So now....this gents barbers is run by Gary, a nice no-nonsense kinda guy who runs a tight ship. The barbers area is in teh front and at the back they have a men's grooming area (which I confess I have never myself used...yet). This is where I have had my hair cut for the last six years and I am happy to say throughout that time the prices have been and still remain fair. If you ask them nicely they will give you a nice warm towel treatment after your cut and its a real treat. By far their best stylist is a guy called Pecs (I have probably spelt that incorrectly) but he is the one I would highly recommend. Like the previous reviewer states, Pecs is one of the better stylists, but I actually like Mo better, but like I said all the other guys are good. Also, for incredible beauty treatments and massages, make sure you go to Helen, who work in the back room. She gives masterful massages and also provides a vast array of beauty treatments (waxing, nails etc...). My wife has her nails done there and I she says she does a great job for a great price.

There was an extra barber chair when I walked in and they immediately sat me down with no wait time. I was surprised to feel so welcomed by them and no awkward feeling despite being a stranger. Even after giving only a vague idea of what I wanted, the barber immediately went to work. I can't remember his name because it wasn't one I had heard before but he ended up eventually settling in London after a long journey via the Netherlands as a war refugee from Iraq in the 90's. The haircut was quick and efficient, and they waxed my ears which was a strange experience, but overall I felt like I came to the right place. If I lived in the area I would definitely come again.

There are two barbers who work here - one downstairs and one upstairs. I prefer the upstairs because it is a little more private. The downstairs option is more lively but can be a bit distracting as people pop in/out of the shop which is also downstairs. Usually, I opt for the 'full service'. This is a wet shave followed by a haircut. The shave is relaxing and performed with practiced expertise and is the real highlight. Unlike some other 'barbers' they still know how to use a pair of scissors so they won't just clip your hair. A cut and a wash is a reasonable £15 or a dry cut is £12.50 and you get as much or as little conversation as you like thrown in for free. If you are an Arsenal fan it may stand you in good stead as it seems that's who the staff support.
