On December 11th of last year his crew arrived to complete the agreed upon work of pruning major…read morestorm damage to one oak, removal of a large debris pile, and delivery of a pickup truck load of seasoned hardwood firewood. The tree work, as usual, was very well done. I have always been pleased with their tree work with the exception (on their prior job) of the sawdust that they failed to blow off the gravel walkway before rains forced it down into the gravel where it cannot be removed. They work safely and well in performing proper tree removal and pruning. However, I was surprised to see they were using tracked equipment through the lawn and drainage swale to access the debris pile for removal of the debris they agreed to remove. I was shocked to see the damage to the lawn area, the swale, and the tree roots that they dug up with this equipment. My husband and I were also disappointed that much of the "seasoned hardwood firewood" they agreed to deliver was wet, muddy and host to fungus when it was delivered. In addition, their crew removed part of the driveway timber edging to get their truck closer to the garage when it would have been just as easy to move some of the stored materials to the other side of the driveway to provide for access for their vehicle. Moving and resetting the timber edging resulted in damage to the asphalt driveway edge since the timbers were just yanked out and stomped back in. Neither the driveway nor the timbers are as they were prior to this and I would never have agreed to this if they had bothered to ask me. I requested they and I discuss a fair way to correct the damages and deficiencies when weather permits this Spring but have not gotten any response. I would not hire them again.
