They're baaaaack! My…read morefirst in-person banking experience in over 10 years...I was frightened, but the Smith Street office made it such a personal, friendly, and easy experience. Aveen Mitra really stands out for the service he provides, and remembers you when you come back in. This must be what banks were like when my parents were my age, you know in the 'good old days'. Banks all do the same thing, yeah, but the way they do it is what makes some stand out. Bank of Melbourne is back, and doing it right.

The best thing about this branch is that they have a coin counter! I brought a whole bag of coins (dead money) in an swapped it for spanking new bank notes that I can spend on other things!

Considering the proximity to the mall I find a 20 minute wait for a simple transaction unacceptable. Sadly I couldn't avoid going into this branch. They need to lift their game to improve their service. Once I did get served - smooth sailing. Do something about the wait times.

This is a great little suburban branch of the Bendigo Bank, and the closest to my house, so I come…read morehere when I need a branch (even though my account is based elsewhere). As a full service branch, you can do it all here, but the biggest attraction for me is the coin counting machine. I hate change, so all my change goes into a jar, and this is where I cash it in. With this wonderful machine, there is no more sorting coins into bags required! But there is one catch, it prints out a receipt that you need to take to the teller, and this is then credited to your account; if you don't have a Bendigo account, you won't be able to use it...... I had a small issue once, where a piece of paperwork was not processed in a timely way, but a quick phone call and it was resolved. I like good customer service, especially in a business where customers can feel 'captive'. Also, never seen it busy, and the staff are great.

When I arrived there was no coin counting machine. They apologized and said they didn't have one. When I explained croydon had sent me there. They apologized again and said they would sort and bag it for me.it took the girl a while to do this but I really appreciated her effort and the customer service I received. They made my afternoon.
