NEVER GET A STEAK HERE AGAIN, the best part of our meal was the apps after the fact with the drinks after waiting. When Applebee's in Williston happens to get the order right, it's pretty good. However, we consistently have problems with our order. They put in things we ask to be left out (asked for plain Penne Alfredo with no meat, received it with bacon), they give us the wrong amounts (asked for three orders, received one), they miss part of the order completely, they have given us extremely overdone breadsticks and donut dippers. read more

My colleague and I went here after work (we were traveling for work) after a very long day and wanted dinner (it was 10:00 pm). Although the server was great, the kitchen skipped our orders and we were in this restaurant until 12:00 AM. We both had a flight to catch the next morning and had to be up by 4:30 am to get to the airport. This was ridiculous that they skipped over our order. We waited 1.5 hours JUST FOR OUR DINNER! Although the salmon tasted very good, my order was not right and that was disappointing. I had my meal delivered, and when I opened it I was not happy. I changed the mashed potatoes to green beans, and then my favorite broccoli comes with it. Instead they changed the broccoli to green beans and included the potatoes. I WANTED MY BROCCOLI!! I am not supposed to eat the potatoes, but it was too late to change. One mistake from the kitchen will make me feel guilty for days....... By the way, the green beans were very boring. There are QUITE a few negative comments about this Applebee's..and I'm not going to lie.....I don't get it. I've spent many a lunch meeting here and every time, I have walked away happy. The food is standard Applebee's cuisine and in Williston...you pick your battles. I've never had a bad meal. I've never had a mistake with our order. I've never had a careless waiter/waitress. In fact, once we were given free dessert because the kitchen made up a Blondie they didn't need. (There are few situations in life as pleasant as getting free dessert!) So...I'm giving them FIVE STARS..in hopes that you ignore the negative and give them a shot! Also, their Carside To-Go is awesome! I can't even rate my service that I never received. My coworker and I decided to stop by for dinner, we got in got a table right away. We sat for 20 plus minutes with no waiter or waitress approaching us before we walked out and left. It wasn't even busy. We watched as people that came after us get their drinks and people around getting their food. Just trash, I wouldn't waste your time. I was very disappointed in the food quality the last few times I have been to this particular Applebee's, and many others. I am not sure if there is new management or what but their quality has gone down hill. Our service was ok, but the quality of food was just subpar. My son ordered a grilled cheese off the kids menu; toast was burnt and cheese wasn't melted at all. You could see the kraft singles on the bread. My wife and I ordered the chicken tender platter. Chicken was severely over cooked and the fries were stale and cold. The last time I went to Applebee's I said I wouldn't go back. This is what my kid wanted for his bday. After a long day at work, my fiancee and I decided to have lunch here. It was crowded and loud but we didn't really mind. A red-haired waitress called Sarah took forever to attend to us. She was rude, unhelpful and couldn't even apologize when she mixed up our order. We decided not to stay and eat, requested the dinner to-go and confronted the waitress on the need for courtesy. She refused to acknowledge, proudly advised us to speak to her manager and strolled off! I am a foodie. I'm not anti-chain restaurant but they're not my first choice usually. All that said, This was the tastiest Applebee's experience I've had in so many years I can't recall. I LOVED my meal. I had the Thai Shrimp salad and absolutely loved it. It was packed with flavor and crunch while being on the "Under 600 Calories" menu. I didn't expect to enjoy my meal as much as my husband who had the American Breakfast burger covered in a fried egg, hash browns, onions and bacon. I tried on bite and that too was excellent. I went today at lunch. I sat at the bar and the bartender was cold. Not friendly at all. A man gave her a $10 tip and she did not say thank you kiss my A$$ or anything. My ribs were dry and to spicy. It seems to be the same story at many businesses in Williston right now- This is truly a 'Boom Town' at the moment due to its central location in the prolific Bakken Shale. The sudden influx of oilfield workers has left many businesses scrambling to keep up with the crowds and make sure they have enough staff on hand and this Applebee's certainly isn't immune to that but it seems to be doing a decent job. I've eaten at this Applebee's twice now and I must say; It's one of the better choices for a sit-down meal in Williston. From what I hear it gets very busy during the normal lunch hours and dinner/ late-night but I usually go for a late lunch between 2-4:00. The waitstaff have always been nothing short of friendly to me and are usually very attentive to my needs. The food is about what I expect from Apleebee's. I usually order a burger and fries. Burgers are cooked med-well and the fries are crisp and hot. Nothing negative to report here but nothing that really stands out either. Went to Applebee's in Williston, ND, on February 9, and requested that the cook clean the grill before cooking our chicken and shrimp, since my girlfriend has a severe allergy to beef. We are continually worried about cross- contamination when eating out. We had eaten at that restaurant on January 28, made the same request, and ordered the same meal. We had no issues that night. This time the waitress checked with the kitchen and reported that she was "pretty sure" that the appetizers were not fried in beef fat. We decided not to order appetizers, and requested 2 Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp. The manager came out to see us, and informed us that they would not clean the grill. I explained that my friend's allergy was not just an inconvenience if she tasted beef. It was a matter of anaphylactic shock. He reiterated they were not going to clean the grill. We left the restaurant and had a wonderful meal at KFC. read more

What a joke. I tried a Margarita on the rocks, mistake!! It was way to sweet, and it says served in a big glass... they must have not come in yet. And over priced especially during happy hour. Oh happy hour is $1off per drink... that's not happy hour... I ordered the basil/mozzarella burger as that was $5 Off, was asked Pink or Not pink, I said Pink as Possible., 20 mins later I get a burger patty that's falling out of the bun in 2 pieces, the mozzarella is no where near melted or soft & I got 1 basil leaf.. oh and it's cooked WELL DONE! I asked the patron next to me if they see pink, Nope!! I sent it back for a Pink burger, I swear they brought the same one.. Was told they have to cook it all the way., I asked then why do you ask me if I wanted it pink.?? False advertising... I got a salad instead of fries, AppleBees fries are terrible and you might get 15 strips( wouldn't be surprised if they count them). So I chose pretzel sticks and chips n salsa instead, I ate my Cesar salad that was terribly portioned, a second salad came out as to go with the 2nd burger, that was double the size as my first one.. crazy right? Go figure.. after 15 more mins I was asked if I wanted another drink as I was going to get a beer, but instead of asking me f I wanted another Margarita they just brought it to me without asking me, so another $12 to my tab.. and again way too sweet.. I get my chips n salsa which was pretty decent, I ask if my pretzels are coming... was told, oh I didn't know you wanted both, even though she repeated back to me my order.. I ate here a couple of nights ago and I must say the food what what I expected and the drink was also fantastic, but what I didn't expect was the absent minded servers. First, received my appetizer, which was shared and was given no napkins, no additional plates nothing!! Wacky huh?!!! Them ordered main course and did not get utensils; when I asks for utensils they brought one although two meals were ordered; I mean come on people common sense. Then I waited 10 minutes and still did not get utensil from anyone in this establishment; had to wait to use my husbands utensils so I can eat: SMH!!!!! I mean come on people this is your job. There have been some times where it is so busy that you won't get served till so long after. When I went there one time when I was younger. It took us 3 hours to get all of our food! The best target times are probably before 12:00 PM. But other than that, it normally has AMAZING food. You should try it! read more
