I do regret not being able to zero stars this behemoth. Atrocious service. We bought an iPad in Apple, Florida Mall two weeks ago. We only got to turn it on last Friday. It kept turning itself off and despite being fully powered up it said it was out of power. Simply it's clear it's not fit for purpose. We rolled up to Apple Belfast with a piece of crap not fit for purpose to be asked if we had made an appointment to see a technician. So my question was, are you having a laugh? If I went into any other business having bought something not fit for purpose we would get an apology and an immediate replacement but not Apple. Their approach was to make an appointment for us. Fortunately it was 30 minutes hence. It was 11:30am and I determined I'd give it an hour and leave to leave it to the credit card company to refund us. They sell us a piece of broken crap and keep us waiting to suit their procedures. Now there's a common expression in these parts 'arsin about'. This store had 3 or 4 staff just arsin about. Any one of them could simply have replaced the broken pad. At about noon we got a text to say our appointment was imminent but 20 more minutes would pass to get attention from Vivienne - a charmer who remained charming when I put to him that this was not a technical issue, rather it was simply a replacement and I had no intention of accepting a repair. He briefly ran a few tests and replaced the broken iPad which could have and should have been done within 5 minutes of our going in the door. Not wasting over an hour of our time. It's not disabled friendly either as the only seats are high rise stools. read more

I purchased iPhone 14 pro in October the phone has failed twice once replaced and then repaired, went to collect the phone today and advised the staff member I needed to see it working before I left the store, I was encouraged to use iCloud download and the staff member would see me in 15 minutes, he never returned and 45 minutes later I complained and another staff member had to restart the whole process again. Their attitude is unhelpful, they have a highly inflated view of themselves and their processes are not at all customer focussed. I was there for 1 hour 40 minutes, back to John Lewis I think. Apple need to carryout an audit on this store to get it back to an acceptable standard. I am very disappointed again with the iPhone 14 pro and the store. read more

This store excites me every time I go into it and walk by. In recent years I cannot deny that I have completely bought into Apple and the branding and so on. I am not as crazy or geeky as other people but I could still hold my own in an Apple off!!! It was such a treat to have an apple store based in Belfast. Not only for the privilege of having a store close by for browsing. But more for the logistical reasons of having help close by repairs and tech support. They have a great customer service service which allows you to book an online appointment with a member of staff to discuss your problems or to carry out repairs. They also have group and one to one classes and presentations orientating customers to products and software. Apple really are becoming an ultimate mobile electronics company and so much more. read more

Having gone out with an Apple geek in the past I have heard enough about Apple to do me a lifetime. I have since banished this boy, but I did quite well for myself having acquired various expensive Apple products like laptops, iPods and headphones for my 4 years of services rendered! Result! Most recently a computer, the aforementioned ex bought for my parents broke and I had to go about getting it fixed in the Apple Store in Victoria Square. Although you have to wait a lifetime on the phone to get through to the technical staff, once you do they are really helpful. They are really efficient and even offered to wipe the hard-drive for free, which was really cool of them. Unfortunately that didn't work but they are reinstalling a new hard drive for £170, which is pretty reasonable I think. The guy, Ross, was really cool and friendly and explained me what was up with the computer through analogies about record players! It worked though! I'd recommend asking for him for any technical queries. The store itself is pretty cool, clean, slick and white and a bit clinical. I'm not really into gadgets and would only come in here out of necessity. I have to get a new iPod soon after a housemate drowned mine in a pool of water (iPods can't swim!!) and know I will be looked after by staff. read more

The Apple franchise is even taking over the little cities now, stretching all the way over to our wee country to claw at us with their expensive gadgets, fancy expensive laptops, really good expensive ipods, the new 'i-want-one-now' expensive iphones... It was inevitable as Apple grew that eventually something like this would happen but thankfully we were prepared and rather than storm the store demanding everything and a loyality card, complete with a picture of Bill Gates falling over, we just called in to see what it was like and then called out again. The Apple store is a pretty special place. Having never been in one before, it is the closet thing to actually owning the gadgets without actually ever spending the money. The layout is designed to get you to go in and play with the stuff before someone with a beard comes over and tells you for just how much you could play with this forever... or until it inevitably breaks, as does your heart and your bank balance. The staff cannot be faulted. Though they are drilled to sound like factual robots, they do seem to take pride in their job, and if you want to buy something quite often you will be told everything about the product before you pay... some people might think they want to know everything about it but really, if you want to stand with your credit card out for 15 minutes feigning interest then be my guest. My friend forgot his charger in the wee laptop area upstairs where you can go and update computers and play games or something. The member of staff kept it over for him and put it in a little Apple store bag for me which I paraded around town until I saw my beloved cut-price Primark and I felt like I had cheated on her discounted tshirts with those coporate fruits. The Apple store is the only place I would go to if I was looking for an Apple product. Argos and phone shops wouldn't make me feel confident handing over my millions for a little phone that also comes with a spirit level. Despite marginally robotic staff, the shop is excellently stocked and you are well taken care of. read more

I find the Apple Store a bit hit or miss. Sometimes it's so crazy busy it's difficult to find a staff member free to assist with a query. It's also a pain to have to wait a week or two when trying to book an appointment with one of their Genius Bar experts. However, when you do get attention, overall Apple offer second to none quality and service. Unfortunately it's often difficult to get assistance as the staff are so busy. Having been an Apple consumer for about 6 years now I can hardly believe that I haven't reviewed the Apple Store in Victoria Square!? Over the last 6 years I have had various problems with my Apple products, from stuck keys on my old MacBook to a smashed screen on my iPhone but my first port of call is always the Apple Store. Strangely I haven't actually ever bought anything from this store, my visits are usually Genius Bar related. Every time I have been in the staff have been helpful and if they haven't been able to fix my problem or repair my device they have given me good advice. There's usually a long queue to get seen by one of the Apple experts but there's a handy online booking system that allows you to get a time slot to sit down and chat with a staff member. This is one store in Victoria Square that is always busy - you never walk past and see staff member chatting - you usually see blue human shaped blurs rushing about the store. Whether you're a fan of Apple products or not you can't fault their staff who in my opinion are excellently trained and always up for a chat about your product. read more

My first time actually needing support from the Apple store for something, and the experience was not as polished as the products that adorn the table tops and shelves of the beautifully designed store. My phone of 22 months suddenly stopped charging a few day ago and gradually the charge ran out, letting the phone slip peacefully to the next world - Private service, no flowers please. The first problem was that like many I rely way too much on my phone for everything and the only appointments that could be book at a time I could attend were a week away. The only option was to try to get a walk in appointment. This is where you go in and join a long (very long) queue, here they take your number and text you anything from 1-4 hours later to tell you to come back to the store as someone will be ready to see you. Can you see the problem yet? My wife came with me so we had to give her number so that we could be contacted and come back. The messaging service was not working perfectly the day I was in and I got a strange and confusing message that made it look like I was due to return and be seen. However on returning, it was a false alarm, so I had to leave and return again later. So finally 1hr45mins later I was called back. Another 15 mins and the technician was ready to see me. The staff were very pleasant and there are worse places to be stuck waiting. The technician was very polite, friendly and I felt very thorough in looking into the problem, but none the less, was not able to fix my phone. There were sympathetic and helped me through checking iCloud and other aspects to try to ensure that I lost the least amount of data possible. The store and staff are absolutely 5* all round, but the in store systems and resource priority that Apple has given to customer support really lets the experience down and makes it far less slick and user friendly than what I've come to expect from Apple. read more

Dublin really needs a dedicated Apple store like this one, and not just licensed resellers. The Apple team at Victoria Square are awesome. They deal with throngs of people from the moment the doors open in the morning but are always attentive, friendly and never make you feel like a halfwit by asking simple questions. I bought a Mac Book Pro there a year ago. The girl who looked after me was incredible. Much more of a product advisor than a sales person. In total it took about 1.5 hours to build the Mac I wanted to spec. I was changing over from PC to Mac so she gave me heaps of quick tips and training. Ultimately, her personality and ability to make me feel at ease closed the deal, and I also spent more than anticipated as I signed up to their 'One to One' tutorial programme, bought accessories and software there and then. And also an iPhone the next day. I still visit everytime I'm in Belfast. It's one of the things I look forward to most about a trip North. read more

Came here very recently for the iPhone 5 launch. Queued up for a very long time in the freezing cold to be one of the first people to get it. The store itself we didn't get to explore so much but they seemed to do a pretty great job with the space given to them, definitely not the biggest Apple store I've ever been to. Staff were very friendly too, we had at least three different staff members come up and ask where we came from, how long we were standing in line for and make just very general conversation. They all ran out to the queue, cheering and hi-fiving everybody at the 8am opening time, but to be honest, about 90 percent of the people were either too tired, too hungry or to cold to be a upbeat and cheery as the staff. The whole experience is one to remember but don't think I could ever do it again. It barely scrapes the four start from me to be honest. It's difficult to get the proper Apple experience in a non american store. There's just something about it. read more

It is what it is. Overpriced lust. Apple is lost on me to a large extent, and I'll explain why. The iPhone, certainly far from the best smart phone available yet people will pay in excess of £40 a month for the privilege. The new one for example is plagued with software issues, serious concerns over call dropping and has a slower processor than many of it's smarter rivals. The iMac laptops on offer in this post modern, minimalistically decadent store begin at well over £1000 for a proper one (not counting the under powered white cheap plastic model). For say £1300 you get a laptop with reasonable computing power, able to run most programs without problems or fuss. For £1300 in the world of PCs you could build a machine which would make NASA proud. Ok, in the long run they may be more stable (they do crash, I've seen them do it) and they are fantastic pieces of engineering, but, they have no personality, you can't add or customize or take-away, your mac... is someone else mac. The price, excessive beyond excessive. The software limitations are endless (although the large desktop macs are superb for page and graphic design). Anyway, that was my rant over. The iPad doesn't require any argument against because it's so self-explanatory that I won't waste your time. The store tempts the weak minded to part with huge sums of cash, they should know better. read more

The oddest thing has just happened, I'm actually still left puzzled over the whole situation. Basically, I contacted the Apple Store based in Belfast, just to inquire about the previous Iphone launch dates (I know the new phone is not out yet) I was mainly interested to know if the store previously had the new iphone's on launch day in September when it appears online, or if it was on another date. My phone is on the blink at the moment, I'm from Co.Tipperary and had planed on going to the city late in September for a holiday. So long story short, I got speaking to some guy in the store over the phone, that clearly was having the Monday blues. He refused blankly to let me finish what I was trying to say (was it my accent) instead he basically said "I don't know who you are or where your coming from!! I'm ending this conversation" I'm sorry but why is it important to know where a paying customer is coming from???? if you do not know the question just simple say "Sorry, I do not know" Finally, is this normal behavior or did I just get speaking to some new guy? Great city centre store on two floors. Downstairs focus' on retail with lots of staff on hand to help when viewing products. Lots of apple products in a very slick setting. The staff are always really helpful even if just popping in with queries with your own apple products. Upstairs is mainly repair queries and more products like apple watches and speakers. I believe are a great product, maybe overpriced but the aftercare from the store is excellent. read more

I wanted to review the Apple store for the merit of the store itself, and not as an in depth analysis of their product which varies from the excellent to the pointless and overpriced! The store is modern and spacious, with large areas devoted to each product ranging from the latest iPod incarnation to their computers. Nerds may mock the genius bar, but not everyone in the world is up to date with every single aspect of every apple product, so the guys and girls at this stand provide good help to beginners interested in apple products. The staff here are great, as they really know their stuff and are only too willing to help you out with anything you need ranging from finding accessories to organising a repair, which I have done through the store ( despite the fact I bought on Amazon for lower prices!) Unfortunately this is why I feel the store is a tad redundant- I can get the same products with the same warranties anywhere else. I can also organise online repairs in this store so I can get my Apple goodness elsewhere and circumnavigate having to buy anything from here! I love the iPod, but I have not much time for anything else apple as my HTC Desire is far better than the iPhone 4 in everything but appearance, the iPad is an overglorified touch and Apple laptops are disgustingly overpriced: you can get a truly top of the range laptop elsewhere before you get the most basic MacBook! read more

Very pleased with my recent visit. I had an iPhone 6 with a broken screen which was repaired while I waited and didn't cost as much as I thought it might, £70 is fairly reasonable as I'd been quoted more by 'unofficial vendors' The place was absolutely packed and very busy but it was friendly and efficient and got the job done with no messing around. this is an email i have just sent to apple belfast..i am disgusted with their service To whom it may concern.. We are very loyal apple customers having 4 ipads, 2 iphone 5's and 3 iphones in the house. I will be looking for alternative products when renewing after the customer support my 16 year old has received regarding a fault with her iphone 4... Two months ago she made her way to the nearest apple store 120 miles round journey with her faulty iphone. A refurbished ...not working iphone was given to her....As she is at school and works part time the earliest she could get back meant her one month warranty was now slightly out of date....bearing in mind the phone never worked, it is not acceptable that she had to pay £119 to get another....non working refurbished iphone.... In the shop it had one bar by the time she walked to the train 2 minutes away it said invalid simm and simm failure...the exact same thing it said on the first refurbished phone she got.... A day was taken off work and a whole day wasted to pay £119 for another non working phone. I hope you understand my frustration and that her money will be refunded and she can get a working phone. I was here just casually browsing the new apple watches and iMacs, when a store representative came up to me and presented me with the usual question, "do you need any help" to which I was about to give me usual reply of, "no, I'm fine" but then I remembered, there was actually something I needed to know, I asked him something like, "Can I install OS X from the mac bios as I need to replcae the hard drive on my mac mini" Being right beside the iMacs his natural reaction was to instantly 'google' "Install OS X" which brought open an apple developers page. I'm not an apple developer and I don't have another mac to download OS X from, this guy clearly had no idea what he was doing. After this he just sort of looked the other was and must of pretended to recieve some sort of transmission from his microphone, I thought this was due to my request and without saying anything he went over to another store representative. I thought he was trying to get an answer to my request as he talked to this other person. I waited by the iMacs for about 10 minutes, looked like the my apple representative was just having 'the bant' with someone else, I suspect he didn't really get any transmission from his earpiece thing, but really just wanted to get away from me as he didn't know the answer. Long story short, if you want to get rid of an apple representative, just ask them a question that isn't the inedible answer of, "oh, you need to restore it" read more

Customer service shocking, my mum waited 1 week on an appointment and her phone was not fixable so she paid for a replacement only to get home and it's faulty, they have told her she has to wait another week for an appointment even though they face her a faulty phone disgraceful. read more

First off this review is just about the store not Apple products, company, or policy. A Dead Beat Parent I have had many a phone over the years and some of them developed a problem or two, quick trip to repair shop and all fixed, so when the recent iOS 9 update left my phone shutting off early I thought I'd use as excuse to go visit Apple. First impressions of the building are, "wow, nice" the large glass windows lets in a lot of natural light, the spacious ground floor giving a nice airy feel and the lighting and materials make the place one of the more impressive shops I've visited. After taking all this in I had a look around making my way to the back glass staircase and when up stair to my appointment (needed for some reason), first think I notice upstairs, lots of people waiting, so I went over to the queue for the 1 employee in charge of an iPad and taking names, I thought probably be waiting few minutes as I was 5 minutes early for my appointment. I'm glad they offer free WiFi because after about 15 - 20 minutes I finally got to the guy, he asked my name, I gave it and he tried to find it, I decided to be nice and point it out for him, he thanked me and said we've got no chairs left but please wait. Another 20 min's go past and a "Genius"*1 comes up and asks me my name and brings me to a table, I explain my problem to him and he takes my phone and goes off, more time to test the WiFi, 15 min's later he comes back and says that there's a stamp inside my phone and a QR code when there shouldn't be so they going to "refuse to help with fixing the phone and that my only choice is a third party repair shop." I explain I've had phone since new *2 and that's impossible, he says it doesn't matter he is happy to say it's not true and good bye but as a favor he'll test the battery. He tests battery and says it's fine so its probably the board but he won't help. After traveling across the boarder this left me deflated, annoyed, with a lighter wallet and a still broken phone, so being a "techy" I did what I'd normally do and go to my normal guy *3, he says he seen this tons before and he can "fix it in 5, problems the battery", I tell him what Apple said he laughs and said watch, he lifts screen up removes bracket and plugs a separate battery in, phone pops back to life and sits there happy for 15 minutes. I admit defeat. He swaps battery and the phone is perfect again. TL:DR Store: impressive, nice and spacious 9/10 Sales staff: always ready to sell you things you don't want/need 6/10 "Geniuses": too quick to shirk company responsibility, don't know/untrained to find a fault *4 unhelpful and very short with you 0/10 Will not bother visiting again as soon as they could they dropped responsibility and got rid of me much like a dead beat parent 1/10 (Only get 1 point as I got to see Belfast on my trip) * 1. Genius is a title given not earned 2. My phone was bought new 2 months after release 3. Guy is a local slang for someone who good at something eg phone guy, computer guy 4. Can you say "drool"? The Apple store stocks every single Apple product on the face of the earth (as you would expect). And for a drooling fangirl/geek like me, this makes it Utopia. But what makes it even better is that the staff are all Mac Geeks too who know everything there is to know about Apple fans and will do their best to give whatever discounts they can so that you can "evangelize" your purchase to your friends. It's clearly all part of Steve Jobs evil plan to take over the world. He certainly knows the way to my heart anyways. read more

Clean, crisp and fashionable. You really know what your are getting with Apple. The gadgets and merchandise on offer is top of the range and everyone wants one, but as a shopping experience is it any good? I would say that the Belfast shop has some of the best staff and helpers in town. They're professional and helpful, never intimidating and make you feel like its ok to not know what you're doing. I had to go in to get a bit of help with my Ipod and the member of staff who dealt with me was friendly, helpful, polite and really knew what he was talking about. The guy's name was Conor and I would certainly recommend that most people ask for him when they call in. Top stuff, if you have the cash I would go here rather than buy online due to the brilliant customer service that you get in here. read more

However, I'm writing this review to say how I impressed I was with Marianna (from Greece) who works in the store. She is competent and SUPER friendly. She sorted out my MacBook Pro problem very swiftly. I also noticed how friendly and helpful she was to some elderly folk in the store. :) read more

i cannot tell you how rude one of the staff was in this shop, the young man behaved like he'd invented all of the apple products, the level of disdain he displayed at simple questions i asked him about ipad accessories was breathtaking, for a moment i actually thought i was on a hidden camera show. we pay handsomely for apple products, because theyre generally good quality, and 99% of the time staff in apple stores are enthusiastic and happy to offer assistance, this young man needs to go back to the factory, for a complete reboot. very very poor read more

Found the staff member dealing with me very unhelpful and uniterested in helping me solve the issues i was having with my phone. I have had previous problems with the handset and upon returning to store for a second time, i still left the shop problem unresolved. A phone that hasn't not worked properly from the day i got it and have been quoted £199 to replace the handset. Why should i have to pay for a replacement phone when the one i have has never worked?! Have been left feeling mugged off and very annoyed. If the problem lies with apple.. Apple should be the ones replacing their non-working products not their loyal customers!!! read more

My husband and I were on vacation in Ireland during the month of May 2015. We spoke with our cell phone provider prior to the trip and were told that by paying extra we would have service in Europe including Ireland. Upon arrival in Ireland our brand new I Phone was not working. We visited the Genius Bar at the Apple Store and spent over an hour with a very helpful staff member - Gemma Clarke. We were quite exasperated but she was both professional and knowledgeable and after determining there was no problem with the cell phone assist us with our call to Sprint Help Desk. The problem was ultimately with Sprint and not the I phone. Gemma listened patiently, offered appropriate and timely suggestions. She also called over another staff member who was an in-house expert on cell phone problems. Both of them made every effort to trouble shoot our problem and never once did we feel that we were taking up their time. I would highly recommend the Genius Bar at this Apple Store and kudos to such an excellent work staff!!! read more

apple has lost me as a customer,let me explain.I bought two replacment 3gs phones from apple store six weeks apart the first needed replaced as it wasnt holding charge so replacment bought at £129 app march 2012.Six weeks later son no 2s phone got water damage and was replaced with new from belfast store also at cost of £129.The first phone closed down in dec 2012 took it back to store and was informed that i could not be fixed (the phone was as new no damage just software issues)i was offered replacment at £129 i declined offer as i thought that apple should be able to deal with software issues without replacing phone.Then suprise suprise son no 2s replacment phone (9 months old) devloped the same fault when i contacted store i was told that a phone was like a car or anyother item was only built to last a certan time after which i was not viable to fix.I was an apple beliver with imac bought two years ago which to be fair has worked flawlessly but this has made me rethink future purchase's from apple read more
