We used Apple Street Kitchen for my son and future daughter-in-law's wedding shower and it was PERFECT! Allison, the catering manager, was great to work with, the server, Dee, was awesome, and the food was delicious! To start, Allison was very accommodating and easy to work with. When I told her someone had allergy to cashews and pistachios, she made sure all nuts were put on the side. She was also able to easily accommodate the GF people at the party. Having Dee come with the food was the best idea though, as she was the top notch! She was very professional and unobtrusive. Whenever I tried to do anything, she insisted that she do it instead and needed little guidance. She worked hard the whole time, yet also knew how to stay out of the way. It was mid-afternoon, so we just ordered some platters, all of which were delectable! We ordered the mediterranean platter, which was gone by the time I got there, so it must have been popular! We also ordered the black bean and corn salad, the watermelon jicama salad, shrimp cocktail, and a charcuterie tray. Everything was well-presented and perfect for the event! I recently was given a surprise birthday party at Apple Street on a Saturday night, it was fantastic. The venue is ideal for a small to medium size event and everything about the evening was done to perfection. The waitstaff was wonderful, two lovely women who went above and beyond to make the night very special. The food was exceptional, from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the amazing birthday cake, everything was perfectly prepared and incredibly delicious. Kudos to the chef for an amazing job and to Tara, one of the waitstaff who also is a pastry chef, the desserts were excellent. Thank you so much Apple Street for helping to make a very memorable evening more than I could have ever dreamed of, you are truly a hidden gem. read more

First time going since new ownership, someone brought me their baked goods so I had to finally try it! We started with hummus which was great, fresh veggies were perfect with it. For my entree I had a special swordfish Sandwich, it was good but the fish was a tad dry. I took home some cookies and rhubarb hand pies to have later. My wife and I are so glad that we went with Apple Street for our small backyard wedding. The bottom line here - the food was amazing. We live in NY and when we were planning our wedding on the shore we were a little worried that our catering was just going to be the standard Italian catering you can find pretty easily around here. Instead we were hoping for seasonal produce, healthy but delicious. Apple Street far exceeded anything we could've asked for. Everything that was served was super fresh but also tasted amazing. We got goat cheese gougeres, buffalo chicken meatballs, kale caesar salad, watermelon jicama salad, grilled chicken, salmon with apricot salsa, seasonal veggies and a summer pasta. Just to be clear, every single dish was delicious, but I want to note some standouts. For appetizers everyone kept talking about the buffalo chicken meatballs. They were so delicious, being the groom I had like 6. The kale caesar salad had these amazing roasted tomatoes and parm crisps and the watermelon jicama salad was super refreshing. Finally the salmon with apricot was so delicious! Given we did family style and we had so much food I figured the salmon might be a little overdone but it was cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth and the apricot salsa was unreal. OK finally a note about the staff. The staff was professional, incredibly accommodating and super friendly. We had 1 chef, 2 servers and Sara as our maitre d. I should note, 4 weeks before our event we decided to double our wedding size (this year has been tough) and Apple Street was incredibly accommodating. Sara worked with us to make sure that our ceremony set up got switched to the reception which included rearranging furniture, setting up the tables and adding additional decor. When we got back to the reception area we were blown away with how amazing everything looked. Despite the fact that my wife and I were all over the place that day (it was our wedding after all) and Sara and us had only talked over the phone, Sara and her team were able to help us pull together an amazing event. So disappointed. I ordered dinner for 12 where I had 2 entree size portion. Each entree said for 10-12. I thought I had more than enough. The crab cakes were tiny app size and definitely was not enough for a dinner size portion . The hors d 'ourves. Were also so skimpy , overall I simply did not have enough food and considering I spent 600 .00 I was so disappointed. When I brought to their attention. Amazing spot!! Servers are always nice and ready to answer any questions. Tons of options for vegetarians, like myself, which is difficult to find sometimes. On top of that, everything is FRESH and delicious and HEALTHY! I can't say enough good things. Not happy with the catering. Order a Gemelle pasta salad $65.00. One of the ingredients in it is tomatoes. Mine had no tomatoes. Called to complain And was told that's not one of the important ingredients. I have never heard such a thing, it the first ingredient listed on the menu under the salad and it's one of my favorite things. Would have liked a little something back since it was not made correctly, but nothing. Will never order from there again. read more

I have been to your restaurant a few times. The location has many happy memories for me because I was a Mumfords regular. What a disappointment my experience was yesterday! I suggested a friend and I have lunch there instead of other choices we had nearby. I ordered a salad with lettuce. The lettuce had grit on it. We have all had that experience at home when our lettuce just doesn't get clean. I sent the salad back with compliments on all the other salad items. they gave me another one with way more gritty lettuce I couldn't eat. When she came to clear our plates and drop off check there was no acknowledgment of the lettuce I left on my plate. 53 dollars later plus a 20% tip for two salads and ice tea we left. There was no adjustment on our bill. When I got to the car I called the manager. I expressed my disappointment that there was no adjustment on our bill and I literally had to ask for an apology which she gave. When I told her that I wasn't satisfied and I would just take my concerns to Yelp, she said "now, there is no need for you to do that". Um, why not? If you stand behind your food and your standards of service you shouldn't be concerned about a little old Yelp review. The revamped Mumfords, which was the hidden game in the area. Recently sold to another local restaurant owner in the area, who also has a good track record. Food is good. Has a more limited menu than the previous spot, but there are some really great menu items. The 33 is a fantastic breakfast sandwich. Lunch is usually really good. Lots of vegetarian options (if you like that sort of thing). I've had their fish sandwiches often, and they are quite delicious. Last week was blackened swordfish. Specials are rotated out pretty often. I like this place, a fair amount. There is something keeping me from loving it. I think part of it is pricing, everything feels like a $1 or $2 more than I would expect. I'm sure much of this has to do with the local food sourcing. It's definitely worth checking out on your own. This was my first visit since it switched over from Mumford's. I use to go to Mumford's every couple of weeks and loved it. I was happy it was being kept opened. The new menu still had a lot of good options but I was surprised when my omelette was cold and had unmelted cheese inside. They no longer include breakfast potatoes with the omelette but you get one slice of toast along with a slice of pear, apple and half of a fig. If you are a coffee person, you will get one cup of coffee served from a french press for $3.75. Surprisingly, the Lipton tea bag was $3.00. The day we went there were not many pastries available - only a few cookies. We usually take home a couple of slices of coconut cake but there was none available the day we went. read more

I loved Mumfords, and Casey from D'Jeet was the perfect person to take it over. Much like D'Jeet, the menu is on the smaller side, but there are some really great options and plenty of specials to choose from! The staff was super friendly and the food was phenomenal. I ordered the smoked salmon tartine and have been daydreaming about it ever since. Probably one of the best lunches I've ever had!! I see a lot of reviews saying it's expensive, and while it is on the pricier side, it's worth it. You're getting fresh, high quality local ingredients which is something I'll gladly pay extra for! It used to be Mumford, so I was surprised to see management changed. In the restaurant business, I could relate the problem with continuing a legacy. Ordered a typical American fare, hamburger. Dressing was good but why is it dead? French press coffee was excellent, but the 2nd cup cost me yet another $3.50, or $7 for 2 big cups. Yike! DW was happy with her panini, well toasted and pressed; salad was good. She only had hot water. Considering lunch for 2 rang up at $42 (including tips), it was kind of expensive, matching Manhattan prices. So just make sure that you do not order a 2nd cup (organic tea would have been $4). Not impressed. I ordered pasta which was served luke warm. My friends had salads and soup and they said theirs was okay. The pasta was more than 20.00 and not a big portion. No rave reviews given from our table of four. I liked Mumford's a lot better as they had more selections and more bakery items etc. The one saving grace was that the wait staff was nice and there was no wait. We were seated right away as we had an appointment afterwards. They are too over priced for lunch and need a better menu and more dessert selections etc Unfortunately this place can't compare to Mumford's which I really miss. I don't think I will go back but I may try it again in the spring to see if the food quality is better and if they have a better menu selection etc. read more

I was super excited to give Apple Street Kitchen a try. The menu looks awesome and the farm-to-table vibe is just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I will not be giving this place another try. The customer service is awful, and they could not even execute a basic pick-up order by telephone. I placed an order for a breakfast sandwich, and a side of potatoes. They told me 15 mins it will be ready. I arrived after 20 mins, and they said, "Your order is not yet finished." They charged me and told me that someone would bring me my order up front. After waiting 10 mins, I asked if my order was ready. The girl who took my order and charged me, said, "Not yet. Be patient and it will be right out. I waited another 15 mins (45 mins after my order was placed). The girl seemed annoyed that I asked again. I mean, how long does it take to make an egg sandwich?? Finally, the manager, approached me and noticed I was annoyed. She went into the kitchen and said, the cook never got your ticket!!! This pissed me off. What type of POS system do they have in this place?? I asked for my refund. The manager was semi-apologetic. She could have offered me something for my troubles or a deeper apology, but I guess this is how they operate. The girl who took my order never apologized or went above and beyond to check the status of my order. I wasted 45 mins of my time, and the food was never made. I'm extremely disappointed read more
