The main reason we came was for the 2 for 1 margarita deal they have from 1-4 PM, which comes out to about 10 USD/marg. There is a selection of 4-5 different margaritas, and you choose one type to get for both. Choices include the classic marg, spicy (w/mezcal, is not actually spicy at all), cucumber, and a couple of others. They weren't too sweet, and we enjoyed them on the beautiful patio area overlooking the beautiful beach. They have a DJ playing smooth tunes, and the environment is relaxed, casual, and blissful. We didn't get any food, but the menu (Thai food) looked quite tasty. The owner supposedly grows Thai ingredients locally for their dishes, and had an interesting story of how he came to start the restaurant in Tulum. Drink 2 margs (or more), watch the waves, get hungry, eat Thai food, and then transform into a beached whale on the white sands of Tulum. Trust me, it's worth it.

We booked the suite with the hot tub overlooking the ocean, and we're not disappointed. The room was gorgeous and spacious & we spent a lot of time on the balcony in the plunge pool! The hotel also had phenomenal craft cocktails, Mexican breakfast/brunch (fresh squeezed juices were amazing!!) and Thai cuisine for lunch and dinner. Every meal we had was outstanding! Aside from the hotel experience, the service was could not have been better. The concierge team was incredible and was able to answer any questions! The entire hotel staff was so friendly and welcoming, and the attention to detail was next level. Every time we came back to our hotel room we were surprised with little treats in our room (wellness shots, hot tea, chocolates, cookies, baked goods, etc)... I could go on and on. The hotel was truly the total package and was hand down the best resort we've ever stayed at. It made our honeymoon so special & was our favorite part of being in Tulum. We were so sad to leave Mezzanine but left knowing we would absolutely be back & we are the types to not stay in the same place twice! We can't wait to come back and see the Mezzanine family and spend future vacations there!!!

The pools are great and the lazy river was a ton of fun for the kids. There are so many options of things to do both inside and outside of the resort. One of my favorite things is that activities just kept coming to us! There's water Zumba and a water fitness class. There's a fun competitive sport in the pool every single day. They set up a really cool obstacle course in the pool for kids. We had a dance party, a foam party, and most importantly for the adults - a swim up bar with bar tenders that made excellent margaritas, daquiris, pina coladas and caipirihnas. The staff here were super friendly and that goes for every part of the hotel. The service at the restaurants. the towel person, the entertainment. Everyone was friendly and attentive to our kids and to the adults in our party. The only negative I would say is the food. But honestly, Ive never had good food at an all inclusive resort so thats just something that is par for the course. There's a grill where you can request freshly grilled meats and fish, and if you stick to that, you'll be good. Otherwise, it was all subpar food. I didnt take a star away because I dont expect food to be good at a resort, and this is based on my experience. how relaxing it felt, how much fun the kids had. the cleanliness of the beach and pool and resort in general. the fun and entertainment, and of course, the well made and delicious drinks. A 5 star experience all around. We will definitely be back!

I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received from IHG regarding…read moremy reservation. My concern is not with the hotel itself, but with how IHG and Iberostar handled my request. I contacted IHG and Iberostar in good faith to resolve a pricing issue and was hoping for reasonable customer service. Instead, I was met with inflexible policies and no willingness to work toward a fair solution. I expected IHG to value customer loyalty and make a genuine effort to resolve the situation. I am simply requesting one of two reasonable resolutions: * Honor the rate that was available so I can keep my reservation, or * Allow me to cancel my reservation without penalty so I can rebook at the lower available rate. Neither option is unreasonable, yet I was told neither could be accommodated. This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed with IHG's commitment to customer satisfaction. I hope IHG reviews this matter and empowers its customer service team to resolve situations like this fairly. I would appreciate a response from someone with the authority to honor the lower rate or waive the cancellation penalty so I can rebook. Doing so would restore my confidence in IHG and demonstrate that the company stands behind its commitment to customer service.
