If there was a way just to review the admin staff, I'd give them negative stars. God, Family, Country. Apparently not at Watagua Orthopedics though. Their motto is work first. I know someone that works at Watagua Orthopedics. She loves her job and she loves the people she works with. She put in a time off request for a personal matter that will take her out of state for 2 weeks. She only has 1 week of PTO. The company handbook states that management can approve the remaining unpaid time off requested "at their discretion". They have denied the time off. Imagine. Your work says NO, you cant take time off. It doesnt matter that the request was made 6 weeks prior to the time off. She has received disciplinary action in the form of a write up for job abandonment already even though the time off hasn't yet been taken. She has been told that at the expiration of the pto available, she will be terminated. She fought hard to keep her job but the lead people that have "the discretion " have decided they would rather play hard ball. Specifically BRENT and JOJO. It doesnt matter that in 18 months of employment she has only called out one time. It doesnt matter that she's a dedicated employee that often stays late when needed. She reported that she was being required to do things outside her scope of practice at the beginning of April of this year. Releasing test results, required to do the job description of multiple positions, etc. Since reporting this, she has been retaliated against by the administration- Specifically Brent. When a complaint for harassment amd retaliation was filed, administration told her "that is your perception" and dismissed her complaint. Isn't that the whole point of a harrassment claim- your perception? Respectfully, this is not how you treat your employees. No wonder they go thru staffing like toilet paper. Because they treat them like poop they scrape off their shoe.

I've had a neurologist, a cardiologist an orthopedist, a Thoracic Surgeons and just about any other kind of doctor you could imagine work on me. but I never ever ever realized the true value of a nurse until I spent all that time in the hospital. I had the great privilege of being a friend of one of the most respected Thoracic Surgeons in the country, dr. Joseph Wilson, in Palm Springs California. And dr. Wilson told me if I truly wanted to know what the best thing to do was, just ask the nurses that took care of the patients after the doctor got done working on them? What an interesting concept coming from a doctor, it may be one of the reasons he is so highly respected! What does this have to do with Johnson City Family Physicians? When I decided to leave California and the comfort of all my knowing doctors in that area I came to Johnson City and found out that sometimes that care is not always the same or the care allowed is not always the same in different states. So after a few failed attempt to find a family physician here in Tennessee, something led me, for those of you that believe in God you'll know what I mean for those of you who don't let's just call it a very interesting set of circumstances. I made an appointment with a nurse practitioner? That is a person who started out in the medical field to provide the care and compassion that a nurse does and then through their own personal desire went back to school and got a master's in order to be able to prescribe and care for patients just like a doctor does. So you get the care and compassion of a nurse send it in with the capabilities of a doctor, and I can assure you did some doctors aren't really that interested in your personal being? I know that sounds funny but if you would like me to share instances out of the hospital with you I will. So went to the office and I should have known right when the nurse came out to get me, her name was Doris Hardin, and my aunt Doris was married to my Uncle Joe and brought me to Great cousins and I used to work with a gentleman named Denning Hardin, who always made me laugh because he said there is no ding in Hardin hahaha and then the nurse practitioner Doctor Pat Gibson came in, and it was my aunt passed who offered to adopt me from my mom because my mom was only 17 years old when I was born set my mom chose to come to California and live with her sister on Gibson Road in Woodland Cprovideralifornia! So the words and the word Gibson were both big parts of my life before I even got here and I mean a lot to me and fortunately they mean far more to me now than they used to because I have found a caring considerate understanding and a dog loving oh, and it was a dog's love and push that actually got me back walking again so, well, I would have given Dr Gibson 20 Stars but that would have been a couple hundred too short? Or maybe thousands?

Unfortunately there was a terrible auto accident on US26S and I was held up in traffic and arrived a little late but the Doctor welcomed me and was very understanding . Both the Doctor (Kim) and her Assistant/ Secretary (Rob) made me feel at ease and made sure I was comfortable. The facility was very clean, modern, and comfortable. Since this was my first visit the Doctor had to review my medical record while I completed a new patient data form. Even so, I didn't wait more than 10 minutes maximum before being called it to see the Doctor. In my experience I found her to be very intelligent, professional, polite, courteous, thoughtful and very thorough. I really liked the way that she listened to my concerns and actually appeared to care about my well being. Instead of being like so many doctors with the DICTATOR complex she actually explained things to me in a manner that I could easily understand them and she suggested a number of options for me to consider and choose. However, I must clarify that the Doctor was very professional and she did counsel me on my weight and the ramifications and dangers to my overall health and well being. But then she countered with very sensible and viable solutions so I can also say that she is well rounded :) t was a very pleasant doctor visit if there ever was one :) I would definitely recommend her to all of my family, friends, and colleges alike. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as positive as I had hoped. During my appointment, I explained my symptoms to Dr. Duncan and he had me do a couple of exercises to assess my strength. However, I struggled with one of the exercises, and instead of offering support or understanding, Dr. Duncan's comment, "come on now, you can do this," felt dismissive. His comment was very unprofessional, and I am thinking "are you kidding me?" Additionally, Dr. Duncan recommended a procedure, but after how he handled my struggle with the exercise, I definitely didn't feel comfortable with him performing any medical procedure on me. I left the appointment feeling uncertain about the next steps. He didn't clearly explain why the procedure needed to be done twice or why it was required by the insurance company, which left me feeling confused and without a full understanding of my options. Even the X-ray he provided had unclear medical notes that I couldn't make sense of, and he didn't offer any explanation to help clarify them. Overall, I felt that Dr. Duncan lacked empathy and a proper bedside manner, which made the experience uncomfortable. I would have appreciated more detailed communication and professionalism. It's important for healthcare providers to listen to patients and clearly explain medical processes. I hope that future visits to Watauga Orthopedics are handled with more transparency and compassion. BTW I haven't received a survey asking about my experience, but I have received several emails regarding my co-pay. And of course, I'll pay my co-pay because who wants or needs $50 going to collections. Sarah W.

I'm very happy with the care I receive from Baileyton Medical Center. The doctor and staff are very…read moreknowledgeable, caring and friendly. I never feel rushed during visits as they spend ample time interviewing and doing the exam, as well as, including me in medical decisions. There's an on site lab for blood work and they always follow up with results or concerns. I'm very impressed with the medical care I've received from this establishment.
