Unfortunately this was not a positive experience and ended with a somewhat threatening call from the owner. Two guys showed up to clean the gutters and were here for less than 15 minutes. After they left I quickly inspected a section of the gutters and found that the downspouts were not cleaned at all and there was still dirt and leaves in the gutter. I took some photos and contacted Superior to dispute the invoice as the work was not completed correctly. The person I spoke with saw my pictures, agreed the work was substandard and offered to send their employees back out. I didn't want them back on my roof, potentially upset about being called out for sub par work so I refused and said I didn't want to pay the invoice. The office employee said they would have someone call me to discuss further. After three weeks with no response I called again and was told I would receive a call. Two weeks later the owner called me saying he has pictures showing the work was completed correctly and that they do not clean downspouts. He said he wasn't going to discuss the issue any further and if I refused to pay the invoice he would send it to collections. With no recourse outside of litigation, which would be costly and unjustified over a $100 invoice, I reluctantly paid it. I have video footage from my security cameras to prove my claims as well as a couple of pictures following the job. I want others to be aware of my terrible experience and to be careful if you choose to do business with this company. After speaking with others who have done business with this company and reading other's reviews, intimidation seems to be a common tactic along with substandard work. I will no longer be doing business with Superior and caution others to do so at your own risk.

After reading testimonials and reviews on Rapid City roofing contractors, I settled on Bang-Up Roofing for my estimate. A big selling point for me was that the company owner (Gabe) was a Navy veteran and I knew that meant a hard worker with integrity. Gabe came out the same day that I called and for the estimate. I was very pleased with the time he took with my wife and I explaining the insurance claim settlement letter. He is very knowledgeable of all the insurance details. After calling my insurance company to give them Bang-Up Roofing's information, that was the last time I had to deal with them until the job was complete. Gabe took that headache away from me and dealt with every thing. He also worked with us to get the exact shingles and vents we had previously. Other roofing contractors wanted to push another brand or said they only work certain brands but Gabe was all for trying to please. We also made a request that we wanted a roofing crew of no more than 4-5 due to the age of the home and that was no problem. The crew arrived around 7:30am and work was complete including clean-up (which was well done) by around 7pm the same day. The crew did quality work and Gabe makes sure the underlay (what you don't see) is quality materials all up to code and higher, no shortcuts. I know because watched the process. Gabe and Bang-Up Roofing and Construction came through with everything we agreed on they are worth giving a call.

I gave the owner, Deejay. Several chances to fix the mess he made but not surprisingly he was unresponsive. I would not recommend this company.
