I had a significant leak in my pool and called Aquaman to come out. Josh arrived and checked every nook and cranny in and around my pool. After a complete check for leakage Josh discovered two areas, one a small leak in grout at tile line, the other a broken return line about 1 1/2 inches in wall. Josh put epoxy in both locations, explaining that the chemicals and water pressure could over time wear the epoxy off the return line. However it could hold. it's been about 5 weeks and thus far no more leakage. I was very impressed with Josh's professionalism and explanations. Aquaman leak detection was set up by my realtor for a pool inspection on a home buy. I am out of state and I expected a full pool report as i had not seen the pool. I wanted to know basics about pool and more complex information. They sent a report of 9 sentences with no basic info (size of pool, depth, water results) and very little complex info. They did not explain the "bucket test" to the realtor in advance so that was not performed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR A POOL REPORT. They charge $275 for 9 sentences. All work was completed on schedule and on budget. The workers showed up when they were scheduled to be here and went right to work. They drained and acid washed our pool to remove a stain that was apparently caused by some sort of fertilizer that had inadvertently entered the pool some time ago. The stain is completely gone now and the pool looks great. During the course of the work they were constantly cleaning up after themselves. I suspected water was still leaking and did the bucket test and sure enough I was still losing some water. We have a complex infinity edge overflow pool that has been a challenge for several pool vendors and leak detection companies. Another leak detection company due to the complexity of the pool wanted to add huge sums for every single water jet, or water intake/skimmer intake in the pool, spa, of infinity edge overflow, that would have tripled the cost of the leak detection service. Aquaman was not the cheapest quote but was much more reasonable than many of the companies we called. They were professional and careful, and conscientious. Be careful with this pool detection service. They state a 30 day warranty on any repairs but will charge an additional service fee of $300.00 (within the warranty period) and state it was a separate leak. I had to call another pool leak detection service to finally locate and fix the leak. Complete waste of time and rip off. Filing a complaint against their business license and FL Attorney General so no one else is ripped off by this business. read more
