They are willing to work with me, and help me work around my school schedule which I appreciate a lot. Brooke and Kaycee are the staffing coordinators who I communicate with the most and both of them are fantastic. They always call me if there is a meeting I need to attend or if hey need something else from me. There are yearly staff meetings that are pretty repetitive but they try to make them go by as fast as they can. They always seem to have cases open, and make sure that I have as many hours as I can handle, sometimes I have to turn them down cause my schedule is so full. I like how I can scan my timehsheets and email them instead of dropping them off since it saves me so much time. They also make sure I have enough gloves and anything else hats needed. If there was one thing I wish that could change it would be getting paid every two weeks. I have worked for other agencies where I got paid weekly and it made a HUGE difference to me! I hope they consider to changing to a weekly payroll in the future. Other than that, they are a fantastic agency to work for and if you are a CNA then I would certainly apply here!

She is gentle, kind and loving, she has shown up every day she was scheduled except for a couple when she has been sick and didn't want to get them sick and she provides all the care we requested like light housekeeping, meal prep and serving, medication, etc. At times she has been off, we are always offered a replacement if needed. My parents utilize long term care insurance and Veterans Affairs for reimbursement of costs and the office staff faithfully and promptly submit invoices to both agencies. There are also 6 month reviews for any needed adjustments. We have been extremely pleased with our decision to use this company.

The son worked diligently and relentlessly to put everything in place for a good outcome. He cleaned, organized changed doctor to geriatric specialist, ordered meal delivery, grocery delivery...... He returned to his job in Michigan with confidence in Visiting Angels to continue the direction he had set in motion. However, they sent a different caregiver every single day so in fairness, they were unable to accomplish anything. Then on Friday mid day they called the son and related they are unable to return due to lack of staffing. Really????? So the son in a panic reached out to Griswold Friday afternoon and pleaded for help. This amazing company rallied their troops scheduled the intake, scheduled a consistent caregiver for all days to care for this man and were on duty on Monday morning. As an RN, I am not easily impressed, but they amazed me with their willingness to help and understanding of the need to move quickly and professionally. Grateful does not begin to describe how we feel. His professional caregiver is truly concerned with delivery of her scheduled duties, but, seeks ways to stimulate the patient and help him find joy during the day. After 3 weeks of back and forth, Shannon told us she was no longer able to work with us due to our "high level of frustration." The distrust in her process and unprofessional behavior, diminished any trust we would have had in her caregivers. It was an amazingly, disappointing process. We had been through finding care for our mother previously and never faced this type of unprofessionalism.

Gina Gordon from Care Patrol was really a savior to me and my family. My father who had been 100%…read moreindependent, amazingly healthy, and still an active writer, researcher, and speaker, had a stroke one day that totally affected the portions of his brain dealing with verbal comprehension. Physically he was not limited but over night, he became a person that has some off the speech and emotionally lability of a toddler while needing round the clock care and MANY adjuncts put in place (safety, new living arrangements, speech therapy, etc.). Plus his medical care network is hundreds of miles away in his primary residence city. Gina helped me - the middle of three sons and Power of Attorney for my Dad - find the right care despite his somewhat unique care profile (physically unlimited, distant geographic medical and familial support system, and all-of-a-sudden significant cognitive deficits). I often felt at my wit's end with nowhere to turn, ignorant to what my dad needed, caught between short-term, expensive, and wanting-to-discharge hospitals/ rehabs, and the wishes (although hard to understand) of my Dad. Not only did Gina know all of the possibilities, but she also had great relationships to the leadership of many different facilities, and thereby was able to help facilitate the "square peg in a round hole" that my Dad and his needs were turning out to be. But, by far the biggest benefits were Gina's kindness to me and my father, patience through millions of questions, advocacy to different facilities and staff (like getting a rehab to keep my Dad a little longer as the next placement location was difficult to finalize), and literally around-the-clock availability. I said to my family many times that "Gina took me off the ledge" meaning that this shocking life event - my Dad's stroke - left me feeling so hopeless and helpless many times...Gina was always there to offer advice and many possible pathways that helped my Dad in his recovery and really improved my mental health and well-being during this stressful time.
