I dropped off a king size Alpaca blanket which explicitly said Dry Clean Only and showed it was Alpaca. I received it back shedding and constricted at the hem showing proof of having been washed. When I brought it back in, in spite of the evidence, they said we absolutely did not wash this, e dry cleaned it and returned my cleaning fee for a $900 blanket. I left the blanket there along with any potential business. A mistake is one thing but refusing to take accountability is another. The money wasn't the issue as much as accountability. Btw you sign a waiver saying they will only pay 10x the cleaning fee if in error - it means nothing if they don't admit their error. Don't count on honesty here. I recommend any other dry cleaner in the area.

The change machine did not work and looked like they had been out of order for quite some time. There were signs to go to the bank to get change. We were there after banking hours which did not help. The grocery store next door absolutely refused to give change. So we downloaded the Speed Queen app which the washers and dryers were connected to. What a huge pain. I'm tech savvy and the app required you to enter so much data and would not allow apple payment so I had to actually enter card info. Just for so many inconveniences I would not recommend this place. It was packed too by the way- had to jockey for a washer the. Do the same for a dryer.

I made a trip to Malone today from Lake Placid to pick up a few things. I decided to bring along my…read moreking and queen comforters to see if there was a laundromat I could wash them in as my washer and dryer in my house isn't big enough. I googled laundromats in Malone and three popped up, but one was closed and the reviews for East End Laundry were pretty good so I chose to do it here. What an amazing experience, the place was immaculate. The machines were beautiful and worked really well getting my comforters, nice and clean and dried quickly. I had never seen dryers that rotated clockwise for a couple minutes and then reversed counterclockwise to keep your laundry from just turning into a ball. The whole ambience of the laundromat was a great experience...the comfy chairs, the blue stools next to the folding tables,the clean bathrooms, the TVs. I even noticed how beautiful the floors were. I was a professional figure skater and was on tour for 10 years on the road throughout North America and had to do my laundry while on the road in laundromats. East End Laundry is the nicest laundromat I've ever been in. Lake Placid should take notes... I made the mistake of going to that laundromat once and I won't go back.
