For years I have been paying arbella very high rates. Someone hit my car on the street. Arbella did not send out an adjuster for almost a month. They did not return phone calls and never got in touch with the auto repair shop. The rental was horrible. The whole experience made me feel like i must be paying cut rate prices, but no my car insurance is closer to three grand. Someone insured by Arbella crashed into me neglectfully driving. I tried to take care of it with my insurance, but they insisted I call and deal with arbella insurance, and i've only had problems since the beginning. My "representative" didn't seem to care about helping at all, and although I didn't do everything imaginable to expedite the situation, this company definitely slowed me down worse than any insurance dealings I've had in the past. Lack of communication, unhelpful, slow. Edit: I'm glad to see I'm not a negative nelly by myself--this company is trash! Matt (or whoever my rep was) has the same name as me so I didn't want to come down on him, but he has been so useless and even threatened me with bills when I took a week or so to get receipts for my claim, and I felt so pressured that I never disputed the claim and I feel like this was on purpose. It took me probably 3 weeks to get a rental, hating these guys every day in between, and now I have to pay more bills because f-cking Matt couldn't call me back because he's such a busy guy. I struggle to say the rude feelings I have for this company, despite already having posted a nice paragraph of hate. Applied for a job here several months ago. I have 20 years of utility customer service experience. I needed. to take early retirement to take care of a parent with Alzheimer's disease. This was one of the first jobs I applied for when reentering the job market. I was excited because they seemed very interested in the over the phone interview. Second interview went great. As I looked around the office seemed like a very young vibe (no one over 40 I am 55). A couple of days later I received a generic email "thank you for your interest but we have decided to persue other applicants". Still seeing the job posting online months later. My wife had an accident a year ago and totaled her car. The adjuster gave us a hard time about the value of the car. After talking to her insurance agent(who gave me some ideas on research) I again talked to the adjuster, who treated me like I had no idea what I was talking about. After I told her I had advice from the agent she reluctantly agreed to bend. She was still VERY unprofessional When I complained to her supervisor, he was even MORE unprofessional. Arbella, I hate you......God I hate you so much...... So I'm sitting on my couch playing Rock Band having a few drinks starting really enjoy how bad my voice is while belting out Pleasure by the legendary band "Bang Camero" when I here the door bell ring. I open the door to a Saugus police officer who informs me that my beautiful little truck has just had her rear axle torn out by a drunk driver now she is totaled.....very sad. But hey that's why they make insurance companies right? Well stay away from Arbella they are absolutely useless. I was treated like a number and there was absolutely no sense of urgency in regards to getting me anything. As it sits now the insurance guy from the other guys insurance has been more helpful. I have had to do essentially everything myself from getting police reports to claiming rental reimbursement. Its been a nightmare. Here we are three weeks later and still no rental car honestly I'm losing my mind. I spoke with a supervisor about the complete and total ineptitude and he provided me no remedy. I expected more from a company that is about to face a major change in competition. We switched over to Arbella because our previous insurance turned out to be expensive. What a mistake that was. My fiancee was rear ended when stopped at a traffic light. The car transmission failed after the accident. We filed a claim and the appaiser went in to look at the car. They gave us a check just for the body work and not the transmission. So I tried to contact them to talk it over. It was next to impossible to talk to the insurance adjuster/appraiser. I called their office so many times, I lost count. Despite leaving multiple voice messages, I never received a call back. Frustrated, I called Arbella's customer helpline who finally put me in touch with someone in the wakefield office. This person was rude, not at all considerate and kept arguing with me.She kept insisting that it was impossible for the collision to have caused the transmission damage. When I asked if there was a possibility, she said no, and that this was not an insurance issue. I asked her, if the car was working fine before the accident, was rear ended and then developed transmission problems, wouldn't it be an insurance issue? And her response to me was "The question you have to ask is, is this an insurance issue?". So not only does my insurance company not help me when I'm not at fault, but they give me attitude. A person with such disposition should not be allowed to talk to customers. She ruined my day. I've dealt with insurance companies before, and all of them went above and beyond to help me out. I suggest YOU THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING WITH THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!! And if you do don't bother paying for full coverage they do not cover. I woke up Sunday morning and my car had been hit. I have a newborn and I am taking care of my mother witch is undergoing chemo for cancer as well as working a full time job. I did not have time to reported it immediately because I did not time. I did not call the cops because they unfortunately can not do anything if it is a hit and run. Last time someone hit me I called 911 and they said it is not necessary to call them for an accident, they said call your insurance. I called my insurance. They adjuster I got assigned was definitely racist (Shawn). He saw my last name and spoke to me as if I was illiterate. I have full coverage and he refused to give me a rental. My car was unsafe to drive, I could not open my door. He said leave it parked at your house and said if the claim is approved a rental will be assigned. I repeated I have work, a baby, and my mom that I must transport and all he did was repeated himself. I had to reach out to his supervisor in order to get my rental. Then he went over his supervisor to deny it again. There was no reason to start off denying the claim at that point but he did. Then he finally okayed it, after the initial back and fourth. I realized he was speaking to me like I was illiterate or like I had a language barrier because when he called me after I spoke to his manager he was speaking to me in a normal context; whereas before he was pronouncing all his syllables elongated as well as being monotone. At the beginning I just thought he had a speech impediment, I did not realize he was rude. I know he flagged my claim and he sent it to investigations. Once it was there it was denied. Daniel Poplawki was very polite but he was working against me as if I did something. All I did was wake up and find my car crashed. He was trying to prove his colleague right. I have been driving for 25 years and NEVER had an accident, not so much as a moving violation, until a fender bender back a few weeks of this writing. From my initial phone call to Brent Whittaker, Wakefield office, who was condescending, disrespectful and continuously spoke over me, so much so that the claim had to be sent on to his acting manager , Jean Surrett, whose role was to simply listen to me about the way Whitaker berated me on our many back and forth phone calls. He( Whitaker) claimed the body shop would not be paid ,after speaking with special investigators because I was not cooperating. I did not understand this since I did the recording, I even signed off an OK on him sending investigators to the body shop to read the " box" or computer of my 2010 Dodge Nitro! This fender bender turned into a stress riddled anxious mess.. I thought insurance companies worked for us the people who pay thousands of dollars a year, for what ARBELLA,??so that I can be called a liar to my face, I recorded each conversation with Whitaker just in case anyone reading thinks I was exaggerating. Yes he admittedly called me a liar and did not believe this minor accident or how it happened. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF ANIEXTY WITH A FENDER BENDER or EMBARRASSMENT by being told no one gets paid because your a liar. GO ELSEWHERE !SO MANY OTHER OPTIONS. Heartless Monsters. If I could give them 0 stars I would. We have only had Arbella for a year for both auto and home. We would have stayed with Arbella had Arbella not dropped my husband for filing one claim. A few months ago, I was hospitalized for days and when my husband was parked at the hospital staying overnight with me, someone hit his door and ran. When we asked the hospital if they had surveillance, they told us they didn't have any in that area of the garage. So my husband had to drive to the police station after I was just emitted from the hospital, still in my johnnies to file a police report. We had to pay a deductible to get the car fixed and months later, we find out that they have dropped him because he filed one claim. Absolutely ridiculous. my vehicle had the tires stolen was on cement blocks. appraiser listed the wrong sized wheels/tires/no pressure sensors/lug nuts. submitted the police report and the dealership parts required and the cost to restore the vehicle. so my guess is , the claims person had no idea of what the correct parts are needed.. wheels must be 20 inches I kept saying 20 inches.. they kept putting the wrong size wheels /tires on the appraiser statement , despite all the manufacturer documents ,that detailed what wheels / tires to use.. had this insurance company for 20 years never in a at fault accident .. only twice I had to get them to react in 20 years. they do this to make more profits and with the wrong tires your at risk on how the vehicle will operate as I was told by the dealership.. do all insurance companies do this ? as I am not a person that makes claims . update the owner of Arbella did not respond as was posted on yelp. probably a Russian bot.. this insurance company is exactly how they operate ... I spoke to a claims service specialist and she was not customer friendly at all with me, while she was dealing with my claim. She spoke with a little rude voice and she had no customer sensitivity towards me. I was very upset with her. Since, she does not know how to have very friendly customer service manners, then she should not work in that office. read more

The worst insurance hands down. I purchase the car didn't even have the car for 2 months and ended up breaking my tie rod. Arbella is taking my car away from me claiming it as a total loss and now I'm stuck paying for a car I don't have. They said it was way too much to fix the car versus the value which is only a difference of approximately $400. They did nothing to help me or try a solution. They would not pick up my calls I have left multiple voicemails and trying to get in contact with somebody with no luck this is by far the shittiest company ever. What's the point of paying for car insurance if you're not going to paid to get my car fixed when I need it. And then give me some bullshit ass reason that oh well the value of your car is less then what you paid so we're going by the cash value of the car. I do not recommend this company at all even with their good deals. Fuck them and fuck everything they stand for. Now I'm stuck paying $7,000 for a car that I'm not driving because they would only pay for $4,600 for the car and the total to fix my car is approximately $4900. That's only a $300 difference to get my car completely fixed but they'd rather total it and take my car away and now I'm stuck paying for a car I don't have read more

I had one at fault accident two years ago in 40 years of driving. Over the last year my car was hit twice while parked legally. Local police were at both instances and wrote reports. Arbella paid me for damages but was reimburst by the insurance companys of the people at fault. Now Arbella because of losses they will not insure me anymore.
