Absolutely awful! I genuinely give most people the benefit of the doubt. But on this one, there is no grace. They improperly billed my insurance company and only billed a percentage of the intended balance. Long of it short they billed me for the rest of the balance. Then when they didn't get the money from me due to it being their error they sent the bill to collections even after they told me it was their mistake and they would take care of the issue. sent home from the hospital following lung surgery for cancer with a home concentrator and an order for a portable concentrator. These ppl never contacted me nor returned my phone calls to obtain a portable concentrator. when ii finally got a hold of someome, they told me they haven't carried POC since 2022. I was referred to these people as a source for CPAP supplies. Every contact with this company is an exercise in frustration and face-palming incompetence. Questions aren't accurately answered. You can't buy individual headgear from them that fit your head; you can only buy a package that contains the face gear with whatever headgear has been packaged with it. Supplies take up to ten days to be delivered. No, they can't supply you with an order number for your order until it's shipped out. Apria showed up to my home to take away my sleep apnea machine. I had no contact with them. I had no idea they were coming. I call them - I am on hold forever. No one ever picked up the phone. I called their corporate number. Eventually, I got someone on the phone. It turns out they just needed me to update my insurance. I had one bill of $32 ish. They were going to take my machine with no contact with me nor any bill received. Who runs this organization? read more

Apria has billed my account twice. I called this morning and was given the runaround. First I was told I wasn't billed twice. I called the bank and they confirmed the double charge. I called Apria back and the second rep. confirmed they was a double charge but that it would take two weeks for me to get a refund. It's bad enough that you can't get through to any department without having to be subjected to a myriad of voice prompts. The staff seems totally inept. To add injury to insult they even suggested I set up auto-pay for future billing. I've called the main number to speak with a manager, to no avail. This is no way to run a business especially when you are dealing with people with health issues. read more

This company has been wasting my time for 6 months! Pulmonary Associates referred me to this supplier APRIA for a new CPAP machine in 9/21. Since then, I have called repeatedly to get my machine. Been waiting on my husbands CPAP Machine for over 5 months and all anyone can say is " it's at the warehouse!" No number to a warehouse, no way to reach the warehouse and no tracking number so it hasn't shipped out! Nasty people, nasty attitudes and everyone is new and knows nothing!! I purchased a replacement cpap machine and paid for it out of pocket when they were ABC healthcare in September 2021. It took them almost a month to ship it to me. They have been sending me bills now for more than 6 months stating I still owe them for the machine even after I send them copies of my credit card transaction and the invoice that stating it was paid in full. I made a complaint to the bbb after multiple attempts to resolve the matter. A letter from Apria to the bbb dated 5/27/2022 states the payment has been verified but i get another collection call on 5/29. I called four times today on 5/31 to verify they had updated their records, was put on hold for greater than 20 minutes and then the call disconnected. At this point calls to my states licensing board and consumer complaint line of the attorney general are the next step to get this resolved. read more

Frustrating. Started with pick up. Therapist not there to show me how to use machine so after long wait got a quick explanation of use which was not very helpful. Everytime they called they have a different number so thought it was spam and they did not leave message. Then realized I was passed due on ordering supplies. Pressure was set too high on machine which caused issues as well. On hold forever to order supplies then they sent large mask instead of small. Same person said they set me up for automatic delivery which they did not do. So now two more phone calls of being on hold forever to try and get supplies corrected. Now machine will not power on and I have been trying to get Sleep Expert for 3 days to help with this issue. read more

Horrible customer service. Spoke to one of their 24/7 reps 10 days ago about a wheelchair that was ordered 2 months ago but not delivered. Rep found order and said he would escalate it and have someone call back with 2 hrs. He also said if no one called, to call again. I waited 2 hrs - no one called. I called again and was told the same thing - it will be escalated and someone will call me within 2 hrs. It's now been over a week - no one has called. I called local number only to be routed to customer service in Kansas . I live in Virginia. I was told I have to pay a co-pay before they will deliver chair. Why wasn't I told this a week ago when I spoke with 2 different reps. I asked what their hours of operation are and was told 9am-4:30 M-F, no evenings, no Saturdays. Talk about inconvenient. I work from 8-4:30, M-F. When am I supposed to find the time to pay this co-pay? Why not a late evening once a week or a Saturday morning for those who work? If they want to offer good customer service, then they should adjust their hours to their customers. read more

I had no choice in choosing this company , my doctors sent me here. They have the worst supply/ shipping department. They have screwed up my supplies 4 times, today being the 4 time and the last 2 being back to back. I am tired of calling them as I get the same routine questions since I am on Medicare, this just to tell them they have sent me the wrong supplies. Do they not look at my history before they ship my supplies, obviously not. First they send me the wrong pillow/cushion. then they send me the incorrect frame for the pillow/ cushion. Today they send me the correct frame but no elastic strap to hold the frame around my head. Then they tell me that someone will call me to pick up the incorrect supplies sent. As of today nobody has called. I am at my wits end and fed up. I will try to go their Richmond office on Monday and see if I can sort it out. I would call the Richmond office but no one returns my phone calls after I leave a message at the Richmond office. i need my supply NOW as the elastic band on my existing frame is 3 months old and worn out and keeps slipping. read more

this company has the worse customer service, the local number only goes to the 800 number where you are put on hold. They called me August 2018 and said I had a past due balance from August 2017. I asked for an itemized statement. They sent me a bill only. As I am trying to call them back the recording says the wait time is 10-15 minutes. They expect your copay or coinsurance at time of order to be able to ship it out but then bill me 12 months later for something and then cannot tell you why it was so long being billed. read more

I am forced by existing rules to continue with this inept company. Allegedly three local Branches, but all with non working phone numbers listed. The National Call in number places you on hold for extended wait times and then disconnects you. There is no after hours emergency service number. If you have the option to choose a place other than here, do it. I've been dealing with this company for over a month trying to get my cpap. My prescription had to be sent multiple times. Two weeks passed, never got a call. My doctor had to physically call them to make my account. They shouldn't have had to do that at all. But now my account is made. Another week, almost two, passes and they finally call me. I had an issue with insurance (not their fault) that I quickly resolved and let them know I resolved it. I waited over a week and a half, again, with no call. I call them, give them my information, just for them to say THEY CANT FIND MY INFO IN THEIR SYSTEM. Someone deleted me out of their system for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Then the people that you talk to aren't in America so it's already difficult to understand what they are saying. I'm not being rude, I'm simply stating facts. The gentleman kept saying the same thing over and over to me. He was telling me that as soon as they receive my prescription, an account would be made. I told this man THREE TIMES, I already went through this process. There was no one else I could speak. Now I'm back at square one with these people. I will be calling my insurance to see if there is someone else I can go because I cannot deal with the lack of professionalism I have been receiving from this place. All I want is my CPAP so that I can, ya know, SLEEP WITHOUT FEAR OF DYING. This has been the most stressful experience to me and I wouldn't want anyone else to have to go through it. Obviously outsourced to people trained to avoid solving your problems and reading from a script to distract you, then transferring you to a 20 minute hold. Humana only uses Apria for billing servcies for CPAP and respiratory equipment. I have been dealing with these idiots for a little over a year. In January 2015 I received a bill for current charges and noted a past due amount identified as 30-60 days past due. I pulled my records and checks ans noted that I had made all payments. So i called Apria only to find that they were up-dating their system in Nov. 2014 and as a result bills didn't go out. I told them that it wasn't my problem. So i paid the bill and the Apria rep suggested I sign up for email billing. I did this and never received bills that way. When I ordered my CPAP supplies in April, Apria called me and said they had to have payment up front before they could authorize my supplies. The female rep said I had to pay over-the-phone with credit card, debit card or check. I told her I didn't give my credit card out over the phone and it was a kind of too bad, too sad situation. If I wanted the supplies I had to pay for them first. So i reluctantlty gave her my credit card info and clearly told her that this was a one time authorization for billing. In July I did not receive a bill and my account kept saying no payment due. When I checked my bank statements I noticed an automatic payment from my account to Apira. I called and told them that I did not authorize the use of my card for recurring payments. it was another big run around. I have been waiting for a delviery of my CPAP supplies only to find out again, that Apria will not authorize processing of the supplies so I called them and spoke to a rude man. Again he informed me that I HAD to pay over-the -phone or I wouldn't get my supplies. I asked him the amount and told him I would immediately do an on-line bill pay and he said they wouldn't accept payments like that. I told him I was fed up with their billing practices and he said he wasn't going to argue with me and asked if there was anything else I needed. I did pay for my supplies.and again specified this was a one-time authorization. When I asked why Apria hadn't called me to request payment he said he had called and got the message, "This number is not accepting calls right now." What??? I have call waiting and no one rang in. I told him this and he got nasty. So I told him in no uncertian terms that Apria sucked and he replied, "You've made that quite clear." Stay clear of Apria. Unfortunately with Humana I have no choice who the billing party is. The customer service is horrible. The reps are rude and don't do thier jobs. They never apologize for their mistakes.
