We feel incredibly fortunate to have had our daughter attend Apple Tree for a short but very impactful six months before we moved out of San Francisco. Our little one has absolutely thrived since entering Apple Tree six months ago at age 10 months. Just two months in, she started speaking her first Mandarin words: "xǐ xǐ" = wash hands. Thanks to Apple Tree's weekly music class with Jamaroo, our daughter developed a great love for music. It's become a nightly ritual where we take her song requests and have a little dance party while striking tunes on her xylophone. I have nothing but good things to say about Apple Tree! As a new mom, I was really nervous about finding the right childcare for my daughter. We were lucky enough to hear about Apple Tree from close friends and they had nothing but good things to say which put our minds at ease. The fact that it was Mandarin immersion was icing on the cake. My daughter started here when she was 4 months old and attended until she was 13 months old. The only reason we left was because we decided to move out of state. She loved her teachers and we were truly sad to leave but her time at Apple Tree helped her easily transition to a new school. I never worried about my daughter when she was at Apple Tree. It was clear how much Jasmine, the owner, and all the teachers care about all the children there. There was also always open communication and we never worried about our daughter while she was there. The facility is very clean and spacious. Both our babies went to AppleTree and we really loved Jasmine and the staff. The staff are very nurturing and bonded with our kids and our babies were always happy during drops offs. They are also very organized and the daycare is clean. They provide great care and allowed children to learn so many skills like prepping food together, washing hands, throwing trash in garbage and wiping up spills. My son started there at 1 year old and by the time he's 2 years he has really learned a lot even certain phrases in Mandarin:) and he sings songs he learned there Apple Tree is a great daycare. My son has been going to Apple Tree since he was six months old. From the very first day it was clear just how important creating a fun, educational, and safe environment is to Jasmine and all the teachers at Apple Tree. Every day I see kids excitedly running up to the door to ring the bell eager to start their day. My son, who is now 18 months old, is one of them. Apple Tree also utilizes a user-friendly app platform that lets you check-in and out, see photos of your child engaged in all sorts of fun activities from the week, and set up emergency contacts. One of the fantastic things about Apple Tree is that they offer an optional Saturday class once per month so that parents/guardians can have a weekend-day to catch up on sleep, chores, or hobbies. Jasmine and her teachers at Apple Tree are passionate about children. When my son attended this daycare, the teachers always noticed every scrape and bruise. As other parents have mentioned, Apple Tree is sparkling clean and children avoid the dreaded diaper rash there. I was also impressed with how detail oriented teachers were about my child's habits, advising me (first time mother) on what to watch out for. Our son has been going to Apple Tree since he was 6 months old. It was clear from day one how much he loves going there because he would smile and squeak happily whenever he left home for daycare. My daughter has been going to Apple Tree for 1.5 years. My husband and I feel so lucky we found Apple Tree. We evaluated a dozen daycares when we first started looking. After talking to Jasmine we knew Apple Tree would be the right place for her. My daughter is usually pretty shy but when she sees her teachers in the morning she always has a smile on her face and cannot wait to go in to join her friends. When she's home she's constantly talking about them as well. Besides their weekly activities (this week they are learning about colors), they also celebrate major festivals such as lunar near year and Halloween when the children would dress up and learn about the festivals. Both of my sons (now 4 and 6) went to Apple Tree, starting at 8 months, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. All of us were so relaxed with Jasmine and her amazing teachers! Jasmine inspires so much confidence because our sons were always so eager to to into school and so happy coming out the door. Our children clearly showed that they were treated with love and developed friendships that we still maintain. Jasmine connects with every child and talks personally with parents at pick up and drop off as well as sending lots of cute pictures over the app of the fun things going on. It was also so helpful that the school provides fresh, healthy food (that the kids can see and even help make sometimes), a huge help to parents trying to get out the door every morning. Our sons moved on to a Mandarin immersion preschool because Apple Tree hadn't opened its preschool yet. It has opened since, and my younger son is able to return for school breaks, and has an absolutely wonderful time at their brand new location. On his last visit he helped make sushi and was bubbling over with stories of the friends he played with and he loves riding bicycles in the open play yard. Our family couldn't be happier that we found the perfect bilingual (Mandarin and English) daycare for our little one. Our 19 month old son has been going to Apple Tree since he was 14 months old, and the teachers at Apple Tree have taken excellent care of him and we are so grateful that he is healthy, happy and learning everyday. Our son attended Apple Tree from 6 months to 11 months and we couldn't be happier with the experience! We no longer attend since we moved out of SF, but we loved Apple Tree so much that we even considered delaying our move. We were nervous to start our son so young, especially because he has eczema and a ton of allergies, but Jasmine and the teachers provided such great care (from applying ointment for us and making recs for his diet), we had nothing to worry about. If there were any reactions during the day, Jasmine would make sure to send us photos to keep us updated. We are also parents of routine, and Jasmine did everything she could to accommodate specific nap routines. Jasmine and the teachers genuinely loved caring for our son. It still makes me smile to think about how excitedly Jasmine and Jun Jun Teacher would greet us at the door every morning calling his name. I know my son loved it too because he would return the smile, reach out, and not look back. A little bittersweet to see our son leave our arms, but I guess it's all part of growing up and I wouldn't trust anyone more than Apple Tree to help with the process. read more

TLDR: Apple Tree is one of the best daycares in the city. They are clean, very well managed, and we will miss Jasmine (founder) and the teachers/caregivers so much. I cannot emphasize enough how much we love Apple Tree. My first impression when I met Jasmine on the daycare tour was that she was very friendly and knowledgeable (answering every parent's questions with no problem). The daycare itself was very clean, something I look for even at the new daycare we are transferring to (our daughter is 'aging out' of Apple Tree and we moved to a different city). Our daughter has been at Apple Tree for about 1.5 years and in that time, we have been extremely happy with the staff and curriculum. Every morning, Jasmine or her teachers greet us warmly at the door. I always feel comfortable and at ease leaving my daughter with them. As a first time mom, it's been hard to leave her with anyone but family, but Apple Tree has really felt like family over the course of a year and a half. I sincerely wish we could stay longer. All the teachers, including Jasmine, are so kind. On the educational side, our daughter has learned basic mandarin. It's very cute. We intend to continue encouraging her to speak mandarin and Apple Tree has definitely given her the foundation for it. Even if our daughter is hesitant at first to go to school, after I pick her up, she always expresses how much fun she had and wants to go back! She has such a fulfilling time at Apple Tree singing, dancing, creating art. Another perk of Apple Tree is that they serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks. What a relief it is for me! They serve healthy food, so I don't have to worry about her nutrition when she's away from me. Our daughter has been attending Apple Tree for over three years, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From her first day at just a year old, Jasmine and the other teachers have been incredibly kind, loving, responsive and communicative. There seems to be very low turnover - many of the same teachers who were there when she started are still there today. As working parents we love that they provide breakfast, lunch and snacks there, and that they offer backup care on most holidays! They just moved to a new facility which is absolutely wonderful, with an amazing outdoor play area and a cheerful, clean and well-organized indoor space. They just started offering preschool, allowing us to keep our daughter there until kindergarten. We have been very pleased with her progress on her letters, numbers, counting, etc., as well as her social and emotional development. They do soccer class every week and we have been very impressed by the lesson plans as well. For example, last week was all about planet Earth and our daughter has been talking about planets every day since. We originally chose Apple Tree because it had excellent reviews and we lived close by in the Mission. Since then, we moved to Inner Sunset making the commute three times as long, but we never even considered switching daycares; Apple Tree really does feel like a part of our family at this point. Our daughter just left AppleTree daycare to go to preschool at CAIS (and luckily 8 of us migrated there together) and while we are happy to get into CAIS, we miss the families and teachers at AppleTree so much. After the SIP was lifted for daycares, AppleTree did everything possible to make sure they were ready to take kids back safely (changed flooring so cleaning can be done to COVID standards, changed HEPA filters, utilizing multiple doors for flow of traffic) and still kept the loving environment for the kids! The teachers create the most nurturing and fun day for the kids. My daughter started at 11 months and we were there for 2 years and 9 months. She always loved daycare, families got together and had monthly play dates and really helped each other out. The community is fantastic and you are really supported. It feels pricey - but you really get more than you realize. All meals, snacks, and milk. They don't nickel and dime you for being 5 minutes late. You get yoga, music, and art classes - even at 1. We thought it wasn't useful at 1, but was amazed at the usefulness of activities. (Walking on egg crates to help with balance). The teachers have really helped my daughter gain confidence while she was there. Our daughter has been going to Apple Tree for 3 weeks now and she absolutely loves it. She is only 6 months old and she hasn't specifically told us yet, but we can see a smile on her face when she arrives and leaves. The love Apple Tree shows its kids is truly special. My son went there from 6 months until just after he turned 2. When he was a baby he would hold out his arms each morning as soon as we turned onto Apple Tree's street in anticipation of hugging Jasmine. Every morning and afternoon she is standing at the door available to chat and seems to know in detail how each child is doing. Each day they do a different activity, such as yoga, art, music, or my son's favorite, soccer. He learned so much at Apple Tree including Mandarin phrases and songs. The teaching staff mostly remained the same the whole time we were there, which provides stability for the kids and speaks well of the working environment. Apple Tree goes above and beyond to make things effortless for families. Drop off/pick up is easy, they provide home-cooked meals, snacks and napping mats, and they rinse and bag soiled clothes. During holidays and closures they offer backup care so no need to scramble when their days off don't fit your work schedule. One of the best parts is the wonderful community of parents, who organize weekend play dates, after-work dinners and other hangouts. Every day after pickup families play together at the playground across the street, and our son would often talk about his friends in the evening and ask to see their photos. I will add that no one at Apple Tree ever asked me to write a review - the parents here just love it that much! We feel so grateful for having found Jasmine and Apple Tree Day Care! Jasmine genuinely cares for the kids and my son loves her. As my husband and I do not have family in the Bay Area, there were a couple of times Jasmine stepped in to help us attend to Luke, and we are so appreciative of the help she provides that really goes above and beyond. I do think kids can tell who are genuine and kind to them and the fact that my son still talks about Jasmine even though he has moved on to a preschool is proof that ATDC is an amazing place. When I found out that my son got into a preschool of our choice, my first reaction was to cry as I know that meant leaving ATDC! That is how much we all love Jasmine and the daycare =) Few other pluses: * Full time day care which is a huge plus to working parents * Lunch provided * Convenient dropoff and pick ups ATDC might not look like much from the outside but don't be fooled! It is full of love on the inside ;) My only regret is not having my son start at ATDC sooner! If we ever have a second child, no doubt we will be going back to Jasmine for sure! read more

I can't say enough good things about Apple Tree, Jasmine, and all the teachers there. Our daughter really thrived there even though she is someone who is slow to warm up to strangers. The structure of their day, activities, special events like Halloween, art class, and all the little details made us very comfortable leaving our daughter in their care, even through covid. The facility is very nice and they followed protocols to make sure everyone is safe and protected. Our daughter spent a little over a year there, from 7 months old till 21 months and it's been very nice to see her blossom under their care. A bonus is the parents and alumni network are very strong, with a good Facebook group to support each other, along with various playdates and events (pre-covid), and group chats during covid. Not sure where to start on this review, but let me start by saying THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION WE MADE FOR OUR DAUGHTER. Jasmine and the teachers are the most caring, sensitive and generous people you'll ever meet. Whether you're early or late they always have a smile on their face and are so understanding. When choosing daycare providers when my daughter was 9 months old, my wife and I always talked about how as a first time parent you just hope your daycare loves and cherishes your child the same way you do. Apple Tree embodied this and so much more! The structure, organization and genuine care for the children is so evident when we bring our daughter home everyday. In 2.5 years at Apple Tree our daughter has never come home without a smile. The facility is immaculate - clean, sanitized, anti-COVID and I feel fortunate that Jasmine took my daughter in. I always tell myself that when I drop her off I never have to worry about her being neglected, fed or simply loved. To see your child grow with happiness is one of the greatest things and to know that Apple Tree was the foundation for that makes me so grateful to Jasmine and her team. When the day comes for your family to leave you will realize just how important Apple Tree is and how it is an extension of your family. All in all, I couldn't recommend a better place for any child and have nothing but high praise for Jasmine and the team! If you choose Apple Tree I promise you will not have any regrets. read more

I would not be exaggerating by saying that Apple Tree was the single thing we missed the most when we moved away from SF. We had two daughters at Apple Tree (both started at 6 months old) and it was always a relief for us seeing how happy and comfortable they were going there. Jasmine and all the teachers are caring, responsible, and affectionate. They clearly enjoy taking care of kids and it shows. Jasmine is always on top of things, with top notch communication and her handling of changes and precautions during Covid are the best I've seen. Apple Tree also has a great parent group that makes it easy to schedule play dates and have the kids connect outside of daycare. We even had former Apple Tree parents help with school selection for the graduating class. Overall, can't recommend Apple Tree enough. We'll miss it! read more

After ditching two other licensed daycares that were untrustworthy, I was lucky enough to stumble upon Apple Tree DayCare in SoMa. I love Jasmine and her girls at Apple Tree Daycare. My 2 year old LOVES them even more. She comes home happy.. she runs in their door every morning happy and often throws her hands in the hair and says " HI!" with complete glee. It's really cute!! The place is spotless clean, everyone takes their shoes off at the door. It's in a beautiful secure building with several doormen (and women) in other words- SECURE and SAFE building! They do outings, they do crafts, there are books and lots of playtime. Best of all I get a picture emailed to me everyday which is nice to look at while I am working I know I am the first review here but if you are considering Apple Tree Daycare.. just go check them out.. try and catch another mom - you will see how awesome these girls are. We looked at so many places in the city- but nothing like apple tree! The amount of love that jasmine shows for each child is something you won't find easily elsewhere. She would light up every time I dropped off Nate, even if we were early, she always welcomed him first thing with a giant warm authentic mommy bear hug. My son was there for a full year, always wearing a big smile at pickup - clean and happy. He learned a lot, made the sweetest little friends, did crafts, ate fresh food, played soccer, had music class and was shown lots of love. Jasmine and her staff were always so understanding if I was stuck in traffic during the winter months and made sure Nate was cared for and happy even in the most unfortunate circumstances. If we hadn't gotten accepted to a specific school we sought after, Nate would be at Apple tree as long as possible- jasmine and her staff cried non stop when we notified them- she really made her way into our hearts. I would recommend Apple Tree in a heartbeat- and look forward to sending any future child I might have to this caring facility. We love you Jasmine! read more

I have nothing but the best things to say about Jasmine and the team at Apple Tree. From the first days of when our daughter (now age 2) enrolled, we noticed a positive change in her self-confidence, engagement, and language skills. She is so happy to get to school to see her friends each day and is frequently humming a heart-warming school song when she is at home. The teachers are extremely tuned in to each child and the community is full of parents who deeply care about their kids' education. Apple Tree recently moved into a brand-new space. It is bright and airy on the inside and includes a large outdoor play area. One lifesaver (especially for two working parents) is their back up care which is offered on a lot of school vacation weeks (and some holidays.) Finally, Apple Tree is very well respected by many Pre-School/Pre-K programs, especially in the Mandarin speaking community, (a serious consideration for those evaluating these programs as a next step.)
