This probably one of the worst Applebee's I have been to. The wait to sit was bad but I see why. After we was seated the drink order was fairly quick but receiving wasn't so quick. I ordered the all you can eat chicken,shrimp or riblets. It took forever to get our food and refills. Once the food arrived it was 3 small tenders (a little larger than a nugget and shrimp that was not very tasty but I did get a plate full of fries.. I then ordered a second plate and once again it took forever and was worse than the first plate but don't forget the large order a fries... Needless to say I'm not coming back read more

Stopped here for lunch. Staff must be hard of hearing because the music was very loud. My server had to repeat herself every time because I didn't even hear her speak when she walked up. It was 80's music with back-to-back David Bowie, so at least I could relive my teenage years. However, I don't think I used to listen to it at that volume. If the volume was meant to force the customers to eat fast and get out, then they have solved that challenge. Food was ok. Service was fine - it wasn't her fault nobody could hear her. read more

The reason for one stars is because I like Applebee's and have never had a problem with it before until this location. First our waitress took 15 minutes to get to us. She said she did not know she had our table. She did apologize but here is the problem she never asked what sides I wanted plus she never brought our food. She basically dropped our drinks off and did not come back until after our food was served. She made it to other tables several times and they were people who were seated after us. Very poor service. Will not come back to this location. Not very good when you have people who are from out of town. read more

I enjoyed a late afternoon lunch today. My experience was exceptional from the pleasant greeting from the hostess at the door to my server whom was truly on the ball. My food was delicious and prepared exactly as I asked. The dining room and restroom was spotless and the entire ambience of the restaurant was relaxing and inviting. read more

Okay, I understand it's an Applebee's. But I left very unhappy and I want to share why: Went in for lunch, got my entree with a side a macaroni, my server said that it's one dollar extra to get the macaroni. Okay fine. They bring it out, and I immediately recognize the macaroni as being Kraft brand (from the box with the powered cheese). I was a little tiffed, but oh well. I took a bite, it literally tasted like nothing.. I know, because I was raised on boxed macaroni. I became increasingly bothered by the fact that this was worse than what I can make for $.33. My waitress asked, and I didn't lie. She called over the manager, which is really why I am so disappointed: I explained, nicely, that this was somehow Kraft macaroni but had no taste, yet was a dollar on top of my meal's price. He curtly said "What, you expected it to be homemade??" Um, no, obviously not, because this is Applebee's. thanks for the reminder! read more

Well i cant rate the food .. we never made it that far .... so we go in and we were seated immediately ... imagine not very crowded... so we get a booth and sit .. and sit and sit ... i texted a friend to maybe join us as soon as we sat... so i know exactly what time we sat down ... 732pm... so we sit .. i told my wife we're leaving at 740 if no one comes to us 740 and we stand up... servers just happens to be walking to the table . She said where are you going .. i said leaving . been here 8 minutes and got no service so we are leaving ... she says OK GOOD and walks away ... so my wife goes to the car... i go to the hostess stand and say can i see a manager ... this is now 742 .. so i wait for a manager.. who come over .. the server... and she says what are you waiting for ... i said to talk to the manager .. she said about what .. i said your shitty attitude.. she said i dont have a shitty attitude .. i said well let me tell the manager that i waite8 minutes for you to come over to get our drink order .. then we get up to leave and you say OK GOOD .. and lets decide if he thinks thats shitty attitude or not ? so shes standing there and standing there .. i said where do your customers think you went while you are sanding her for 5 mintues.. and she huffed off .. i then waite till 750 ... figured i gave the server ill give the manager 8 minutes.. never did appear .. we left .. probbaly told 20 people so far .. they al said oh year that place is terrible .. thus the 2.5 star rating .. whats funny is they push the BOWLS .. and when you get the menu its on the menu.. on back .. 3 bowls .. no description to tell you wants in it ? just buried on the menu .. no table cards tellign you about them .. nothing .. dont waste your time ... read more

I normally enjoy Applebee's, but this location was horrible. Dirty atmosphere, slow food, and over all not worth it.

I ordered carry out from here using there car side to go option and it was very convenient. I quickly took my meal back to my home and eagerly got my food out to eat it. I should have known to look in the bag before I left the establishment. My order of fries was cold and consisted of maybe 15 fries tops. I would consider the amount of fries they gave me a sample not a side. There was also only one piece of bacon on my burger and it was dripping with grease. my meal was 12 dollars and I expect to get twelve dollars worth of food. Not a soggy sandwich with less than handful of fries. Very very disapointing read more

Where do I begin.....let me start with this meal was one of the worst meals we've ever had at a restaurant. We hadn't eaten at the Middletown, OH location in years so decided on a whim to give it a try. The place was still the same and was very outdated and just didn't have a clean smell. The table was sticky or gummy and the hostess told us it was the varnish because it had been washed so many times. We didn't know we were seated near restrooms until we saw a lady go back....then I could smell urine when she opened the door...that told me the restrooms were just as nasty as the rest of the place. Ordered 2 salads - 1 tossed and the other caesar. Same exact wilted lettuce on both.. husband had brown pieces in his. I saw something on my drink glass and thought it was on the outside and so I tried scratching it off but turned out it was inside.... Really? I had The Shrimp wonton stirfry and the rice was hard and cold. The meal was so bad that I barely ate because I was afraid I would get sick. Husband's chicken fingers was very dry and no taste Baked potato was a heated up potato grayish color inside. We chose to instead of complaining or making a scene, to pay and get out of there. I don't know how this location gets any repeat customers because that restaurant is just greasy and nasty and the food was totally disgusting! I have had many experiences here, and most of them haven't been great. I usually only go here because family do. Their steaks are horrible and never made right thefist time. Also when they do mess them up and get them back out to you, the people you are with are usually done. I don't really care for the quality of their food and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I have a family member who used to work here and my family likes to go quite a bit, but I don't think I'll be returning for food. If I go back it'll be for a beer and appetizers, doubt I'll get an actual meal. It's pretty hard to screw up appetizers, so I feel safe with that, and maybe dessert, other than that I wouldn't trust them to make a Hamburger Helper meal correctly. Second visit to this Applebee's... Both times had to wait over 10 minutes after being seated to even see a server! This time after10 minutes if sitting at a sticky table and watching at least threr different servers walked past us the entire staff were behind the bar waiting to start a happy birthday song? I had a date here the night before last. The date went well, if you are curious. But, more importantly, the waitress was fantastic. I didn't get her name, because I got there after my dare already had a table and a beer. I got some chips and salsa and an Oktoberfest. The beer was great. The reason for one missing star is that about half of my chips were stale. Otherwise, everything was great. I didn't mention the chips, because it was a date and I just sucked it up. I get it, we went on a Saturday. The hostess told us 10-15 minutes. After 20, I went up just to check in and trying to be as polite as I could (because I've been in the business and know how people can be). The woman told me 20 minutes. And then she said 20 per person. Five minutes later a table became available. She called a couple that had only been there for 10 minutes. We left.
