The ambiance was a bit dilapidated with loud music playing through the numerous speakers. I ordered Pick 2 for $7.99 (chicken tortilla soup, chicken roll up) while hubby got cheeseburger & fries with a Mountain Dew (they were out of Pepsi). A soft drink is only $2 with the lunch special which is a good deal! Our food came within 15 minutes & was piping hot. My soup & chicken roll up were scrumptious. I would definitely order it again. had been sooo busy lately w/no time to cook, ordered appetizers from applebees on washington blvd (october 12,2025) (and i had it delivered by doordash) everything was absolutely perfect!!! i ordered the wonton tacos and some wings etc and mannnn okayyy so listen..... first of all.... idk WHO was working at the hamilton applebees last night but they need a RAISE for GREAT tasting food! GREAT presentation with the tacos!!! chefs kiss so to speak. the taco/wontons were LOADED and already made! i've NEVER had that before when ordering delivery or to go OR w/carryout! (everything for the taco/wontons were always in little cups on the side which everyone always disliked so much. This place should have stayed closed. My wife and I gave this place 3 chances. The food is generally good. The service is probably the worst in Hamilton. We waited at the door to be seated with a restaurant that had maybe 15 people in it. After 10 minutes we left. Previous times the server staff seemed put out to take an order or to follow up with you after you have gotten your food. Overall avoid this place. So disappointed! We go to the Applebee's on North Washington and Hamilton Ohio very frequently. Because of my husband being sick, we actually DoorDash Bourbon Street steak. This steak was so grizzly. It was not edible. I called trying to speak to the manager. I was left on hold for 20 minutes. At that point I called back and told the person answering the phone. How long I've been on hold. Within five minutes the manager got on the phone. Instead of trying to remedy the situation, this man tried to blame it on the food distributor. I explained to him the food distributor may have had a bad cut of meat. The cook at Applebee's should've seen. This was a very over gristle steak that had no meat to it at all. His rudeness and lack of customer service will prevent us from trying to go there again in the future. Don't waste your time and money. read more

Applebee's in Hamilton Ohio Washington N/W. The service and the GM were horrible two of the meals didn't come until everyone else has finished there meal. When they finally brought it out it had been sitting under the heating lamp to long GM Aaron Hopkins. I can't see how he became GM. He looks terrible as if he'd been sleeping in an alley all night looked as if he hadn't shave all year dressed completely sloppy with a baseball cap on. I have been coming to the Applebee's in Hamilton, Ohio since they first opened, many years ago. During this time I have lived in Hamilton and Oxford but even when living in Oxford, I found it worth the drive back to Hamilton because I like the food and sports bar atmosphere at Applebee's. However, it seems that since the pandemic started, the experience at the Hamilton, OH Applebee's has gone drastically downhill. I have noticed several times that staff members are hanging out at the bar and also bringing their children to hand out in the restaurant with them. Today, I met a friend a Applebee's and there were several young ladies doing each others' hair at the booth behind us (braiding hair). I do not appreciate having people messing around with their hair right next to where I am eating. My friend and I moved a few booths over and then I saw the young women get up and move to the hostess station and I realized that they worked at the restaurant. Seriously? Management thinks it's OK for staff members to use a booth in the restaurant as a hair salon while customers are eating??? Our original server (Lindsey) was very courteous. We told her why we were moving seats but she had no response to that. After Lindsey clocked out, Emily took over our table. Emily was very friendly but she was one of the associates who had been having her hair braided and caused us to move. I realize that all businesses are having trouble filling positions right now but this is ridiculous. I often eat the the Applebee's in my hometown (Sidney, OH) and the staff are always professional. I am very sad that I will probably not be patronizing the Applebee's in Hamilton any longer. There are so many other new places to go in Hamilton since the Spooky Nook is opening that I don't need to tolerate hair dressing and staff members partying and entertaining their children while I am having dinner. I know this is long but I am very disappointed. I have lots of friends who will not go to Applebee's because it is a chain. I happen to like several things on the menu very much but I won't be going to this Applebee's anymore. There is a management problem at this location, for sure. read more

the service is completely horrible if you are picking up for doordash or grub hub. when you get the order on doordash or grub hub the apps give them 10 to 15 minutes before you have to pick it up, i generally wait until the time to pick up before i go in. unfortunately i always have to wait 15 to 20 minutes after the pick up time before they hand me the food, sometimes no one asks me if i have been help and i have to wait for the order to come out to the table. doordash and grub hub do not pay you by time, so basically apple bee's is costing me money by waiting for so long to get the order, so im losing money every time i take an order there. The best part about this place was our server. He was very friendly and talkative. He was pretty much the only one working very hard while i seen other servers standing around. I go here at least twice a week with my grand daughter. We have met a guy here named TJ. He is usually one of the men who help you find an table. He also gives us a discount because we are in his "family". We are actually just really good friends. But, overall, next time you are at this Applebees, ask for TJ. If he is there, ask him if he knows a Mary and/or Lila. Also ask if he says "yes", ask if they come on Wednesday nights almost every week. As far as Applebees goes, this one is pretty good for chain. I don't often eat in the restaurant, and usually get "To Go" orders. I've never had a complaint about the service or the speed of the food coming out, and only occasionally have an issue with my order being wrong. What I like about this location is that they are very accommodating of special orders. I like extra dressing with my salad, and they never fail to take care of me. Usually we get Applebees on the way home from the barn, and so we come up with some pretty strange orders since we want specific things when we're tired. Not a problem for this location. They will customize the heck out of our order without batting an eye. I think very highly of the service at the bar. Sometimes, we have to come in and get our order from the bar. The bartenders are always paying attention and they don't slack in the least. When we get there a few minutes early, they usually have our order ready, and if not, they get it together very quickly. I've gone through a couple of bartenders, but they hire quality staff at this location. If you're in the area and craving Applebees, check this one out. It's worth the stop. read more

Less than 10 cars in the parking lot and the excuse for my burnt burger was there was a rush on the cook and they were not able to keep up. Why ask how I would like my burger cooked (medium well) if you bring it out burnt on both sides. Asked for onion rings for a additional $2.00 and got a total of five. The boy behind the bar saw the burger was not what I ordered and asked if I wanted him to take it back but I told him that I had to go. I didn't have time to wait to have it redone I ate less than half the burger 2 onion rings and one drink of my second beer. When I asked for my check. I was told there was a couple dollars taken off my bill. When I tried to talk to him he became abrasive. Turned his back and kept talking With all that is going on now I would think people would try and do a good job not have a bad attitude. Don't know that I will go back. After a one-year boycott of this restaurant I decided it go back. It was after their remodeling and for the fact that my son wanted to go. The service and food was so bad before that I had to boycott it . With that said, I actually enjoyed it last night. The remodeling is nice with the open layout . You can actually see all the TVs now. And all the old dust collecting stuff on the walls is gone. The service was much better and food was actually pretty good although I stuck to the appetizers. We just had a terrible experience here. After waiting nearly an hour for our food. My wife's food chicken and fries were cold. I had my sister in from Arizona and her hamburger was not done at all on the inside. The last 2 times I have been at this location there have been problems. When you arrive at the Bees in Hamilton, a strange aura fills the stale air of your 2004 Toyota Camry. The friends you came with begin to feel like family, and the family with you feels like so much more. Two gorgeous sets of tarnished metal double doors are all that stand between you and the pure ecstasy of a 6 seater booth at your neighborhood Applebee's. The grand entry is topped off by a crowd of beloved locals, 30 of Hamilton's finest with only 25 teeth between them. Most tables are dirty despite the restaurant being empty, a sign that this place serves up some good eat and they don't have time to care about health code violations. The hostess is dull, but not dull in a way that makes you upset, dull in a way that fills you with wonder and mystery. Her eyes never meet yours, but if they did you can be sure they would pierce right into your soul. She seats you, and usually forgets utensils and the menus, but you can't help but thank her because her misery might be what makes the food so good. Your waitress comes with a round of customary tap water, and her dreadlocks are mesmerizing. You get lost in the best of blonde and brown hair that will surely find it's way into your delicious fajitas, but you don't care because this is Applebee's and when you're here, you're family. It takes her only 15 min to return with your specialty ice tea and take your order. Your eyes have been making love to the menu from the moment you sat down but you can't even begin to fathom what tasty treat you will consume today. All you can muster when the waitress asks is "bbbbbb. Bbbbbbbb. Baby back baby back baby back ribs" and she says "we only have riblets today" and that's okay with you because you'd rather have the fajitas anyways. The way they sizzle when they arrive at your table just excites your loins and you yearn to taste their over-seasoned deliciousness. 2 blackberry lemonades later and you have to pee. You stroll casually to the bathroom, pants unbuttoned to make room for your feast. These bathrooms might as well have been in Caesar's Palace and used by Caesar himself. The toilet paper. The paper towels. The errant strips of used toilet paper litter the ground. The urinal cake has been replaced recently and you can't help but suck in that lovely scent. The scent that keeps you coming back. The scent that remind you....you're home. You return to the table a new man, with a newfound appreciation of this Mecca we call Applebee's.
