Especially for out of town visitors who don't have a car but want to get around between Dallas uptown and downtown areas. It's not fast, but gives you time to see the streets and sciences. And it's FREE! Great for young kids or anyone with a young or fun-seeking mind. There are pictures and introductions about the cars available! We rode on 3 cars in the two days we spent in Dallas : Matilda, Emma, and Patricia! They are the real life examples of "Thomas the Tank Engine"!!! But wait, they've also come to the 21 century - you can find their schedules online now. This is the closest stop to the Toyota Music Factory, the Irving Convention Center, the Los Colinas apartments, the deceptively named Marriot Dallas Los Colinas, and an easy walk once you learn to look at a real map instead of following Google Maps walking. There's an overpriced convenience store right by the station. In fact everything around this station is very overpriced, so it's a useful station if you're staying in one of the nearby hotels. DART is so affordable, get a day pass to get to the museum district in Dallas, and along the Orange line there are many much more affordable better restaurants than in and around the hotels. Also, this is the way to get to and from the airport though no locals, hospitality workers, or travel guides seem to know about it. From here, right into Terminal A, no hassle at all for a fraction of the Uber price.

Walking in, I was immediately greeted by what I would assume to be the owner. I asked her if she would mind putting air in my tires, and she didn't hesitate in saying yes. Not only did she have someone check my tires and fill them with air, she offered me water and a bathroom. There was even the most friendly pup there as well! Barkley was the best! It may be a Poison DART…read more These trains aren't nearly as shiny or new as or comfortable as the ones in Houston, but they do the job they will get you around and it's much better to ride one of these than a bus. According to my girl, the train system in Dallas is pretty sketchy. The trains look old school, like the ones in DC, but they have bus seats. The trains in Houston look more modern, by comparison, and have a lot more fare inspectors. The Houston system, even though smaller, just works more smoothly than DART, with fare machines that work and cards that are refillable, even online. Dallas needs to step up its train system and fix their fare machines. Or rather "unfair machines."
