honor the previous deal. Then a day later I got a Kohls promo code in an e-mail with the same $1.00 down and $10/month. But, they don't honor the Kohls promo either. I guess they have enough members and don't need anymore. I joined this club but things happened and was and am unable to use. Due to health. I've tried canceling my member ship over 200 days ago, was told sorry to bad. Was told call customer service called them then was told I had to go to the place. of course no help. . So I stop pay on the monthly dues. So I tried again and was told until I pay the dues I tried to stop, I CAN"T cancel. WTH So I am forced to pay for something I can't and don't want. This gym is VERY clean, the equipment is clean and the users are really good at washing each machine as they use it with towels and cleaner provided by the gym, available in many areas. The gym has everything I need to get a good workout and plenty of room. Even after work, I never feel cramped or have to wait for equipment. Love the Blackcard stuff too. This is a great "no judgement" facility that is kept pristinely clean and well-maintained. The restrooms are lovely, with automatic hand dryers that actually work (meaning you don't have to wipe your hands on your pants). Trainers are personable and expert, the desk people are pleasant and personable. The only thing I miss in a workout facility is a "studio" where you can do bungees, TRX, and Book Camp. Other than that, the price is right, and you can exercise as little or as much as you want 24 hours a day. read more

This place has gone downhill the last 6 months. The management team are unfriendly, and not willing to help. You walk in and they don't smile when they greet you. They look like they absolutely hate being there. I've been with them since they opened. I walked in today to tan, and left my 12 and 8 year old on the couch. I heard my 12 year old being yelled at by one of the employees that they had to move to the front. I was then told by the "Manager" (who looked like she didn't want to be there) that they're not a a daycare service. I cancelled my account as of today. They're rude and no longer courteous. I would never recommend Planet Fitness again. I use to post on Facebook how great it is, but that has all stopped. read more
