Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as positive as I had hoped. During my appointment, I explained my symptoms to Dr. Duncan and he had me do a couple of exercises to assess my strength. However, I struggled with one of the exercises, and instead of offering support or understanding, Dr. Duncan's comment, "come on now, you can do this," felt dismissive. His comment was very unprofessional, and I am thinking "are you kidding me?" Additionally, Dr. Duncan recommended a procedure, but after how he handled my struggle with the exercise, I definitely didn't feel comfortable with him performing any medical procedure on me. I left the appointment feeling uncertain about the next steps. He didn't clearly explain why the procedure needed to be done twice or why it was required by the insurance company, which left me feeling confused and without a full understanding of my options. Even the X-ray he provided had unclear medical notes that I couldn't make sense of, and he didn't offer any explanation to help clarify them. Overall, I felt that Dr. Duncan lacked empathy and a proper bedside manner, which made the experience uncomfortable. I would have appreciated more detailed communication and professionalism. It's important for healthcare providers to listen to patients and clearly explain medical processes. I hope that future visits to Watauga Orthopedics are handled with more transparency and compassion. BTW I haven't received a survey asking about my experience, but I have received several emails regarding my co-pay. And of course, I'll pay my co-pay because who wants or needs $50 going to collections. Sarah W.

When you walk in you'll see the lovely Mel or Ashley at the front desk ready to check you in with a warm smile. Sometimes I have scheduling issues that require creative problem solving and Mel always has the answer paired with a positive attitude. The physical therapists there are great. Each member on the team not only brings their A game every day but also their individual strengths. Ryan believes in you more than you'll believe in yourself some days. It's good because you'll find yourself saying "wow I can't believe I achieved that". Austin is very creative with his exercises so neither you nor your muscles ever get used to the same old thing stuck making no progress. Hailey is a great listener and sincerely invested in what you have to say about how you're feeling. Aubrey isn't there anymore but I have to give her a shout out for her personality. Also, I'm a single mom who has to bring my 3 year old sometimes. He loves it there and they really enjoy him too. Many moms bring their kids when they need because lord knows us moms help ourselves last. Anyways, I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I just cannot recommend them enough. I just got off the phone after calling to ask about my owed balance for a treatment I did not…read morerealize I was accepting when I came back in for my "X ray consultation" and was told it was time to begin services after we reviewed the X ray. I'd expressed my concern of wanting to proceed until I'd consulted with a neurologist and I only used this office originally for the cheap next day X ray when no real doctors were able to get me in quickly. Turns out that because I did not agree to go forward and continue with my proposed treatment plan that what I was told and under the assumption was part of my "zero cost today consultation" was billed for $125 dollars. I called to pay my balance and express my concern that this felt like I was duped and I had to sign my agreement after the services were already done, though I did not actually want or need chiro work as I'm dealing with an AI issue and now moving out of state for treatment of that. Had I not been spoken to the way that Dr Michael just spoke to me I'd have paid my balance and gone on with my day but I feel that the attitude and blaming me for not understanding their procedure warranted writing this review. If you're not 100% certain you want or need to go forward with chiro work, be wary going forward with Integral wellness or you'll get yelled at for being confused by their procedure and have to pay anyway. Balance is paid, I wasn't seeking free work I couldn't afford, I wanted to explain my concern and was basically told "too bad, you got it wrong not us, now pay up" I hope you're extra $125 dollars is worth this 1* review.

I feel like they are true partners in not only helping people get but, but also on the prevention side. I feel good, but discovered few things that I need help with. They are on it. We have a plan and are going to work that plan so I can feel even better. My husband has been seeing Dr Michael for nearly a year and his health has improved drastically! I never imagined he would feel this good. His neuropathy is gone. His diabetes is in hand. We can almost say it is completely reversed. Something his regular doctor said could never happen. Dr Michael personally greets everyone at the door, and even calls them by name. The environment is welcoming, clean and you are ALWAYS greeted with a happy staff.
