Food got worst, work conditions got worst (just read the staff reviews on Indeed), they got rid of good, caring people. My mother died in there in early October 2020. Within 3 days between my mom's death and family cleaning out the apartment, a theft occurred of close to 50 valuable Swarovski crystal. I noticed a very suspicious series of events when the theft occurred. We notified senior management immediately. After speaking with the new senior management, my brother and myself left with the feeling they never really cared. They blamed it on a family member taking the crystal or another resident going into mom's empty apartment and stealing the crystal. I doubt if they even questioned their staff. The family has the feeling that the heirloom crystals will never be returned. Shame on the person who stole crystals from me deceased mother.

Staff turnover is extremely high. All of the above resulted in neglectful care of residents. residents would hit call button for assistance to go to the bathroom or with a medical issue and wait for 30 mins. Our loved one had a very painful medical emergency and the director refused to give pain medicine out of spite. Another time our loved one was not changed into a new outfit for three days (and they had had a bathroom accident). We observed memory care patients often parked alone for hours in common areas (some who were very verbally active repeating phrases over and over for hours) and distracting to other non memory care patients trying to use area. I also observed some of the staff mocking those same patients. And also these patients were Wellington hall was a really wonderful place for our loved one but once it moved beyond there to skilled nursing, this place looked good but once you start to look at the details the care is poor.

They have lost 4 executive directors in the past 2 years and the last one, gone since December, has not been replaced. They are on their 3rd physician group in the past year. They have lost receptionists, finance and marketing staff and activities staff. Highgate has not been monitoring response times to the call buttons. Our sister has to go to the nurses office to request assistance for a shower, and several times has either not been showered or showered alone, which she is not safe to do. The monthly activities sheet looks great, but in fact a lot of the activities listed are not done! The residents have been complaining for years about the poor Direct TV reception (analog), but despite the fact that the facility has WiFi the leadership has not pursued switching to a streaming company. Our sister is being overbilled and we have been unable to get this corrected despite multiple phone calls and emails. The physical plant is in sad shape: the dining room was closed multiple times this past year for repairs, the first floor activity room was closed for over 6 months due to leaks in the ceiling and substandard repairs, and the apartments lost heat for a few days this winter. We are actively looking for an alternative facility, which is sad since our sister has made friends here. Genesis leadership- you should be ashamed of your lack of attention to this once lovely place!!!

I have been a resident of Riddle Village for over six years. RV is a wonderful place to live. The…read moreadministration and staff bend over backwards to keep us happy and active. During Covid, the staff delivered warm meals to each apartment for more than a year. The President and VP during Covid went to WaWa each day in their car to pick up personal items for residents who could not go out. The meals here are restaurant quality. My spouse was in assisted living after returning from the hospital and he was given the best of care until he could return to independent living. I am baffled by the few negative comments. No place is perfect but Riddle Village goes above and beyond to make residents happy. RV also has a full time medical doctor on staff Monday through Friday. He is also the primary care physician for many residents in independent living. The President and VP are always available for comments and attend many of the activities and play in tournaments with the residents. They are seen on a daily basis all over our campus. The residents here are very friendly and kind and look out for each other. We are lucky to live here!!!!!!!!
