It doesn't need to however, as quite amazingy it's the only internet cafe in Glasgow and has saved my bacon on a couple of occasions, so it's best just to grit your teeth and put up with it. Though I've never been sat next to anyone browsing through hardcore porn, the guy next to me once was on a website called "British Spanking". He looked a bit like Manuel from Fawlty Towers as well which made it even funnier.

It isn't right to call it a "cafe" given that the only food or drink availible is from a slow vending machine. I have only really used the place for Internet access and not tried any of the other services on offer, though I don't expect they are much better. The prices - £2 an hour, £5 for an all day pass - are to be expected, but you would also expect at the very least computers that had working mouses and keys that weren't stuck down. Plus the seats are uncomfortable and the computer screens are very far forward - a health and safety disaster. But the very worst thing about this place is the sorts of people who you have to share company with. I've had them all sitting next to me - smelly jakeys, people bellowing down mobile phones, weirdos who talk to themselves, neds listening to very loud rave music through their headphones, you name it. Somebody at work even told me they had to share company with a person who happily surfed through hardcore pornography. I've only used this place because there isn't much of a choice if you urgently require internet access and there's nowhere else to go. Avoid like the plague.

Repair Teamknowhow unresponsive, unprofessional !!…read more Repair Ref- 698132 LG TV developed blue screen, Issue raised with customer service and issue was determined to be "out of warranty claim" . GBP 95 was taken from my account and was ensured that once TV is picked up , within 5 days i will get it back after repairs. Also that 95 quid will be refunded if the issue is a manufacturing one. Pickup done on 3rd July but delivery to repair center was only done on 13th July.( Took them 10days for within UK service). There has been no update on my TV ever since. Have tried calling several times and raised my complaint twice(on record!) Still have not received any update. They cant even tell me whats the issue with TV is or if at all it will be repaired or when !!! Thats gross competence. Being told there is no way to contact their repair dept and i will have to wait for email from them.. This has not happened even after almost a month after TV problem was reported. Customer care/repair resolution dept is a disgrace. I have been left without TV for a month in a house hold of 2 little kids..Wake up team Knowhow!! UPDATE 05/08/2021 Even after a week of sending them again my case details as requested, there's has been no progress. Getting standard emails that they have contacted their repair team to provide update with my complaints reference number CC4449883. How shameful that even within there own teams , there is no communication nor any accountability on anyone's part. I hope people higher up pay attention to my plight and be made aware of their organization's failure in this case. Has anyone else faced the same issues with team knowhow? They're especially good around Xmas as they always have some bizarre electronic toy that's just perfect for your 8-year-old nephew or the other geek in your life. Sometimes they don't have the item you want in store (as happened to me today), but they're more than happy to order it up for you and it will be delivered to your home at no extra charge. I do find them a bit overpowering sometimes as they always seem to have a surfeit of staff who hover around you asking if they can assist every couple of minutes, which wears thin very quickly with me, especially as this is the kind of shop I like to circumambulate several times whilst waiting for inspiration to strike if I've got a particular project in mind but I'm not sure what I need (which is most of the time when I'm in here!)

In terms of these requirements they have done some stuff in the past, that I will not discuss. Lets just say, I will not buy memory or processors from them. No bare chips. I would pick up graphics cards, hard drives, maybe even a motherboard. In this area they have been pretty useful. A last minute requirement will usually direct me here. Something I would usually get from a online supplier, I can often find a suitable substitute here. This is the bigger brother of its Argyle Street sibling. I usually find that they have more selection. Especially in the graphic cards arena. They are not an overclockers or modders paradise but they sometimes can surprise you with the stock that they do have. Finally, as I said about the other store - they usually have the best prices on optical media. Buy a spindle - save yourself a bundle.

It was super busy and full of mostly international students using email and the usual stuff. They didn't have the version of microsoft word I needed in order to do the tasks I had to do, so it was a waste of a journey for me and still had to pay £1 for 15 minutes even though I was there for approximately 3. The rates are reasonable but it is quite cramped inside with uncomfortable high chairs which are quite close to the person beside you which is awkward. Not as comfortable as a nice University library, which is what I'm used to.

So explained the fellow at Yeeha, anyway. On a Sunday afternoon I suddenly remembered I had to print out plane tickets for an insanely early Monday flight. So I was very grateful that Yeeha is open until 6pm on Sundays, an hour and a half later than the closest Staples. It doesn't look like much from the street, just a small sign that's easy to miss. Wear comfortable shoes for the two-storey climb upstairs. You may also wish to bring sanitary hand wipes; the keyboard I used was pretty grubby.

GAMER'S FIX So today…read moreis Him Indoors' birthday...he decided last night he wanted to have "a two-console household"...ooookaaaaay darling!! ;-) He's already got a PS4 and today I got him a Wii U in this Game store. The location is very handy, close to loads of transport and central!! As soon as we asked for assistance, a very friendly girl came over and helped us out. She immediately told us about a bundle deal, where basically you get the console (for the normal price it is everywhere...) and a wee accessories pack free...and there are cheaper games (premium and new titles) should you chose to buy them at that point. The accessory pack had a wee stylus (the Wii U game controller is a huge thing with a touch screen and buttons etc, so this is a great wee bonus for NO MONEY!!) a screen protector for the controller screen and a pouch to keep the controller safe when not in use...FABULOUS wee extra!! The staff member then showed us where the pre-owned games were, there was a good selection! Him Indoors had a rewards card, so she happily put the points on there for us and explained that the points don't register for 24 hours, again, helpful!! He spied another game he liked the look of so asked her to put it aside whilst we went to look for other bday pressie stuff elsewhere (we ended up not going elsewhere, but she had already set it aside for him, so it was available ready to go at the till.) I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for games/consoles/iPads etc...they have a great selection (of new and pre owned games and consoles!) and they take pre orders too for the next Big Thing!!

They have a huge range of video games on all the big consoles including X-Box, Wii and PS3 with different members of staff stating clear preferences for which one is their favourite. It's important to know this when you make big purchases because they will steer you away/towards particular products. They do good trade-ins and bundles and are always bang up to date with the latest releases. It's pretty big inside with plenty of room to move around and they always have playable demos of new releases which is always fun!

I even tried standing near some expensive stuff in the hope that someone would appear to try to sell me something but that didn't work either. Eventually I stumbled across the hard drives by accident but they were (in my opinion) overpriced. It all felt like a bit of a waste of time. If you want an iPad or a TV you won't struggle to find it, although I'd shop online first to make sure you don't pay over the odds, but if you want a smaller item or accessory you could be wandering around for a while.

That's not really PC World's fault though, and after the anger subsides this really is an excellent store for pretty much anything to do with computers. They also do games consoles and other techy treats such as digital photo frames and Blu-Ray players, so a trip in here for a memory stick can easily turn into an hour long trawl through an orgy of consumer electronics. I was pleasantly surprised by the staff as well. I came in to buy a router and expected the salesman to insist I need the most expensive one whilst demanding I take out a ten year warranty on it, but he actually recommended the cheapest option.
