The teachers treat every child with kindness, respect, and genuine care. We've never had any issues and have always felt confident that our daughter is in good hands. Miss Maria (the director) has always been very nice with any changes in our daughter's schedule and has always tried to accommodate us in any way she can. It's clear how much she loves these kids. There was a time where she was out sick and her joy at seeing all the kids when she returned was heartwarming. We have another daughter who we will be sending to this daycare when she is old enough because we love it that much. We'll genuinely miss Kaleidoscope Children's and all the amazing teachers who have made such a positive impact on our family.

I rarely give reviews due to it is a wasting of my personal time; however, as this place related to…read morekids, I'd share my thoughts and experience in order to help other kids and parents. My son (3+ 1/2 years old) joined this place on Thursday and the owner canceled on us on Thursday night (he had 2 daycare/preschool experience in Seattle, all of them went very well). The owner canceled us with ridiculous reasons as she said she felt offended due to my husband asking a couple of questions (nicely) about my son. Also, she defined my son as autism as he was repeating words and not able to draw within lines, so she cannot work with him. (My son is not autism as we already evaluated with specialists in Seattle, so I don't know where is her knowledge from...) Here are some background and details about my husband's questions: Our family relocated to here so that we live at hotels during the move. Those hotels had system bugs/fire drills and loud alarm with bright beam went off multiple times during the days and in the middle of the nights. We believe my son got scared and traumatized somehow during these highly alerted scene since then he started to freeze, cry, and cover his ears when sudden loud noise went off. When my husband went to pick up my son, the owner told my husband my son was suddenly cried during they had bells game during the day, and my husband expressed his concern about my son's trauma; therefore, the owner was fully aware of our concern. In addition, when we toured this place on Wednesday, my son rushed in and started to play bells with other kids during their bells game time. After my husband came home, he forgot to ask if my son covered his ears during the bell game. If he covered his ears, which means he probably related the bell to the alarms due to his trauma; if not, it's probably something else upsets him. All we wanted to know is how to help him. So my husband called again asked if he covered his ears during the game and got two different answers, one teacher said he did, the owner said he didn't. We were thinking that is ok, we will continue observe my son and hopefully help him grow out of that trauma. (that's it, just a simple question, no any other intentions, just getting information) Later the day around 8-9pm, the owner called and said she felt offended about my husband's question; also, my son kept repeating words and cannot draw within lines. Therefore, she decided to canceled on us. As for the autism. I hope the owner do her study and research before define any kids. Autism kids indeed repeat words and cannot draw within lines. However, kids who repeat words and cannot draw lines are not 100% autism(understand the logic here?). There is a thing called speech delay. It can be caused by many reasons: 1) My son was born right after the pandemic, daycare either closed or teachers were wearing masks. Pandemic babies appear to have higher ratio of speech delay. 2) Stand on the gender point, boys tend to have 60%-70% of speech delay so that they need more time to catch up and bloom on it. 3) We are a bilingual family with English and Mandarin language input daily, these languages are two very different systems, so kids from families like this tend to have language delay. I called the owner on Friday morning, she told me she will give my son a second chance. Well, excuse me, I am not going to give you another chance to appear in my son's academic learning as I don't feel comfortable and I don't feel safe to do so. I, English is my second language, as a master degree holder major in education; Illinois State board of PreK-12 professional teacher credential holder; 5+ years of teaching experience in International schools and US high schools with students, parents, and coworkers came from US, UK, France, Germany, Russia, China, Japan, South Korea, my suggestion is do NOT put your kids here if you want the best out of your kids. As an educator and a parent at the same time myself. Teachers should be open-minded, cooperate with parents, be empathy with parents' concerns, help kids in different levels; do not be over analyzed and over sensitive, give others good credit and have positive attitude at the first place. Meanwhile, parents have the rights to ask all kinds to questions and know how was their kid doing during the day. Don't spoil certain people and be brave to ask questions. There will be some good ones willing to work with you. Why we chose here? Actually my husband did, not me. He talked about how good this place is based on reviews. What can I say, he is just a good person with naive ideas. I utilized this bad experience to share him do not trust on reviews which they can be faked and be suspicious when there are only 5 stars without claiming other social platforms. Don't use misunderstanding as an excuse since the whole scenario was pretty transparent. Be communicative, inclusive, diversity, and equity are my suggestions for this business.

Was told by the Principal that God, in a prayer session, instructed her to expel my son. So, after telling me how well bahaved and respectful my son was to peers and staff that she was told by God to expel him. But, conveniently, God never told her to expel my daughter with a 4.7 GPA.
