Absolutely disgusting and awful service!! My boyfriend and I went in to try and get an appraisal for my 14K White Gold and 0.24 carat diamond necklace which has a retail value of $540.00 and came with a certified card. Tara, the so-called owner was extremely combative when we walked in and very rude immediately. She "weighed" the entire necklace and said she was only going to offer $100.00 after briefly looking at it. She did not even look at the quality of diamonds or even look at the card showing it was certified. My boyfriend asked why she priced it so low and she replied, "I don't need or want it in my inventory so this is what you're going to get for it." As we were leaving the store after declining her offer, she went to the back and started bad mouthing us to her other employees. I then later called back and got disgusting service saying that my boyfriend and I were the ones being combative when we were very polite and respectful to her. I was then hung up on after the lady on the phone said, "I think this conversation is over." You would think that being located in Parker and in a strip mall they would be grateful for customers wanting to do business with them. But for a business that is family owned and small, this is NOT how you conduct yourselves and treat your customers! If I could give them a negative star review I would. After 21.8 years of marriage the diamond from my wedding ring came out. In one of the Facebook Groups I'm in many suggested Bill (William) at Apex Jewelers. I went in and told him the story behind the ring and he showed me the diamonds to replace the one that fell out of the ring. Being that my Anniversary is the 27th of this month I looked at different rings to see if I may want to upgrade. He said, "these rings are beautiful but because of the story behind this ring maybe none of them would be able to measure up to it." That really impressed me. He didn't try to upscale me on anything. Instead, he took the story into consideration and told me that he could make the ring with the missing diamond like new. When I got the call that it was done I was overjoyed. When I saw it. I wanted to cry. It was/ is SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Every once in a while I look down just to look at it. I would highly suggest Apex Jewelers and Bill for any of your jewelry needs and gifts. I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but I brought my engagement ring in to get it sized. The lady that was working when I dropped it off was not the friendliest. They told me it would take 5 days so I called at the 5 day mark and they were rude acting like I was bothering them. I finally gave it a few more days and called again and they said someone had been out of the office sick (I get it, things happen). They finally called me back same day and said someone just resized my ring. I picked up my ring and I have had it back for only a few weeks and two of the stones have fallen out. I specifically asked them to make sure that if any of the stones came loose from resizing it to tighten them. Apex Jewelers did a good job repairing my two pairs of earrings (both of them had ear pieces that broke off). It took about a week to get it done and both of the new parts were noticeably thicker and longer than the original ones. Apex didn't provide a stopper so one of the earrings broke right away. However, they fix it at no charge and were super nice about it so I was really pleased with that. Overall, in my opinion it was a bit pricy ($40 for two tiny pieces) but I understand that this is a small business and it's not their specialty. They do sell super pretty jewelry and have a lot of unique pieces. You have to ring the bell so they can open the door and you can to get in.L! read more

The stone they helped him choose was stunning and the price was reasonable and they allowed us to pay through their 'lay away' program. Fortunately I only got a watch battery changed and had I know how her attitude would be I wouldn't have even given them my $16 for that. I originally took my wedding ring to be resized a little bigger. When I picked it up it felt ok, but after a couple of weeks it seemed too big. My finger must have been swollen from the heat or too much salt. I returned and my ring was resized at no cost. It's perfect now. The people working there for super nice and professional. Great jewelry company. My mom passed away in a car accident while her favorite ring was at Apex getting fixed. I went to pick it up and pay for the repair, and they were so kind to resize the ring (at no charge) to fit my finger instead. It's not the best quality of ring because it was from Walmart originally, but obviously the sentimental value to me is priceless. Because of the lack in quality, a few diamonds continued to fall out, and I took the ring back recently and paid to replace the diamonds, and they made sure this time they will not fall out. They also took one of my husbands old gold rings and cut it in half to make a thicker, better, backside of my Moms ring, because it was deteriorating. In a word....disappointing. They said they were an authorized dealer to fix a watch. I choose not to go through with it (it was more than the original cost) and tried picking up my watch for 4 weeks....in person and by phone. They would not call me back? Gave me the runaround and acted as though it was no problem at all. When I finally did get my watch back, they couldn't produce anything for an estimate (though they said it always came back with one) and would not give me the name of the "repair" person. He was to call me....shocker, he has not. UPDATED REVIEW - APEX LIES I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint about Apex Jewelers just to let potential customers know what Apex was all about (I asked for no money or BBB action, only documentation). I saw Apex's owner's response today -- it was full of lies and basically said Apex did nothing wrong (I guess all rings should be lost for a month and all customers should be lied to with no apology given). The best line was when the owner said she knew nothing about the problem (she passed the buck and blamed the jeweler). Funny thing is, the owner is the one that called me to let me know they had no record of my ring in the first place. I had 2 Rolex watches to sell and after much research around town Apex offered me the best deal and advice. They also bought my old gold jewelry and gave me by far the best deal around. I saw the sign out front that they were buying gold so I went in to see if I could unload my old wedding set rings and a gold band. First of all, when I went in I was greeted by this woman who seemed to have a severe case of A.D.H.D.; when I told her what I came in for she turned around ran to the back room, I guess I was supposed to follow her. So I walked into the room behind and laid out rings along with a couple other pieces of gold items that I had brought in. She must have weighed everything at least 5 times; she couldn't remember what she was doing and kept checking the numbers. Also, she was unable to find the gold stamp on a bracelet and had to call someone else over because she didn't know what to do since it scratched tested as gold but she couldn't see the stamp. The other guy points it out and scampered off quickly. Then she started ripping apart my opal jewelry, removing the gold from it before even asking if I was sure I wanted to do the trade with a NAIL CLIPPER. At that point she didn't even mention how much they would pay for any of it, I had to ask several times on all the different pieces. She says, "Oh you can keep the opals if you want..." I'm looking at her like you must be out of your damned mind woman; you done scratched them all up to hell with that nail clipper trying to get the stone out of its setting. She had to call the other guy back over to remove my stone from the gold, who took it, ran off and came back throwing it onto the desk in front of her. And so... what should have been 10 minute transaction was turned into a half an hour affair. This place was not professional. They paid me crap for my scrap compared to other offers I had received. The ONLY reason I let them take any of my stuff was because she had started ripping things apart before I could say something and I just didn't feel like dealing with it. I won't be back again, not to purchase or sell anything in this shop; it was that bad. I didn't trade the rings, since they offered me less then $100 for all three and I had been offered more elsewhere. read more

SUCK!!!! I took two white gold rings in...one diamond and one aquamarine. The owner (K) told me that since my diamond was 18KT that it would cost me $76 to size down and another $25 to fix a gouge in a prong. The aqua would only cost me $42 to size down. That was fine. I went to pick them up and I put them on and found that both of them were yellow on the underside of the rings. I pointed this out and the cashier took them back to the jeweler who said that I didn't pay for rhodium replacement ($65 EACH) so he wouldn't do it. I said (loud enough for everyone to hear in the store) that no one ever told me that I would have to pay additional for the rhodium replacement and that if I bring in a white gold ring that I should LEAVE with a white gold ring. The cashier took them to the owner (hiding in the back) and she said to go ahead and do it. Well, on my diamond, they did such a crappy job that there are smudges of yellow gold peeking through. My husband asked if I should take it back and have them do it again, but I don't want to deal with the hassle (especially after seeing some of the other reviews). I plan on waiting until the rest of the rhodium wears off and then go to the mall (like someone else indicated earlier). I think a call to the BBB is in order. read more

While I know pawn shops are all about the money, this is a jewelry store and I believe this was wrong! Due to disability I was having problems paying my bills. So I took a ring in that retailed for $3,600 which I added another $250 in gold to the band, which I pawned for $100 with every intention of picking it up. The less I borrow the easier to get it out. I was under so much stress I completely forgot about the ring so of course I lost it. A man that owns a large jewelry store certainly didn't need the money that ring brought in. I see this as a man that took advantage of someone going through hard times!! The kind, compassionate thing would be to have called the owner and remind them money was due. I would have high respect for a man who did this and I would certainly do business with them and praise the man. The reason people pawn things is because they're going through tough times. As far as I'm concerned this is a man with low morals. I couldn't sleep at night if I did this to someone without at least giving them the opportunity to save the ring. Imagine how sick it is to lose a ring that you had $3,850 invested in for $100. If I would have received $500 maybe I could accept it a little better but $100 on a ring that was worth thousands. Come on. I certainly would never do business with someone that takes advantage of other peoples suffering. And from what I'm reading on Yelp, he's not an honorable man in many ways. I certainly hope that karma bites this owner. I'll regret losing this ring for the rest of my life. I was hoping to pass it down to my daughter. And the owner of Apex Jewelers thought nothing on destroying the ring for scrapes. Pathetic!!!! read more
