We had ArborPro come out and update/fix an irrigation system in summer 2022. We mostly interacted with Taylor. They appeared to be quite knowledgeable, opinionated, no-nonsense and professional and did their work, showing up on time for all appointments and work. They went over the work and what they were doing and, when hitting the inevitable snags, seemed to be transparent when describing the issues involved. In November and December 2022, we attempted to contact them. After at least seven attempts at communication via email, text messages, Mike responded. He said that Taylor had left the company and that they were short-handed (Dec 20 2022). Hopefully they can get some more employees soon. read more

The building department required an arborist report for trenching near Joshua Trees. ArborPro was out the next day and got me the report I needed. Very friendly on phone. Answered all my questions. Seemed pricey for the work involved, but I don't know the going rate. Their efficiency saved me from shopping around. Highly recommend. read more

My neighbor's trees had grown well across onto our property and dropped leaves everywhere. The trees weren't easily accessible from our side of the wall so they had to work on our neighbor's property. They were very professional in their handling of all the people involved and the tree trimming itself. They cleaned up both properties very well and hauled away all of the debris. Many, many, companies will give you a quote from pictures or a description. They generally low-ball, then once onsite, deliver the bad news of the additional charges. With Arbor Pro, they insisted on visiting the site in person to provide a quote. Most importantly, they honored that quote! I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. read more

These guys are amazing. They are true professionals in every way. My very productive grapefruit trees are old (probably 30 years) and had not been trimmed/cleaned in years. There was lots of growth in the center of the trees - plus lots of twigs from the prior many years of stems. Anyway they actually were surgeon-like on these trees - they climbed up in them to prune them! They saved the fruit and the blossoms for next year's crop. I'm pretty picky and I am totally impressed! Taylor, Skylar & Mike showed up on time, were very professional & did a beautiful job removing a small tree, trimming back a cactus & creosote bush & pruning & shaping a huge Palo Verde tree that was grossly overgrown. We had a couple of projects completed by ArborPro. The first was a removal of trees and creosote to clean up the yard. Quote was in person, work was scheduled in a timely manner and Taylor and her crew completed the project efficiently and cleanly. You could not tell there were plants there. Second was asking Taylor to design a landscape for the front of the house. She listened to our preferences, sent drawings and gave a reasonable quote. When they came to complete the install it was apparent that the boulders and plants were hand selected and that they have a love of plants. Can't say enough positive things about the experience. Mike came recommended to me as a "tree doctor" from the previous owner of my house. Mike had rescued a small mesquite tree on the property from dying of insect infestations. I was seeing a different tree that was ailing and gave Mike a call. So glad I did. Since then Mike and his team have been our go to specialists for treating a number of tree species in our yard for fungus and sun scald. Especially noteworthy is how respectfully the pruning is executed. We like a longer natural looking finish to our garden. What's so excellent is how earnestly Mike listened and how judiciously the cuts were made. The trees are all much cleaner and more beautiful. No harsh "hat rack" cuts. All 14 trees, of multiple species, look stellar. Working with professionals is like ArborPro is a privilege. I expect to work with no one else instead. read more

We have been working with Mike and his team for over 15 years. They have done everything from a complete landscape of our front yard, to trimming palm trees, to caring for our grapefruit tree. Mike and his team always show up on time and leave the job area looking great. Their pricing has been very reasonable for all work we have had done. We are planning to use him this fall for work to facilitate the moving of our pool light switch, which is currently in the middle of an area of grass and will need patching up. Mike Murphy, owner of Arbor Pro is a dishonest man. I hired him to remove a dead 40 ft. pine tree from a rental property and to grind the stump down. His bid for the entire job was $1,000. He did not properly finish the work after telling me in person at the property that "this will be all cleaned up." I trusted this personable man and gave him a $1,000 check so I wouldn't have to drive out a second time. He left behind huge piles of flammable dead pine needles. I tried to reach him by phone and text--no response. I will have to pay someone else to get rid of the mess he left behind. I learned a lesson--do not trust Mike Murphy to keep his word and do not pay him until the work is done properly. read more

OMG these guys did an awesome job! I had 4 huge trees (eucalyptus mostly) that have never been pruned correctly. They were very thick with branches which were starting to break off under their own weight. The team of 4 worked for a complete day and a half but got the tremendous job done! They look AMAZING now. They left the ground looking way better than they found it also which saved me loads of work! They were professional from the first minute to the last. I really wanted to give Mike 5 stars, or at least more than 2. He came out to look at our pine trees and palm trees. He really seems to know his business. I wrote him a check for $100.00, to which $50.00 was to go toward service. I wrote him a detailed email noting what he suggested and what we wanted to get done and how we could move forward. He said he was super busy and so I wanted to make it convenient for him. He suggested we remove a tree. Our HOA wanted to hear it from him. I called repeatedly, sent emails and my call was never returned and my email was never acknowledged. I would like to have a $50. refund since he did not hold up his end of the bargain. I needed two overgrown and dangerous cacti removed and another trimmed back. Mike was incredibly helpful and nice to work with. He responded to my inquiry extremely promptly and was able to help me immediately with the project. He offered some advice and expertise. He also was able to schedule the job for the very next day. Due to weather he was running a little late and he called me on two different phone lines to make sure that I got the message that he was running late. When he was here he was friendly, helpful, professional and thorough. He had quoted me a price (which I agreed to) but when he finished the project he realized it didn't take him as long as he thought it would and he offered me a reduced fee. Mike and his crew did an AWESOME job removing a jacaranda tree located in an enclosed area!!! Within 4 hours, they removed not only the tree manually (unable to get heavy equipment to the area) but also dug out the root ball and relaid the stone tiles. I have two very large eucalyptus trees that were in need of some serious trimming. Previous "tree trimmers" just lopped them off at the knuckles making them weak with the new growth.
