It is situated in the business community of Antwerp. The Ramada has a small gym, nice sauna, and night club attach to it. I was too tired to try out the night club, so I guess that I will have to come back for that next time. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and designed well. I love the neighborhood, it had a nice residential feel to it , despite it being located in the business community. I was very happy with my room and the hotel. My Dutchman appreciated the spa very much so.... The only thing that I felt needed improvement was the breakfast. So not worth 15 euros a person, but if you are stuck there on a Sunday, it maybe your only option, because I did not see too many places open so early in Antwerp. The weather was fabulous, we got the chance to take a lovely stroll through the park next door and enjoy a lovely meal around the corner from the hotel. The Italian Restaurant Brusketta was phenomenal, if you are dining at this hotel you must have dinner there. I love this Italian restaurant! The hotel, customer service, neighborhood, and location was ideal for me.

Due to my enforced stay without luggage (the airline cancelled my flight home after my…read morethere-and-back business trip), I was prepared to be cross and difficult, but the staff were excellent in responding to my needs, from the moment of handing me a disposable toothbrush as I checked in. Nice big rooms with good bathroom and comfortable bed, but the first thing I noticed was the lack of a fluffy bathrobe. However, one was delivered to my room about 90 seconds after I'd phoned housekeeping to request one. Someone else arrived promptly to fix the heating soon after (it was freezing in the room). When I woke in the early hours of the following morning to discover my phone battery was empty, the receptionist recharged it for me (thank goodness for the fluffy bathrobe). They also called me a cab so that I could make my way to Brussels Eurostar for a quick getaway back to the office. The only gripe was with room service - why do so many hotels think it's OK to serve a hot meal on a cold plate (and with no cover)? Apart from that, full marks to them. PS I have no idea how expensive this hotel is, as the airline paid for it.

This is a gem. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. Each room comes with a minibar. Modern bathroom with a high pressure shower to die for. The rooms were very quiet which meant great nights sleep. They do have a Resturant which serves buffer breakfast and a bar that is expensive and quiet. I will defiantly stay here again.

What is their fault is that hallways outside room stink, like hot rotten eggs. So gross. Probably old carpets. My only real complaint!

The Cathedral of Our Lady is undergoing renovations so beware of the construction noise starting at 7 am. The room was clean and comfortable, the wifi was fast, the water pressure and temperature were spot-on, and the staff was helpful, efficient, and kind. The walls/doors are a bit thin, so you really can hear people out in the hall, so I recommend bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper (eye mask is optional--they have blackout drapes). The soap provided is an all-in-one (shampoo/body wash/hand soap), so if you like lotion and conditioner, you'll want to bring your own. I'm very likely to stay here again the next time I come see a show.

One thing about that, if you have a big car, forget it - the turns you have to make to get in and out are impossible with a small car (you have to see to believe). The only complaint is that smokers hang out by the door and lobby, so you have to pass a layer of smoke to get in or out but they have non-smoking rooms so it was not a deal-breaker for me.

Orange juice and tomato juice were the only option. Sometimes there was a mango smoothie. There are self-serve coffee machines that include warm milk. There are waffles with Nutella and mini pancakes. During the last two days, the hotel was making renovations to the floor where the restaurant is. We were sent to have breakfast on the 12th floor. The view of Antwerp is spectacular. When you arrive, you get two free waters in the fridge. If you forego cleaning the next day, you can get a free drink. I believe it's beer, wine and sodas. I had a wonderful margarita at the bar but it cost me 15 Euros. The world cup games were showing at the lobby and they were offered Popsicles. It's a great location as you have the train station next door. I had arrived by train from the Brussels airport. Around the corner from the hotel you can go to Lidl supermarket to buy prepared foods. On the other side of the train station, a longer walk, you have Albert Heijn supermarket. They have a bigger variety. I bought a delicious sandwich with plant based bacon. The only problem I have is with the bath tub in the room. It's slippery. I had to put the floor towel on the tub so I wouldn't slip. They have shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and hand soap in the bathroom. I was glad to see that. It's a great hotel unless you want to stay in the city center.

I had a seamless check in with Colin and Dorothy who gave me great recommendations of local restaurants and sights to see. Top-notch view out of our room with balcony. The breakfast on the 12th floor was the best breakfast view I've ever had. The food was great and Noa was such a help when she showed us around and the balcony that was perfect for sipping coffee from. It is a shame that it was just temporarily on the 12th floor. We did have two issues with the room; our lamp was inoperable (But the lovely Klaas helped us out quickly) and a lot of noice issues from the fitness above our room that woke us up. Every day, in the lobby, I felt so at home with warm greetings from staff. The front desk workers approached and asked how my stay was. The bar had great drinks and amazing Chicken Cesar Salad. Iulia made amazing Gin and tonic from a locally made Gin and she was lovely company while we sat and enjoyed our drinks in the lounge. For the rest, it was great. Colin, Dorothy, Randy, Wout, Noa, Iulia, Klaas all deserve a round of applause for making our stay amazing.

In a great location and only around the corner from where I initially intended on staying, at the reception desk they confirmed twin room available, just with a shared bathroom. Hey, beggars can be choosers! I was on the 3rd floor (top floor) and without a lift, I had to navigate the very steep narrow stairwell with a suitcase... No offer of help was given. I'm confused as to how the available person travelling with a suitcase managed to get up or down, i'm not too old or unfit... If my folks had booked here, they would have died midway! The room was so tiny, I mean tiny... The shared bathroom, well there was a very small toilet on my floor though as for a shower, it was on the 2nd floor and hey, I'm thinking how bad can it be... It was literally the size of a tiny cupboard, only 1 shower available and your space to dry/dress yourself is practically in the shower so you have to dress whilst till wet and clammy from the steam / water condensation. Thanks for helping me out last minute, but if I return to Antwerpen unfortunately it won't be a place I return to. Oh and free wifi in all rooms, eh, that must be then all rooms except mine!

This is a funny one, we actually booked this hotel under another name (with the address next door)…read moreand were briefly confused on arrival when there was no door under that name (?) Still, we were pleasantly surprised by this one! Once again it's a great, small family-run hotel smack in the middle of the tourist area of Antwerp, but conveniently removed from all of the busiest areas. The main square is two blocks away, the restaurant hub one block away, and the main drag for hoity-toity shopping is maybe a five-minute walk. The front door also looks straight at the Cathedral Speaking of the Cathedral, our room had two sets of full-wall windows, one on each side, and one of those looked straight up the Cathedral's clock tower, which was a super cool view :) Big, roomy bathroom, very comfy beds. Oh! And the breakfast area is spectacular! Come to think of it, so is the breakfast, can't go wrong there. Also, since we were catching an early train back to Brussels to get our flight home, the front desk lady agreed to put out breakfast a full half-hour early (she offered a full hour, but we talked her down) just for us! Sidebar- free wi-fi, decent speeds and connection even from the top floor, they did also ask for a local hotel tax upon arrival, which was a bit of a surprise. I think my favorite part about this one though was the night shift manager. He's retired and I'm not sure how often he works in the evenings, but he was wonderful - gave us excellent directions and local recommendations, told us some stories, and made us promise that once we returned to the US we would be sure to start asking restaurants to call their pomme frites "Belgian Fries," instead of giving that one other country all the credit. Oh! Final note, the stairs. A lot of stairs in Belgium are an aggressive sobriety test - you get cheap beer and wine all day long, and then have to get up and down steep, tiny stairs. These were particularly intense, watch your step :)
