I've been a member here for few years now . It may not be as fancy as gyms like peak but they have…read moreamenities that other gyms their size don't like an actual locker room with showers. They also have tanning and recently a sauna. The membership prices are very reasonable and for new members there is a complimentary session with a trainer. The equipment is pretty up to date and it seems like there is newer equipment being added to replace older stuff pretty regularly. It is kind of small for all the stuff they have but there is a large area for classes and or floor exercises which is nice. It makes things like sprint and famers carry easier to do in the winter time. They recently added some new TV's by the treadmills. They only complaint is I'd like it if they had wifi for the members to access apps.

Management was courteous and let me in the door to workout in less than 60 seconds. Atmosphere - lift, go heavy or go home, love it! If I lived in Rockford, I would join this gym in a second. It has everything you need to get stronger and more fit. Squat racks, nice benches, dumbells all in tact, more calf machines than you can imagine, including one that will work your calves better than any machine at any other gym -- donkey machine. You need a poster of Arnold or you can't call yourself a gym -- these guys have one. The regulars didn't bother me and were also courteous. However, I anticipate the review to be very similar since it's the same gym run by the same people with the same business structure. Loves Park Peak: The gym is spacious and offers a lot of equipment which is nice. However, customer service is lacking. You walk in and the front desk is more of a hang out spot for the employees to chat amongst themselves instead of being customer service oriented. It's a higher end gym, you would think the members would be treated as such. The classes, have the right equipment, but the up beat energy of instructors to motivate and hype up the members and command a class is missing. I took a cycling class, great music, great ambiance and lighting, but the motivation, excitement, and hype at the front of the room from the instructors was sad and lacking. I tried many different times and different instructors, but sadly didn't find anything other than lacking. They seemed nice though. I do come from a high end gym, Club Studio, in Irvine CA. where their classes are all one big epic party while working out with great ambiance, great sound system, great mood lighting, and top notch instructors that elevate and motivate you throughout the whole class. Sadly, they do not have a Club Studio yet in Rockford and I did end up leaving Peak. Couldn't really justify the price of the membership at Peak when you can get close to the same amenities at any other gym in the area. Good gym. Nothing special. Not worth the hype.

With being closed F/Sat/Sun, Night. Membership $ has gone up not By $5 but $10 so basic is $15 and black card is $30; this allows you access to the massage and tanning as well as the ability to bring a guest every visit. I hope this helps....... Don't forget anything; i forgot my phone at home & i thought i left it on the treadmill; i came back and the cameras don't work so there is no way to replay anything. This cost me Two hours of my night with no clue as a simple replay would have shed light on the matter as it was right on the treadmill that me snd a friend were using for over 40min. Id feel much better with cameras that work.

I love this gym, but unfortunately, the last time I went, I ran into this monster whom I included…read morein a picture. I even asked him if I could work in while he was using the machine and he said no. He wasn't even using the leg Press machine yet, but told me that I could not use it until he was done. I said when will you be starting on the leg Press machine and he said three minutes and that I could not use it until he was done. Well I got on it for a set and I courteously got off the machine immediately after I was done, - set the machine back to where I thought he had it. He had a temper tantrum and got on the machine. He just sat there doing nothing so that I couldn't do a second set. This is the first time I've seen bad behavior at Westwood. I thought that Westwood did not tolerate bowling, but this was a form of bullying and very selfish as well.

My wife has had a cough all of her life. So when she was coughing while she was on the treadmill, a…read morebunch of passive aggressive local hillbillies complained about her. Then the passive aggressive people working in the gym treated her very poorly like she was a pariah. Because of that, I have decided not to go there anymore. Where we live, people have manners, money, and are not passive aggressive like the hillbillies around here.
