I can not say enough good things about this company. We had them sod almost our entire yard - front and back. We also had them do landscaping in our back yard. Kevin, the owner worked so hard to make sure we got plants that would survive a North Texas summer and also be non toxic to my four dogs. We went on vacation days after the job was done. He went above and beyond to check on the newly planted sod and landscaping. He would text us while we were on vacation to let us know if we needed to water more or less. (We have an app for our sprinkler system). He is polite, patient, honest, kind and professional. If he said his team would be there or do something, they were or did. He is simply a joy to work with. Many other business owners, including another contractor we had working at our home at the same time, could learn a lot from him. This company is our go to for ALL of our landscaping needs. I actually had an arboreal lawn worker speak quite poorly to me this morning when I was trying to move my car so they could access my gate. Things didn't end up as well as they began but it wasn't necessarily from a lack of effort on either side, just a difference in understanding of the services expected. Specifically, the quality of service continually declined and the yard was mowed in odd patterns, different heights, and left with piles of cut grass. Been using them for 1.5 yrs for ferritization service only and never really had an issues until today. I was home all day in the living room and went outside to find they put their yard sign in my lawn which tells me they "provided" service. Well, if they provided service then why did they not treat my backyard? I never saw anyone open my gate nor walk into my backyard to treat it. I called and they said they did and to check my cameras and they would provide me the time the crew was here. Well, as I stated I was home all day and yes they obviously did stop by and stuck their sign in my yard and might have treated the front yard but they never walked into my backyard to treat it. Since my yard was watered this morning, that area by the gate is always muddy and there are no foot prints in the mud which tells me nobody ever walked through the gate. Maybe they decided to just spray my yard over the fence! Oh well, Kevin never called to discuss the issue so cancelled my service. read more

Tired of switching countless companies for lawn maintenance and the occasional complete clean up. Was referred to Arboreal Lawn & Landscaping by various people around the Garland and Rowlett area including neighbors and friends. Not only do they do a good job consistently and on time, but they offer an amazing and competitive price. The owner is always on standby to answer calls for any questions, comments, or concerns. The staff is friendly, well trained, and courteous. They deserve a better rating on Yelp, and seem to be the best company in the area compared to Google's Reviews. Pet Owners - Do not use this service. I switched to this service on the promise that absent weather related events the lawn care team would show up the same day each week. This is important for anyone with a pet door so the pet may be secured inside. It is a pain when you've secured your pets from outside access for the day to come home and see your lawn care team did not show-up. When we first started service we would at least get a notice after 5pm on the same day they were supposed to show-up (animals confined to house for entire day for no reason) on when they would. However after two or three the notices just stopped coming. So when the Lawn Care team would show up because animals being unsecured they would only mow the front yard...and of course charge me the full price. I called in two weeks ago and left message with a human to cancel the service. They've still shown up for two weeks did the same 1/2 service and charged my card. Buyer Beware the communication at the company is not at all "As Advertised". Additionally, responding through their emails I requested quotes for once a month shrub trimming quotes and quote on inspecting irrigation and never heard back from them. I have just decided to do the service on my own at this point. What services provided minus above were done well. If you're not a pet owner with an outside doggy door then your experience might be a lot different. read more

I called these guys to do some landscape work and remove some dead rose bushes along a fence. It was tough work, on a hot day. Robert showed up on time and work extremely hard. He got everything that I needed done in his first visit. I was so impressed with him that I called back to have him do a little more work in another area and trim a palm tree in my back yard. All I can say is Robert is incredible! He is meticulous in his work and takes pride to ensure I am happy. I will be using them again in the future. I recently called Arboreal lawn service to get my yard sprayed for weeds. I spoke with Kevin and he explained how everything would work. He came out and sprayed the yard and killed all the weeds. A week later he came back out and put fertilizer down. My grass looks great now. I highly recommend using Arboreal lawn service. Very professional. We hired Arboreal to plant asian jasmine in front of bushes and under two trees in our front yard - to cover bare areas. While Kevin was there, I paced six feet out from one of the trees, to show him how far out to come - 6' out would cover the bare areas around each tree. I have a flower bed in front of our home as well, and he asked if the jasmine was to go there, and I said no. I came home the day they were doing the work and was shaking my head at the crew that was there. They had the jasmine in my flower bed and the area around the trees was 4' out. I called and talked to Kevin. He was telling me that I said 4', which totally defeated the purpose of planting the jasmine and also said I wanted it in my flower bed. We went back and forth on this. At one point he asked, "Do you know how big 6 ' will be?" Of course we did - it would cover the bare areas!!! The fact that he did not take onus to his mistake, bothered me more than the work not being done correctly. We thought his pricing included material for 6'. Now, to expand out to 6', it cost additional money, which we did not have at the time. Also, WITHIN 7 days of planting, I told him 4 of the plants died. His response wasn't, Sorry, I will bring replacements, but " Sorry about your plants." That was it. The work was corrected, but not taking responsibility for what went wrong and not replacing the plants, is the cause for the low rating. read more
