::AVOID::AVOID::AVOID::AVOID::AVOID::AVOID::AVOID::AVOID::AVOID:: AT ALL COSTS!
We had been long time clients of Aramark until we found an alternative supplier who would leave less of an environmental impact to supply the carpets and paper towel service for our offices.
When we called the General manager, Paul Cardinal to tell him we would like to end our contract, he informed us that due to our history, our contract automatically renewed for another 60 months.
Knowing we were implementing a change, I informed him that no one from our office agreed to extending our contract.
Paul informed us that because we didn't reach out to him to let him know we wouldn't be renewing, he automatically renewed the existing agreement.
And get this, in order to end your contract/cancel the renewal you have to mail or fax a certified letter 60 days prior to the extension expiring.
This is deceitful and incredibly bordering predatory.
I said those exact words to him.
Paul replied that this was all in the fine print. I quipped that there's long terms and agreements that he must check the 'agree' box without reading every word on a 4-scroll page. In typical salesman fashion, Paul replies that yes, in fact, he does read every word ToUs. *smh*
Even when you tell him you don't want his services anymore, he'll keep his claws dug deep and won't let you escape.
What a piece of work.
Don't sign up for any service contracts with them, no matter how small unless you enjoy spending your free time trying to escape the salesman pits-of-hell tactics. read more
