Can't seem to find the six-star rating so I'll have to make do with 5. I had a very high priority…read moreneed for a certified appraisal ASAP. I found one party who promised he could get it done and sent to me by midnight on the second day after I committed to them, with a 4-digit price-tag. Thankfully, I was guided to the South Metro Denver Realtor Association (SMDRA) where I found Connie. I saw nothing but favorable ratings and filled in her online form at www.conceptappraisals.com She called me within half an hour - appraisal finished next day, half the price of the other offer who had explained how he was "going out of his way for me". Legal pros I dealt with commented this was the fastest and best they'd ever seen. Connie selflessly gave of herself to help my family! Did my family a great service, thank you, thank you Connie!

My review is based on my experience at 2 of Masterpiece Appraisals Estate sales & 1 auction, 1 in…read moreLoveland and 2 in Berthoud - both the same owner. Both the most unpleasant experience I have ever had at an Estate sale - each time some how they managed to lower the bar. The first sale located on Sika Drive in Loveland , the sale as far as items go was outstanding. The estate was chalk full of wonderful items. I went the last advertised day and was shocked how much was left. I discovered the reason so many things remained when I brought a few unpriced pieces I was interested in to the pay area , the rude fat man stuffing $ in a belly bag- got out his phone....looked up each & every item on Ebay to find prices. Literally using Ebay as a price guide at the point of sale. CLUELESS. About 75% of the items in the house were unpriced. As I walked in they said all the priced items were 50% off that day. So- after I got over the shock of Ebay pricing I focused on only priced items. I bought about 1/4 what I would have because of this. IMHO if you have no idea what items should sell for at an estate sale you have no business in the business. Pricing one item at a time from a customer's basket is the height of unprofessional, YOU are the expert, YOU are the one who is being paid by the Estate to KNOW pricing. The kicker to this is when you question why they are looking up each item they act as if you are trying to steal from them. They have zero responsibility to the estate or the experience of the customer buying. On the way out the door I was told there would be another sale 20x as big from the same owner in Berthoud in the coming weeks. That sale was the last 2 weekends. I attended both the estate sale & the next weekend's auction. The items in the house were mostly priced - alarming high but at least priced. The items in the outbuildings were not priced. I grabbed an item from the garage to get an idea of pricing and too my surprise the rude fat man once again got out his phone & looked up on Ebay the price. People waited in unhappy crowds around the pay table as Rude Man & the friendlier but clueless long hair guy stood their looking at people with an "I'm so sorry" look on his face. I can not even explain how rude the fat guy was. His general attitude is you are at an estate sale you are a stealing scumbag - I know this because they would talk back & forth to each other as they quoted outrageous pricing and then dog the buyer who would decline in ear shot of every one in line. He is shameless in his level of disgust with buyers. I believe his name is Terry but not 100% sure of that. He's a fat guy in shorts wearing black compression stockings with greasy black hair. They treated every single person like they were stealing - verbally & following people who put things back after declining their pricing. Giving up on the garage I went into the house and picked up a few priced items which added up to about $27, a younger girl was watching the back room & I asked if they would take $20 for everything - she said yes. I waited in a huge line to pay - people were grumbling and you could hear loud unhappy voices at the front of the line. Pretty fast I see the Owner of Masterpiece Appr. who is taking the money is not honoring the lower excepted offers & is doubling the amount. My $27 turned into $40 when I got there as the owner said one items "should have been priced" at $20 not $12 and he was "solely responsible for pricing which was subject to change. " It doesn't take long to understand a fish rots from the head down, this owner hates working with the public and trains his workers to do the same. The rudeness is how this owner wants it. I do not know what their specialty is but it is NOT Estate Sales - I can only speak to how they manage estate liquidation. They have no idea what they are doing , they hate buyers, it was a mess. A complete unprofessional mess. The next stage of this sale was an auction. There was so much stuff - really great stuff I convinced myself to go - thinking at least an auction is straight forward, bid, buy, get, leave. So I went last Sunday for the final part of the sale the mixed boxes from the out buildings. I had to work at 3 so I only had a few hours. Again the rude man was taking the money & again the process of paying was a MESS. Huge lines, I had to go ask for the bid sheet from the clerk because they were not ready for people to pay, imagine being totally unprepared for buyers to pay at an Auction - also imagine that it's your fault to them they aren't! Once again he strongly insinuated the buyers were trying to steal by not paying for all their winning bids. I was SO over this guy I lost it & yelled at him which in 25 years of picking I have never raised my voice at anyone. I will end this HUGE rant with 1 thought to chew on before you hire this company to liquidate your Estate : In my experience people suspect in others what they are guilty of doing themselves.
