The people I talked to who live there said they are so happy they moved: they were lonely at home and didn't realize how much they would like living here. There is assistance tailored to each person's needs, and you are charged accordingly: no "one size fits all." Overall I couldn't be happier with the location. My Mom will be moving next month and is interested to see who she knows from the old days (she grew up in this area but moved away 50 years ago.) The meal and tour were a great experience and I can't believe it's taken me so long to get this review done - highly recommend that you come in for a visit and speak with the management and care staff: this is not just a job for them, but a passion!

COVID-19 has really put the pressure on them, but they have weathered it wonderfully. One of the hardest things is to balance physical safety with mental health. They have worked out schemes that allow family to visit their residents while still keeping them as safe as is possible. The residents have significant power in how the facility operates. There are regular meetings between staff and the resident board (don't recall what the group is called). And the meals are delicious!

Often families bring unrealistic expectations of the amount of time care givers have to provide care, not recognizing that health care is a strained system. The staff here are caring and empathetic, and are tasked with doing an all too often thankless job that is a specialized level of care.
