Janice and the other ladies in the office are amazing!! Patient and professional. On my move in day, I had a rough morning and had been crying when I walked into the leasing office. Janice comforted me and told me everything would be okay. I accidentally setup renters insurance through the wrong company, and Janice helped me cancel and setup the right one. I felt supported, not just another tenant being pushed along. Quiet community and I never worry about parking as there is no assigned spaces here. Always have a good spot close to my unit. I would disagree with the overall 2.9 rating Apple Creek currently has. Overall I give them a high 4.0-4.5. The complex was built in 1986, almost 40 years ago, so unless you're lucky enough to get into one of the updated 'Deluxe' units (which I wasn't as they're high in demand & not vacant often) the only option available is the standard non-remodeled unit. Which are quite out-dated. That being said, even the older units are cozy & comfortable despite the outdated finishes. Where Apple Creek really excels is the amazing & prompt service & response from management & maintenance for any reason. Typically within 1-2 days. Most of all however, is the stunning indoor pool & Jacuzzi, Amazon locker/mail room (no need to worry about anyone stealing your packages or being misdelivered - if either occurs Amazon C/S promptly tracks missing package & either sends new item or credits you immediately) Additionally, the Millard school district is excellent, numerous choices for shopping, groceries & restaurants are fantastic. *PROS: Excellent school district, polite & friendly staff/residents, close to all, amazing indoor pool, Jacuzzi & gym, maintenance response incredibly quickly if needed, 1-2 days at most, then leaves a card on your counter & sends email stating what was completed, cozy fireplace & huge balcony in every unit, very pet-friendly with an adorable enclosed pet play area. *CONS: The older units are extremely outdated. Which isn't an issue if you don't mind making small upgrades as I did. I replaced my kitchen faucet & bathroom showerheads & maintenance installed free of charge. They also replaced the 1980's unreadable thermostat to a digital one free of charge. The size of unit is a bit small. I had to return the dinette set I purchased from lack of space. Parking is challenging most days, but #1 is access to the indoor pool/Jacuzzi. It is only available during 'office hours' M-S, but management changes that at their discretion. Before moving in I was told access was to be changed via resident key fobs but that still hasn't been approved. Lastly, in addition to your rent each month you are also responsible for water, trash & sewage each month. read more

I've been having a great experience since living at Apple Creek since August. The maintenance team is wonderful... my most recent I needed assistance with my bathroom sink, my shower , and replacing my kitchen light.. he and they are always so helpful and nice! I even received a brand new beautiful shower head.. All the staff is great! My only wish is , I wish there was some key phob system for the pool & hot tub also since the office now closes at 4pm on Saturdays for it to be open until a later hour.. and I wish we could use the nice club house area for small get together's.. Otherwise, all the staff is very fair and helpful for whatever questions or issues that come, and are always friendly to approach. I have lived here for 3 years now after living in a house for the past 20 years. So I was worried being on my own and the horror stories of apartment living. I am realistic that there will be a certain amount of noise during the day, early evening and weekends. The few times I had to contact management due to loud neighbors. I received an email from the property manager acknowledging my concerns. Along with a follow up email to ask if the problem has been resolved. Sometimes the issue was not resolved initially but she still was kind, understanding and continued to email asking for updates. If necessary she took appropriate action so that the issue was finally resolved. That means a lot as she demonstrated her value of me as a person and a tenant. flowers, water feature, playground and common The main reason I chose this property is the location-not on a busy street, plenty of shopping restaurants entertainment options. The property has a playground and green area-small trees, bushes, flowers and water feature that has a patio and grills. The clubhouse is nice, I have not used the pool, hot tub or workout area. I feel safe here, there is security that I see patrolling at night sometimes. Management will send email notices if there is any reported crime (car break ins). Which is good to know even though I have a garage. I am in a 720 sq ft unit, 3rd flr on the back end of the property. My building faces the back of houses on the next block. For the most part that is not too bad. I love my private entrance, laundry room with full washer and dryer, not those little stackables and a semi-private balcony. The appliances are older but work just fine, I haven't had any issues. Maintenance makes repairs the same day if urgent and leaves a note to confirm the repairs were completed. One of the management team will follow up afterwards to confirm the repairs were completed satisfactory. When pest control was needed, a known commercial company came out quickly. And continued to follow up and make sure there are no continued issues. Most important of all is the management team is friendly, sympathetic and professional. After living here for one year (September 2020-September 2021), my husband and I have decided to relocate for more space. We rented a 1BR "Gala" style apartment at 520 Sq. Ft. I would like to preface this review by saying that these are our personal experiences, and this review is completely voluntary. All in all, my complaints are far, few, and in between. Generally, our stay here has been enjoyable. Management/ Leasing Office: In the interactions that I have had with the staff in the leasing office, they have always been friendly and professional. Communication is great, and they are more than willing to accommodate tenants and resolve any issues. Maintenance: It was easy to request maintenance. For less than urgent issues, you can submit a ticket online, and the staff is quick to follow up. We had an urgent issue in the middle of the summer when the air conditioning went out, and they were quick to come in and fix it in a timely manner. The only issue I ever had with maintenance was the time they came in (with permission) while I was at work to work on the tub because my downstairs neighbor was complaining of a leak. I had a ceramic toilet paper holder that was knocked of off the wall and cracked into two pieces. I'm assuming it was stepped on. No note or anything was left about that. Clubhouse: The pool, hot tub, and gym were just recently made available to tenants again after being closed because of the pandemic. I would say 80% of our time here, we were unable to access the amenities in the clubhouse. Personally, even after reopening, I never used the pool or jacuzzi. I have been to the gym many times. It's very quaint, but has some nice equipment with 24hr access. Whenever I was there, no other people were in there. It was rather hot in there, and I don't believe the windows could be opened. There were a couple of fans. Environment/ Area: The apartments are located in a very convenient place. They are close to everything. There are shipping plazas right up West Center Road, a mall nearby, and a middle school and high school both within 10 minutes. There's also a grocery store within walking distance. Parking: Personally, I didn't have any issues with finding parking. That was one thing I was worried about because I'd read reviews that people were having trouble finding a place to park late at night. I lived in the far back right end of the complex, and there were always empty spots. Coming in late at night, I did notice a lot of cars parked alongside the curb at the entrance of the complex in the roundabout. That was rather annoying. They park super close to the entrance and then you have to try to maneuver around them to get inside the entranceway. Also during the snowy months, I was surprised that people still parked there trusting people to not slide on patches of ice around that curve into their cars. During the winter, the apartments kept the lots clean within reason. After 2020's winter, there were massive potholes everywhere, but they were quick to patch them up. As far as parking goes, you always have the choice of renting a garage. It's likely that an available garage won't be anywhere near your building. We were lucky that ours was directly across from the building. It was a pain getting the truck in and out of it because it was a tight fit, so we just ended up using it as a storage unit--collecting furniture for our bigger place. Neighbors: The neighbors were absolutely wonderful. I had no issues with the neighbors. They were quick to help dig cars out of the snow, lended us shovels, baked us cookies, and just had good conversation in general. We were lucky to be surrounded by friendly people. Apartment: As I mentioned, the apartment was a 1 BR. I was coming from out of state in Fall of 2020, and I needed to find a place ASAP. It was extremely small, but there's a lot of tricks to making a small space look bigger and just decorating to make it feel aesthetically nice and cozy. The apartment was affordable. There was new carpet when I moved in, and it was clean. I will say that the appliances are rather old, but they do work. One thing that I did not like is how there is no light in the living room. Living on the back side of the complex, there's not a lot of sun, so it was rather gloomy looking in the living room at times. The bathroom was decent. A washer and dryer was included in its own little room outside the bathroom, but the door could not be shut because the dryer protruded out too far. I would recommend a 1BR to a single person. There is adequate space for one person. Also, if you're stationed at Offutt and looking at moving here, give yourself about 40 minutes to get to work on time--better early than late. In the winter, leave an hour early. Ultimately, I've enjoyed my time here. The neighbors are great. The staff is great. The area is convenient. I'll include pictures. The absolute worst experience of my life living in these apartments and dealing with the absolutely horrible staff! There's a reason why the reviews are so negative on here and Applecreek apartments will do everything possible to make your stay a living nightmare. I don't even know where to start with all of this BS I have put up with. First off they moved me into a building that allows smoking after I told them that I have a lung disease. They never once disclosed that there is smoking allowed in the buildings. The only option they gave me was to move out. After I showed them their contract that clearly states there is no smoking allowed they decided that I could move into a smoke free building. Once you would think that's solved the filthy neighbors apartment gets infested with bed bugs and instead of kicking the dirty people out or making them clean up after themselves they tell everyone in the building it's their responsibility to either clean it up or move. Now I wake up this morning and my thermostat is out and not working. I call and leave a voicemail only for it to go ignored. Wait an hour and half and call back only to get greeted by the nasty rude staff and have them basically tell me that they were an hour late to work and it's my problem the heater has been running all night and running up my bill. They said they sent maintenance over as well but they clearly didn't because the heater was still running. I'm sure this is only the beginning of my hassles with this issue as well. A simple thermostat that could be changed out in 10 minutes turns into an entire ordeal and process with these people and it always ends up with the tenant upset. All in all, these people could absolutely care less about people and their main thing is to get you to sign that lease as soon as possible so they can get your money, have you leave because of their mismanagement and horrible facilities, and then bring in the next sucker to get their money and keep the process rolling. read more

DO NOT MOVE HERE. ROACHES. My partner and I lived here for a year. We moved in in February and around June noticed lots and lots of roaches. We called and they came to spray leave traps and everything. Nothing worked. We bought our own traps and sprays, did not work. I told them nothings working and they said give it more time. It was clear they did not care and I was miserable living in a place with roaches. I hated coming home I felt dirty. Also our upstairs neighbors would play very loud music, fight, smoke and drink. I even had to call the police on them because I suspected the husband was verbally if not physically abusing his wife. Basically management just did not care. read more

I have lived in Apple Creek Apartments since early 2018 (6 years). Great indoor pool, hot tub, packages delivered to individual lockers to be kept safe, 24 hr locked mailroom, friendly and respectful maintenance staff, responsive and knowledgable office staff, 24 hr gym, recycling picked up weekly at your door, security company that roves randomly at night so no potential criminals can plan around their arrival, dog park, playground, close to excellent schools, close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Pets allowed, and washers and dryers are included. Excellent manager actively upkeeps property: new siding, cracked sidewalk squares replaced, cement under stairs replaced, terrace walls replaced, holes and cracks in parking lot properly filled with concrete, new staff member recently hired to do landscaping, new railings installed. The only downside is that that the buildings are old and you can hear your neighbors if you live on the first or second floor. If you have quiet neighbors with quiet pets, or if you live on the third floor, it's the perfect place to live! (I have lived on the second floor and I now live on the third floor). Some additional things to know: up to 4 people can live in a two bedroom apartment, and up to 2 people can live in a one bedroom apartment. Also, there are income limits when applying. Potential new residents must make above a certain amount and under a certain amount to live here, due to the stipulations of a bond that was used to build the apartments. The staff are very good about accepting applicants of all ages, ethnicities, etc. You can also build your credit when you pay your rent on time with the different apps they offer for you to pay your rent. Applecreek was one of the best complexes I ever stayed at. I unfortunately had to transfer to a different city for work but if I get back to Omaha I will hopefully be back here. Kitchen was spacious, living room and dining room were the perfect layout for me. The fireplace was icing on the cake. Plenty of room in the bathroom and shower. The bedroom was large but the closet was pretty small. With the bedroom as large as it was, I just used some dressers to hold the extra clothes I had. Also, my apartment had a brand new washer and dryer that were extremely efficient. To top it off, my place came with a large balcony overlooking the center of the complex. Never had any issues with neighbors or noise. The staff treated me so well, I can't speak highly enough of them. They helped me immensely through my transition and were extremely patient! read more

Lived here for about 9 months. Love the private entrances, not having to share a giant hallway and smell what everyone else is doing is a blessing. Maintenance was awesome, worked quickly and had no problems with things not getting done. Leasing agents were very nice. Loved how pet-friendly (dog especially) the whole place was. It is a nice quiet area, nice people as neighbors, we have made friends with some. The grounds are nice and love how pet friendly it is. We chose this place because of the location. It's tucked back right off of a popular intersection. And the price, we couldn't beat that. When we've had a problem, maintenance is always available to fix the major problems first and then anything else, the very next day. My problem is that we have ants. I never thought that living on the second floor ants would be a problem but they are! Maintenance has come countless of times to spray our apartment but still they come back. My biggest problem with this apartment complex is how loud our neighbors are. They are loud in the early afternoon and then loud late at night. They smoke cigarettes on their balcony and drop them! We walk out the next day with cigarette buds scattered everywhere! They've even dropped meat bones out into the grassy area. My dog may appreciate it, but we don't! Honestly, it's a good apartment. Prices vary and some of the prices for the larger apartments are way too overpriced. If you're looking for a smaller one bedroom, this place is good. And it's even better if you have large dogs! read more

Shaleen (sorry for the butchered spelling) deserves a pay raise. Lovely lady who went to the nines and then some to get me approved and into an apartment ASAP. Called on a Friday 7-2-2021 and moved in today 7-3-2021. Shaleen got me approved with the best rate possible, and was upfront about possible charges that could occur due to a quick move in and how to mitigate/ get fully refunded if and when these charges occur. Shaleen is keen on details that go beyond the sale. She escorted me to the right building, called to ensure everything was going well with the move in, and informed me how to avoid the common mistakes when it comes to changing my postal address. This lady truly cares about her residents. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Only complaint I have is my ac quit on me while moving in. Will call during business hours and I hope to get shaleen. It is a Holliday weekend and I don't expect any sort of resolution or plan of resolution till Maintenance is back from Holliday probably Tuesday 7-6-2021. Will keep y'all updated. read more

I was looking for a studio apartment, at $738 for a 525 Sq Ft. apartment in an older bldg. no less. When asked about the advertised units, response was we don't have anything like that.Tack on the deposits, admin fees and pet fees.. I could have made 3 mortgage payments. There are no marked visitor spots nor limit on the number of vehicles allowed per unit, therefore I have to park several buildings away and then troop to my apartment. (Our building isn't even at full occupancy and yet still not enough) When I spoke to office about it, I was offered no solution, they just said "i hope it gets better". Also apartments are small and appliances are out of date for paying 800 a month. Pros : the single handed thing that sold me on this apartment was the indoor pool and hot tub. I love living here. Quiet, reasonably priced, and your own private entry (instead of sharing a stinky, smoky hallway entrance with a ton of other people), and a tiny patio space. Very dog-friendly, the premises are always kept clean & maintenance is always quick to respond to anything that needs to be taken care of. The ladies in the office are friendly & helpful. The laundry room is spacious & I've never had a problem with finding an open washer or dryer. No complaints at all! I'm writing this at 3am ! I've been living here 9 months. The reason i moved here it looked like a nice safe, quiet, clean place for my daughter and I. The ladies at the front seemed nice but there entire demeanor changed once we were in. The only good thing I can say about this place is I've got roof over my head but other than that NOTHING! I've complained time and time again about the noise. I have a child that needs to be in school, neighbors don't get it! Above me I have the loud bombing sounds what I think of CALL of DUTY would sound like. It's terrible we know its 4am, when we can hear the maintenance guy (who lives on the premises) his LOUD annoying smokers COUGH and he is outside! Next door I have a howling cat and two dogs! The walls are not insulated enough, I can hear my neighbors. The lady below me can hear all the ruckus above me. Security88 they have as "security" is a joke. The women at the front desk are bored to death or something, when ever I park out where they can see me, it must remind them of some random late fee or bullshit excuse to harass me about my dog, my teenage daughter swimming in the pool. The tired old woman Janice has gotten in my daughters face, yelling at her as to why she is swimming in the pool, but yet younger kids without the supervision of an adult get no reprimand. They have been trying really hard to get me to move out before my lease is up, I'm sure so I can lose my deposit and hit me up with extra charges. I'm the If you are a minority you are not welcome here that's for sure! I call it the way I see it. We lived here for 7 years. The biggest issue I have is that they lie, then stand behind that lie. They took our deposit. I tried calling multiple times to get my deposit and kept getting blown off. It took 3 months to find out I'm only getting $30 back. the apartment was left in perfect condition, but they are charging for 1 day. I was never told the 'proper' move out process and I was charged for the last day. I was told I had through the 1st. So I turned everything in on the 1st. Then it took 3 months and multiple attempts to find out they are charging me for that day. It's ridiculous. Living here was nice at first. After the first year, it became extremely difficult to find parking. They tried to hit us with two dog poo charges from areas of the facility we had never taken our dogs. God forbid your vehicle sits in one place for a couple days because then they throw a green sticker on it for the tow guys. It's nice, but just expect to get numerous additional fees throughout your time here. read more

I was charged $600 for pet poop fees from April (right after I put in my 30 days notice), was charged over $200 more for my last month there, and my dog wasn't even at the complex since February. After 13 years of happily renewed leases at Apple Creek, we are deeply saddened to have to leave the absolutely AMAZING staff here and our wonderful neighbors - we are so very attached! Thank you all for everything! We didn't have the luxury of seeing our apartment prior to moving here from another state in 2006, so Paula, Lynn, Cindy and Alicia took extra care to make sure we got the apartment that met our needs and wish list through a quick series of phone calls and online exchanges. The apartment was clean and beautiful, and we fell in love with it instantly. (Still love it!) We signed the first lease and just kept signing them year after year feeling there was no place we'd rather be. We hope whoever takes our place here will be as happy and feel as loved here as we have, and we've done our part to maintain its beauty throughout the years. Don and his phenomenal maintenance team, Ely and Dave and Jordan, keep the property and buildings functioning well and looking beautiful year-round. We've never heard any neighbor report anything but praise for the entire staff here. (That is quite an accomplishment!) A few things that make life here most enjoyable: 1) You just won't find sweeter, more competent people than the ones who work here! 2) The clubhouse, pool and hot tub are beautiful and especially cheery on a dreary winter day - and warm! 3) The drive into the community is charming day or night, so regardless of your work schedule you'll feel enchanted with the place every time you see it. 4) Don plows the snow off the lot super fast! AND though they'll do it for you, you can pitch in with your snow shovel to help clear the stairs - a fantastic workout in the fresh air! 5) Dogs and cats absolutely love it here and you'll love seeing the variety of them! 6) Maintenance issues have been extremely rare, but the super sweet office ladies, Shaylene and Janice get with Don, Eli or Dave and often within the hour the matter has been successfully resolved. 7) Great neighbors! read more

We lived here five years ago the apartments weren't very well taken care of and the ladies in the office are completely rude. My grandma now lives there and they are still rude do not ever rent out the clubhouse they will find ways to take your deposit and they treat you rudely. What appealed to me most about Apple Creek Apartments was that it is off of the beaten path, a small community of its own. Rent was increased without explanation and when I e-mailed the property managers asking for a reason why I was never replied too. Now being charged a $110 late fee for not paying an amount of rent that I never agreed too. They had always responded to me before about other issues but of course when it comes to money there is silence. On top of all this, I had to buy a garage because my car has been damaged multiple times while sitting in the parking lot, as well as people screaming racial slurs and fighting outside in the middle of the night on an almost daily basis with nothing being done. They will rent these apartments out to literally anyone. I will not be renewing my lease and look forward to being able to live somewhere else. Also after leaving this review on google they replied to my complaint by leaving a letter on my door threatening me. Wish I could give a worse rating then 1 star. read more

Apts are ok. Has indoor pool. However was told was cable ready from the person who got us into the apartment. Which it was not and mentioned this to the front office and management above the lady we spoke to added that it has cable hookups. Well that's not cable ready and you only get one option for internet or TV which is Cox Communication and they failed to notice it was not cable ready as well. Make sure if you go here to have all hookups checked before move in because it will be at least 72 hours before Cox can hook up the basics after setting up with them. The second bathrooms tub was covered in spiderwebs otherwise decent experience so far. read more

Absolutely WORST place to live! Take my advice and never sign a lease here. Not only do you have to beg to get maintenance to shovel or salt the stairs & sidewalks, but when you complain to the office they act like they could care less. They don't care if tenants could potentially hurt themselves by falling. So, you have to go out and buy salt, when the apartment should be taking care of it, and salt the stairs, sidewalks, and parking lot yourself. If you have a fire, through no fault of your own, they don't try to help you or be sympathetic to your horrific catastrophe. In my neighbors case, since the apartment complex didn't meet their insurance deductible, they tried to pin it on the tenant to pay for it (he had renters insurance) at a cost of $10k and gave him 30 days to pay for it or he'd be evicted. His renters insurance wouldn't pay for it either, because it wasn't his fault, but the apartment complex didn't care. This is how they treat their tenants. DON'T EVER LIVE THERE!!!!! If you do decide to live there, and you request maintenance to be in your apartment, make sure you are there with them!!!! Don't trust them alone in your place. Then tend to take things! Not to mention the outdated apartment buildings that they will never fix up. When you walk down the stairs you can notice that the length, width, and height of each stair doesn't match, so there is a potential for falling. And again, when you mention it to management, they don't care. I originally came from Four Seasons Apartment and when I called the office for a problem, it was dealt with right away. They cared about their tenants and their safety. Unless you are absolutely desperate, don't live here! You will regret it, I promise you! read more

I find myself not even sure where to start on this review, as the number of issues we had were ridiculous. First off, while some of the people that live there are nice people, there are way too many weirdos, criminals, and asses to outnumber the good ones. I saw the police outside of our building probably at least a dozen times over the 7 months we lived here and an ambulance probably about the same. Drunk neighbors during the middle of the day falling down and busting their face open, alleged drug dealer neighbors, fights in the upstairs apartment in the middle of the night... you name it. What did the management do about it? Not a damn thing. However, whenever one of our dogs would get upset during the day because someone made noise while we were gone we would get a noise complaint asking us to leave work and come home to quiet them down. As far as the quality of the apartments themselves... well they're just as bad. We moved in and did our checklist and noted that the carpet was literally threadbare in several places (we could see the tack strip and subfloor below) and that there were chips and scratches, etc. After we moved out, we get a bill in the mail for damaged and stained carpet. The pictures of the stains that they accused us of leaving were of the back of the carpet and the padding. So now we're expected to pull up the carpet and inspect it before taking possession of it? Not to mention the shower would constantly leak, they would "fix"it and it would break again within a week. Then they just stopped coming to fix it and said "oh geez I'm not sure what happened, just slipped through the cracks". Value wise... they're way too outdated and poorly kept for what they charge. I lived in Broadboor Hills and paid about $800 for a nice one bedroom apartment where they actually kept up the building. Here we paid $725 a month for an outdated, poorly kept apartment that lacked many of the amenities that we had at Broadmoor. The only reason that we lived here was because they were one of the few apartments that would accept our Dobermans while our house was being built. I could go on and on but I think you get the point. Unfortunately, after looking through previous reviews I found on Google, I wish I had taken note and steered clear of this place. It looks like many of the issues that we experienced have been going on for years. Whether it's the managements lack of professionalism, schemes to gouge tenants on their way out for replacing carpet, or the poorly maintained buildings, nothing has changed as far as I can tell. For those of you who have a choice, even if you're looking for a good value apartment complex... keep looking because this isn't it. read more

I have lived here for 11 months and will most likely be resigning my lease. My rent will be increased a bit but from what I have researched this is the best price around for what you will be getting. The pool is fabulous, they have a game room with darts and pool tables, a small workout room, dog park, patio with grills, open areas to play with kids. The staff has never disappointed me. They are super nice and work is always done within 2 days, most times the very next day depending on the job. Neighbors are friendly but I tend to keep to myself. The clubhouse is open until 9pm so the amenities are able to be used later in the evenings. They put on pumpkin decorating contests, bingo competitions...this is a VERY community focused apt complex and it has been such a happy, pleasureful 11 months. I have just moved in but I love this apartment complex. We moved in to a 2nd floor apartment and we did not have any trouble getting stuff in to the apartment. The staff all seems really friendly. They made sure to tell me to be thorough on the move in check list and that anything that was not on there could be subject to charges when we moved out. I think that is reasonable because they need to know what is there and what you cause. Once we finished the check list I took it in and they asked me what needed to be fixed and then maintenance was out the next day. They are super pet friendly. Yes, they do have a large pet deposit. But most places do and there pet rent is reasonable. The apartment are on the smaller side but there is so much storage. The closets are huge. I love the layout of the kitchen it has so much space for a small area. The clubhouse is awesome. There are so many things to do. And they love to see people come in and use it. It is very clean and well maintained. The pool is awesome and I could not say enough good things about the hot tub. read more

I'm very disappointed in the property management. My elderly mother looked at this property and having obvious mobility issues, was shown an apartment with the only close parking being up a flight of steps. She would have had to have parked a significant way away to avoid the steps she never could have negotiated. The apartment was also in a smoking building which she didn't notice at first. She agreed to take the apartment and gave a $200 deposit. I was out of town at the time and wasn't able to view the apartment myself until 6 days later. I immediately knew parking was an issue and we both noticed the strong smell of smoke immediately. When asked if she could just get her money back she was told no it was too late. She was told that she should have specifically asked for a non-smoking building. Never having been a smoker, it honestly didn't occur to her to ask. They did offer to show her a different apartment that only had 2 steps but still in a smoking building. After several attempts, she still did not get her deposit back. They agreed to let her walk away which was extremely gracious considering she had never signed a lease. So there is no mistake, that was sarcasm. I feel they took advantage of someone who could have used a little kindness and concern but there was none. Very disappointed. read more

Just moved into these apartments about 3 days ago and it has been absolutely amazing! The area is nice and relaxing while the apartments are nice and spacious especially the club house. Also, the staff tend to the needs of their tenants as soon as help is needed. I would highly recommend Apple Creek to anyone trying to find an apartment in the Omaha area. read more

We just moved in. Apartments are nice, a little small but not too cramped if you don't have too much stuff. It has longer office hours than my last apartment which is really nice. The people in the office have been extremely helpful and friendly. The clubhouse is really nice with an indoor pool. It's nice how close the mall and many other are. I absolutely love the club house! The pool is fantastic and they even have a place outside to lay in the sun! I'm glad to say I'm going to be swimming all year long here! The look of this place is very deceiving. The clubhouse staff seems nice when you're about to move in, but once you get settled into your apartment everything goes downhill from there. The office is very rude and belittling, especially if you are a minor. I have had a number of problems with my apartment since I've moved in. Just to name a few: garbage disposal broken, AC broken in the 100 degree weather, part of my heater had to be replaced, dishwasher broken, my bathtub fills up to the top every time I take a shower and I have used Drano multiple times, front door handle sticking and I got locked out of my apartment, top deadbolt lock does not work, carpet is lifting although it was claimed to be brand new, balcony basically hanging by a thread, the whole apartment complex is a dead zone and your phone will not work without wifi, all doors, hinges, and latches are painted over so my locks have been sticking up until my lease is about to be over, I could go on. They refused to show me my apartment until I signed the lease knowing I was in a situation where I needed somewhere to live. When I got into the apartment it was completely different than the model that they showed me. Everything is extremely outdated and my kitchen is the worst part. I'm also really glad that all my neighbors around me got brand new carpet and black appliances before they moved in, and I am stuck with the oldest stove and microwave to date. Maintenance refuses to do anything, like ever. I was once behind on rent for one month due to a financial crisis so I decided to speak with Lynn, the Assistant Manager, and she informed me that I could pay what I could when I could and told me she understood. Then, a few days later, I get a note on my door that says I owe them $1,480 in the next three days or I will be evicted. I called them again to talk to the manager, and she said unfortunately since I am behind there is nothing they can do and if I do not pay the amount I am evicted. By the grace of god I was able to get that exorbitant amount paid down. I paid everything on time in the month of November, and so I stop by the office to drop off my rent for December and they tell me I hadn't paid my utilities for last month. I told Janice in the office that I had a receipt and apparently it didn't matter if I had one or not. I went to my bank and got a copy made of the money order and took it there and all of the sudden they wanted to kiss my ass because they didn't put the checks in on time. THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY. I locked myself out of my apartment this week, and surprisingly it wasn't because of their shitty door handle basically falling off, it was because I forgot my keys. They claim to have "24 hour maintenance on sight" so I decided to call. This was on Saturday, nobody answered so I had to call a locksmith and pay them $40. I left a voicemail and it is now Monday at almost 5:00PM and still nobody has returned my call. Also make sure you get a garage which has a lease longer than your apartment lease so you will have to continue paying once you move out, and it is $55 extra for a 100 year old garage door that is not automatic to break and trap you inside, and then when you call maintenance they will tell you it's not an emergency. If not, people will hit your car and dent and scratch it and be able to get away with it. Do not live here!!!! I will not be renewing my lease! read more
