The restaurant itself has a fancy feel right what you walk in, but the menu doesn't feel too fancy in terms of options, and I don't mean that a bad way! Dim lighting, and an elegant feel to the place. They have a bar, but it's quite small. They did ask us if we had a reservation when we walked in, so maybe plan to make one if you intend on going! We got two salads and a pizza. The pizza reminded us of Punch Pizza, a restaurant back in the states. They were great, and honestly like a sense of comfort food. It all came out so fast, I want to say 10 minutes or less. After dinner, we got the Apple Tart and Tiramisu. I'd order the Tiramisu in a heartbeat! So summer and delicious - definitely get that if you have room! Service was great too. When you're done, you stand up and pay by the bar. That's something we've had to adjust to while over here - to not wait for the bill at the table. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars!

Best idea ever ! 1* For the place : Located on Lower Kilmacud road, facing the Stillorgan shopping centre, you open the door to a staircase that leads to the restaurant. The place is huge, with a view on the cool kitchen. It looks like I have travelled to Italy in a blink of an eye ! On the walls, old metallic advertising board given by the previous Italian pub that was there. On th ceiling above our table we can see a gigantic wooden spoon and fork. Why not? 1* For the food : as a starter I had a tomoto & mozarella plate with green pesto, and that was wonderful ! Fresh and tasty. Nom nom... He chose the chicken wings with extra garlic sauce and pepper served by our waiter from a ginormous wooden pepper mill ! As a main I had a ham-artichoke-tomato-mozarella pizza, and he had a spicy diavolo pizza. We honestly were starving but we only managed to get through to half of our respective pizza ! 1* For the service : The staff was unbelievably nice. I couldn't help smiling from start to finish. David, our Italian waiter, was the best ! The food was served really fast, so were the drinks. We never had to think of asking for anything, David was a magician ! He was incredibly sweet too. We left him a well deserved tip. 2* For the overall experience : This is my new pizza place ! I know this is crazy, but everything was so perfect I cannot think of words to describe how well the evening went. I need to add that the price is very reasonable for an amazing quality ! And... they deliver :D We will probably meet there. Leave me your impressions and let me know should you have questions, I will get back to you asap ! ;)

It didn't help that all the businesses around here close after lunch hours and then reopen for dinner! So, we saw the words pizza and decided to give this place a go. Atmosphere: Typical pizza joint. Ordering counter with tables to sit at. Good amount of windows with natural light. Fairly clean for a pizza place. Service: We were greeted very pleasantly and our order taken quickly. We ordered from the counter and then were told we could sit to wait. While we were waiting, the gentleman who took our order came over with out drinks and a vase of bendy straws and napkins. I personally was delighted by this because who doesn't love a bendy straw? Our pizza came out in 10 minutes or less. Granted it wasn't incredibly busy, but we were very happy because we were so hungry. The pizza was even delivered to our table. Presentation wise the pizza looked great! When we left we were also thanked profusely. Not too often that that happens! Food: Both my boyfriend and I got 9" cheese pizzas (personal pan size or 6 small slices). They were pretty darn good. Much better than we were expecting. The crust was delicious - crispy but not over done and still doughy enough to have that Italian bread flavor. The sauce and cheese were good as well. I also appreciated that the pizza wasn't greasy. If anything I would say there could've been more sauce, but that's because I like more sauce then most people. It came out nice and hot too which was great because it was freezing outside! I can only speak for the pizza but I feel I should mention that interestingly, this place also offers American fair such as burgers, wraps, fried chicken, fish, etc. and kebabs of all sorts. Different combination of food offerings than we are used to, but all the more power to ya! Cost: Totally reasonable. Our pizzas were 6 euros each and we had sodas too which were 1.5 euros each. Everything else on the menu is pretty cheap as well. We both ate for under 20 euros which is a bonus in my book! I would say give this place a try, absolutely. Well worth it.

Thank Jeebus we have just reached Blessington - there'll be something here to make him happy again - he's starving.... A bit hungry myself now that I come to think about it. We felt sure the plush new shopping complex in the heart of Blessington would offer some sort of sustenance... but no, the only eatery in sight was pizzamax... well, any port in a storm I guess. I think the phrase "Good Lord" just about covers it..... it was grim and grotty and spartanly decorated and encapsulated everything bad about the cheap nasty takeaway. Never the less we persevered - I reckoned chips would be safe enough and it was just about the only thing himself would deffo eat (yes yes I know, not exactly parent of the year stuff but there are times when getting them to eat ANYTHING is a plus). The cost of 2 portions of chips was 4 euro - I was surprised - you couldn't order 1 portion for that in Dublin. When they arrived there was yet another "Good Lord" moment - the chip portions were GHUGE.. really! - I took a picture, enough for 2 hungry adults. And quality? - actually pretty good, I would go further, I would say they were very good. On top of that the guy behind the counter took a shine to us and popped over a bottle of squash for now sated 2year old - really, I was very pleasantly surprised. In short - if the quality of the rest of the food is anything like the chips then this place is worth a visit but be warned it is the least physically appealing eatery I have ever visited, my feelings are over all mixed and confused about this place, so I think a 3/5 is a very fair score and shall wait for others to have an opinion!.
