I popped by in the morning and got a cut from Michael himself. He was lovely, chatty, quick, followed my requests to the letter, and gave me a VERY good cut. How much? Only 12 £ (around $15)--none of that 32 £ for women, but 22 £ for men nonsense that's going on over at Tower Salon (another place I'd checked out on Yelp). I'll be stopping by whenever I'm back in London, and am only sorry that I can't seem to find a barber this good in NYC. read more

I don't judge those who don't want to wear a mask but I was flat out asked by a customer if I had covid because I was wearing a mask. Not only this, the barber confessed to being anti mask and anti vaccine even though he had Pfizer just to appease another client waiting who professed he travelled unvaccinated and without a mask. Haircut was below average and I won't be coming back, pity because I have work friends who attend your barbershop and hoped as it is local to me that it could be a good place. Never again. Had great hair cut 1st time i visited the place so I came back for my second haircut to same place. The old guy with white hair was free so I had my haircut with him. He did an acceptable job but not to the standard I wanted or had in all my previous haircuts in same place or any other place so I politely asked him to cut a bit from one side to make it even with the other and there he goes... "I did great hair cut for you, no no this is how your hair grows....I spent enough time with your hair, I am hungry and tired but i'll do it for you" I got annoyed and decided just to stop him and said "I don't want anything anymore, thanx for the hair cut...go eat if you are hungry" He ranted on "I gave you great hair cut, you don't appreciate my work..I spent enough time cutting your hair....don't come again" Damn old man, I just wanted a little alteration....sad but it was disappointing experience and bad customer service and hence the one star. Great barbershop! Short wait, three very good barbers. No baloney, no pushing of products. They ask what you want, they cut correctly, and they go asking as they go along to make sure you're pleased with the result. So as a girl I'm very skeptical with whom I trust my hair. I have a very short cut and trust me this, not every barber is good. I have had many mess up my hair. It's even harder to trust someone in a city you've never been to. Last week I sat in Michael's chair, and he worked his magic. I have to say I don't think I've ever loved my hair more. Everyone has complemented it and it makes me feel great. Not only is Michael a great barber but he's very personable. If you're looking for an awesome cut look no further stop in at Michael's. The prices are also very reasonable. Which of course is a plus. I'd like to add that Michael made sure he knew exactly what I wanted before he began, which is very comforting. Great place I found on yelp while on holiday in London. Barbers are exceptional. Solid haircut. Cheap at around 12 pounds. I didn't get any thing too fancy. Didn't have THE Michael but whoever cut my hair did a solid job.

Just been for a haircut at Michael's. It's a no-frills walk-in-and-get-the-sh*t-done place and you actually get a decent and careful job done. No waiting at all and 11£ cheap. Got my neck shaven too but no aftershave was applied afterwards. Anyway, would definitely recommend it. read more

Michael's is cash only and drop-in only. This made it perfect for a weary business traveler like myself to spontaneously decide to stop looking like a slob. Although I was initially a little offput by the crowded waiting area, it's first come, first serve, and they move quickly. Very quickly. I poked my head in around 3p, and by 4p, I had a fantastic cut, crisp shaved part, and a neatly trimmed beard. I don't let other men touch my beard, but the barber (Name started with Mar, but can't remember the rest of his name) was doing such an excellent job that I gave him creative license to clean me up as needed. Looks like I found my new barber. Michael was great, from his skills to his demeanor. I hate going into a place and they have zero ideas. They will do exactly what you say and nothing more. I told him I'd like a fade and a beard trim, and he made some great suggestions for the shape of my head and features and then did the rest - best haircut in years. 12 quid for the fade, +10 for the beard trim. Here I was expecting to pay a small fortune in London, and it ended being cheaper and better than back in the states! read more

Michael is a legend in Earl's Court and his friendly happy approach makes him a very popular choice among the locals and the many that travel far to get him to tend their hair.. I had the most horrible hair cut ever in this place! The owner doesn't seem to be cutting that bad. However, the other hairdressers are really bad! The guy who cut my hair didn't cut it properly and did exactly the opposite to what I told him. Obviously he wasn't listening - he was rather busy talking to the other hair dresser. He also left me in the chair twice midway through the hair cut and went outside - and didn't even apologize when he came back. He was very unprofessional, rude and incapable! Therefore, I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone! I wasn't even after a stylish hair cut, all I wanted was a fine, normal hair cut and a bit of respect! read more
