I am new to this practice because my primary care physician of 30 years retired. Overall I am very impressed with the follow up and organization demonstrated by the entire staff. Dr. Kallem is respectful, pleasant, and knowledgeable. She listens to my concerns and suggests alternative approaches without lecturing. In addition this practice uses the UCSF patient portal so all test results and physician notes are available quickly and in complete form. Dr. Sangwan is the absolute worst. Although Dr. Thiru from the same practice is my PCP (and is a good practitioner), I've had to see Dr. Sangwan a few times because of availability. She is the most unprofessional, rude doctors I have ever come across and I say this with multiple data points to support. In 2022 or 2023, she casually told me in an appointment that my husband and I should look at staying childfree because apparently a lot of people choose to remain that way and settle down in a place like Iceland. Mind you- I was not seeking her medical inputs on conception or pregnancy. This was just a passing thought and wisdom from her. In 2024, I was late for an appointment by 10 minutes this one time, and I would have accepted a no-show and reschedule. Instead she decided to take me in but she interrupted her staff from taking my vitals by literally pulling out the cuffs of the BP monitor off my arm. She was physically violent when she did it, I was too shocked to react. Today, I had an appointment with her for which she didn't show up for 45 mins when I was there on time. The justification from her staff was that the next patient arrived early. Really? What about decency and accountability? Dr. Thiru was nice enough to come and see me instead even though my appointment was not with her. Do better, Dr. Sangwan. And learn some decency and professionalism if you can. Dr. Sangwan is one of the most thoughtful and hands-on doctors I've had. During my last visit, she took the time to literally demonstrate an exercise to help with my lower back stiffness and in general made me feel genuinely heard during my visit. I was looking for a new PCP, came in for my annual physical but we ran out of time to do the physical after taking my vitals. Ok... front desk schedules me to come back next week to finish the physical. And I get charged for that first visit! Doctors really give their time to the patient and hear their concerns. Never rush through appointments and do a through job.

Dr. Kallem is an attentive doctor who both invests in her patients and also clearly invests in medical education and training. She gives good advice and takes your concerns seriously. The supporting staff are also great, and really prompt in responding to your calls and messages. I've even been able to get same day appointments. I'm glad I found this office! read more

She was not rushing through the appointment, and she cared about other details of the appointment, like food and other logistics that go hand in hand with any medical treatment. Dr. Sangwan's practice is highly dysfunctional. I found that they do not get back in a timely manner when referrals are needed. I had an eye infection that needed urgent attention. I did not hear from her office for over a week. I ended up going to Urgent care. I needed a vaccine, made an appointment, they forgot to order the vaccine. I cancelled my concierge contract with them after 3 months and they refused to give me my full refund. Their office staff told me conflicting info regarding what I should be refunded for. I would not recommend this practice. I do not trust their judgement or capabilities. read more

tldr; this clinic is horrible all around, do not come here. especially DO NOT come here if you're a new patient because they'll charge you a $500 new patient fee which they purposely don't disclose and just bill you for after the fact. service was unprofessional too. i paid around $150 upfront at the check in desk for copay and "paperwork fees" to see the doctor. (this is in-network general provider for my plan) when i go in for my check in, there's a random teenager present with a clipboard the whole time without the nurses or doctor ever mentioning or explaining to me who they were or why they were there. it made me so uncomfortable on top of my existing health condition that i came in for. i had ask what was going on and say i preferred not to have someone shadow especially since they just sprung it on me like that. it was really unprofessional overall. my bill breakdown months later shows they charged another $471 for "office OP new medium" which apparently is their hidden fee "for new patients." they never mention this fee even though i explicitly asked multiple times when filling out initial paper work at the front desk and clarifying terms in the paperwork. unprofessional and fraudulent, go literally anywhere else. read more

I took my wife to this clinic for a regular annual checkup. It turned out that she had very high BP. Doctor then asked if there are any other medical problems my wife has and my wife complained about occasional chest pain. Based on this the doctor recommended ECG, Albumin, thyroxin and hemoglobin tests. While we did these tests in Pamf, but the clinic sent wrong diagnosis code to Pamf because of which it looked like all the tests were part of annual checkup. My insurance provider (bcbs) just rejected the claim and made me pay for it. Now even after multiple calls to the clinic and speaking to numerous people who sit on their front desk, the issue still stands. It has been more than 3 months now and it has not been resolved. I have paid more than $200 to Pamf for wrong diagnosis code that clinic shared with them. It is unfortunate that despite calling them so many times they still don't understand where and what is the problem (atleast pretend that they don't understand). I will not recommend going to this clinic based on Issues I have been having with their billing department. read more

After many months of looking for a doctor and having so many bad experiences with doctors and scheduling departments...and let us not forget the three misdiagnoses give to me. Then something great happened!!! God bless me with Dr. Sangwan. She is not only the real deal she is an amazing doctor. She listens to you and never makes you feel like you have to rush. She explains in detail what is going on with you in a way that you understand and don't feel like you have to have a medical degree to understand what she is saying. With the issues I was having she helped me to work through them one by one to the point where I have become an advocate for my own health care. The bar has been set high, if I ever see another doctor (I doubt that will ever happen, unless I have medical insurance she does not exceptL) they will have big shoes to fill. Great staff, clean and welcoming office and well just an all-around great place to go when you are feeling crummy or just coming in for your annual. Dr. Sangwan was very nice and helpful. She gave us time and understood the situation correctly and recommendations were very helpful. I am taking two stars off in my review because I feel the staff at her clinic are very inefficient. We were running out of the medication for my mom's chronic condition and called her office to send a refill to my pharmacy and they said they are going to send it over immediately and never happened. Second time they said it is already sent and made me waste a trip to the pharmacy. And next time on the second day one of them arrogantly mentions that they have a three day policy to process refills and because the doctor is busy this might be even delayed. It is annoying to get these conflicting updates and why pretend on the phone as if you guys care when you really and clearly don't. read more

I truly feel when I am in her office she cares for my well being. Horrible! Do not go here, literally nobody knows what they are doing. Nobody at the front desk knows how to process anything correctly. It took them over a month to finally get me in for an MRI because nobody knew what they were doing. I had to call over 10 times to finally get the correct paperwork that they were supposed to process weeks ago. I literally had my insurance company call them and walk them thru how to process it correctly and they still messed it up. When I finally went to the radiology place for my MRI, the staff told me that they continuously have issues with this doctors office. Dr Sangwa the only time I saw her rushed my entire appointment, said she was super busy but there was literally nobody else there. The doctor that actually helped me and did video appointments with me doesn't technically work at this office hence the video calls, I think she works at a different location but is in the same network and does video appointments for this office. But she was amazing and I am so grateful for her help, if it wasn't for her I don't know what I would have done. She actually cares about her patients. But everyone that works in this office 0 out of 10. You know it's bad if the radiology place warned me about them. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had, so want to post it here. I came with my wife because my wife had to get her ear wax removed. We were told that our insurance covers it all and we will not be required to pay anything but after 2 months we got a huge bill to our name. After talking to Dr Seema Sangwan and explaining her the situation she is not at all ready to listen and was very rude while talking. I have never imagined a doctor to be so rude to a person. It was very unprofessional. I will never ever visit any clinic of Dr Seema and will suggest people to be very careful. Even the problem which my wife had was never treated well. I was looking to change my PCP and scheduled a consultation appointment with Dr. Sangwan after stumbling upon Apollo Health Care Center's facebook page. Not only was Dr. Sangwan incredibly genuine and knowledgeable, but she also took the time to assess all my health concerns and medical history. The staff is very friendly and were able to answer all my inquiries thoroughly. Not to mention the office looks and feels like a spa getaway! Definitely not your typical doctor's office environment, everything feels much more personable. It feels great to now have a PCP I can form a long-term doctor/patient relationship with.
