Pastor Bullus and Pastor Vebiang Gago are true "do as I do" leaders, the Spirit of God is alive at C3, and the people are so warm and welcoming. There's a sincerity here and a real hunger to know God more deeply that you can feel. There's no other church for me. If you're Catholic and you want to learn more about your faith, again, you can do that here. If you've never been to the traditional Latin Mass, you must come and see what the Catholic Church used to be. Every church seemed to claim it had the truth, and I didn't know who to trust. As I began studying the history of Christianity, I became convinced that Oriental Orthodoxy had preserved the faith handed down by the Apostles, so I decided to visit St. Mary and St. Athanasius. When I first arrived, the church doors were locked and the building appeared empty. The candle area was open, so I stepped inside to pray. Within moments, a young woman from the church's youth group came running over and warmly introduced herself, asking who I was and what had brought me there. After hearing my story, she unlocked the church and, together with her brother, gave me a tour. What struck me most wasn't just their kindness--it was how young they were and yet how deeply they knew and loved their faith. Their knowledge, humility, and joy were incredibly refreshing. Over the following weeks I got to know them, many other members of the parish, and the clergy. They welcomed me with genuine love and invited me to spend my very first Holy Week as a Christian with them. Although I wasn't Egyptian and came from a completely different background, I was never treated like an outsider. From the very beginning, I was welcomed as family. Today, several years later, I serve as an altar server at St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church. Even so, I still visit St. Mary and St. Athanasius from time to time to see the priests and friends I met during those first weeks of my walk with Christ. I can honestly say that the love, patience, guidance, and hospitality I received at this parish became a foundational part of my spiritual journey. I will always be grateful for the way this community cared for a young believer who knew almost nothing but sincerely wanted to know Christ. I am especially thankful to Fr. It is a really negative environment and not welcoming at all. They are very colorist so the darker your skin tone, the more horribly treated you get.
