Over Thanksgiving, with 12 people staying in our house (2.5 baths), our daughter noticed a water…read morestain in the downstairs ceiling under our 2nd bathroom. It didn't seem to be actively leaking, so we waited until Monday to get a plumber in to have a look. One leaking toilet seal (wax floor seal) later and our house was +70 dBs louder with our bathroom floor tile removed and drying equipment upstairs and downstairs. I'm glad we called Professional Restoration Services! They have been so helpful and professional (of course!) throughout the water mitigation process. They quickly assessed the issue that the plumber had seen (subfloor damage) and began work on demolition, mold removal, and drying out the area so it could be repaired. Drew (OSU fan, but I won't hold it against him) was great in his initial assessment and was helpful with explaining the process and even working with the insurance claims adjuster who happened to be here at the same time. Esam, Cameron and George performed the service and daily checkups and were always friendly, helpful and professional! And everyone was very thoughtful with their cleanliness (always wore booties in the house, laid down plastic, etc....)! They are a local company and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has to deal with water mitigation and damage issues in their home! He spent an hour looking/digging around the area until he finally solved the mystery-- water was coming through a couple tiny holes in the bottom of the exterior door casing. So many examples are described as follows:…read more The mitigation estimate was emailed to the wrong address to the same insurance agent the company worked with just a few weeks ago. This delayed my work being scheduled and was left up to me to discover the disconnect (plus several phone calls). The equipment was running a week before the drywall in my kitchen ceiling was removed. (Significant increase in energy costs not to mention the loud noise.) Unfortunately in the removal they didn't leave 1-2 inches of drywall so that a tape joint could be used to attach the new drywall to. Now the molding has to be removed for the repair work adding cost and time. In addition, the clean up from the drywall removal was unacceptable. When I arrived home the residue was stuck to my kitchen floor and dust was on my appliances and cabinets. A cleanup crew came the next day. Franco said they were sending a person to conduct the repair estimate on Tues or Wed. As of Thursday no person has come to review the scope of work. We left text messages, an email and voice messages starting this morning. No communication was returned by this company. At 4:10 pm today I expressed my dissatisfaction to a new Franco contact who called to find out what was going on. I have cancelled any further interactions. Franco will come tomorrow to get their equipment out now that the humidity levels are in code. From what I hear the mitigation costs are inflated. Had I known... Dealing with Franco has been a time consuming and utterly frustrating experience.

Every project has needed to…read morebe redone several times by Venturi Restoration due to hiring cheap unskilled laborers. - cracked my bathtub dropping a toilet in it, not confident it was fixed properly, should've been replaced. - tile crooked and grout not evenly spaced - wall paint on trim and Vice versa due to zero painter's tape and overconfidence in ability by unskilled laborers - ruined my wife's vacuum using it without permission to clean up drywall dust - chipped trim with carpet knife during install - paint on carpet - two different carpets upstairs now don't match - missing valance to custom blinds - missing ceiling vent cover - hard wired smoke detector removed by unlicensed painters (not licensed electricians), and wires reconnected in walls, but they didn't remove light fixtures to paint properly? - paint on everything paint should've never been on due to zero drops cloths or proper prep, no booties worn until I instructed them to do so. They didn't understand why they needed them!?! - wasn't going to install insulation in exterior walls until I pointed it out. - Work Crews show up asking me what needs to be done, not having proper equipment, not understanding the task they were sent to complete and not completing task properly in accordance with scope of work.

Then Dennis at HHR came by. He said this is what they do. He showed me similar jobs he had done before and after. Told me how he would do it. What it would cost. They did the work. It was harder than they planned but they never mentioned more money. His team was very courteous and considerate. FYI... This is my first review ever. I'm 70.
