Not my first Partial Hospitalization experience. The other, 10 years ago, was kinder and gentler and less rigid. They are a for profit business, and as such conduct no patient satification evaluations. After 6 months, I am finally sharing here. I am a public health professional, with years using the mental health system. If I could report them to the MA DPH licensing body without sharing my name, I would. They use the "flip 'em and ship 'em" model of healthcare delivery. I found the Nurse Prescriber, who has an adminstrative role in the corporation disorganized and sarcastic. I found the Woburn Program Director unwilling to provide reasonable answers to reasonable questions regarding reimbursement issues. I found the rotating cast of licensed mental health counselors who put on psycho-education sessions ok and in some cases skilled, but they had no grasp of adult learning theory. The one on one sessions with your case worker lead no where, in terms of accessing appropriate follow up care with someplace other than them. Pe ople were well meaning, but not effective. The physical plant and location left a lot to be desired. Would never recommend anyone use the services of the corporate mental health provider, unless like me, it was the only place their insurance covered. read more

Don't go. Uncaring. People with disparate conditions lumped together. Therapists "cold" and inexperienced. Facility messy. Train right outside windows constant disturbance. read more

Staff kind enough but one of them is over excitable and unorganized to the point of having patients talk on the computer in an office to a doctor while they are clumsy with their own belongings under their desk then accusing patients of going through their things and calling the cops to interrogate the already depressed fragile patients that are there not for stealing or drugs. Totally unprofessional if you ask me and a great way to knock someone back who's trying to just make it alive to the end of the day. read more

Caring, qualified, compassionate staff provide therapy, counseling and support - for depression, anxiety and addiction. The partial hospitalization program provides a variety of counseling and behavioral therapies from multiple staff members. They separate participants into two groups - mental health and addictions. This way you're placed in a group with people facing similar issues. They provide tools, training and positive motivation that helps empower the participant. They also provide onsite clinic psych support for medication (optional). Friends and family highly recommended this program but I was hesitant with the lack of reviews. I feel I owe it to Arbour to let them and those in need know, that this program was excellent. Give it a chance, be open to the help. Insurance covers most. I don't know what the negative reviews are for but keep in mind, the folks in these programs have a variety of mental health and addiction problems. My only regret is not finding this place sooner for my loved one. It was truly life-changing and I've witnessed a transformation. Thank you all! read more

Counseling and mental illness is not easy to talk about and it is sad that our government and churches have dropped the ball as this covid 19 really brings the reality that basic needs are not being meet. The social distancing is not something new to me as I struggled being accepted in the workforce over 15 years ago and found myself at the Shattuck hospital after getting into arguments over housing issues that I felt were unfair. The hospital was a much worse environment lockdowns, meds, cleanliness, I found the same story unfolding again and the ones who kept claiming to have the answer didn't deliver and my efforts were not being recognized. Arbour counseling woburn nurse practitioner Erin Knight decided to allow me to not have to be in Boston for services, so while I still don't have the answers I feel I deserve or agree with high society, she used her authority to let me not feel like poverty is forever. As I am back in school now and studying I am learning that poverty isn't so much about changed circumstances as it is about being ready for change - it is one of those sayings in the textbooks that I may have benefited in knowing before I got in those fights. Beth Cullane from arbour is my therapist who encourages reading and changing scenery and she was also well aware of my desires for justice and a fair chance to fit in. I will continue to do my best at any job I am given right now its ups but I don't care so much about the outcome as I once did, now it is more about finding people who can cut through some of that red tape and pass on the contagious spirit of mercy even if everybody as to be on drugs and wear masks for the rest of their life. read more

The help I receive is great ..most of the time the staff is welcoming However the place is a pit ...it's dirty the bathroom is gross maybe that's not something I should complain about but it really bothers me Clean it up please !!!!! read more

THIS IS THE MOST HORRIFIC,AWFUL,MEAN,DISRESPECT, AND UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!!!! Up until 5/15/15 i was a patient abour counseling in Woburn MA. It was not a good experience. I was recommended to Arbour by my insurance company(neighborhood health ) after my primary doctor thought it Would be best as I had a break down due to severe. depression and anxiety, After days and days of calling and leaving messages for the intake department i finally got a call back. Then I was scheduled for an appointment 3 weeks out. Even though my primary doctor contacted them saying it was vital I be seen right away. when the big day of my appt finally arrives i go and there are security gaurds,maybe its just me but i thought this was weird. After checking in to see my psychiatrist i proceeded to wait and hour and 40 minutes. finally it was my turn,I didn't know what to expect but was told i would be there approx 90 minutes for an evaluation. We get to her office and I am asked "are you depressed "? "Yes,I am " "Are you suicidal?" "No, I am not " "do you sleep poorly or have anxiety?" "Yes,to both " After this i was handed 3 RXs,on of which i was already on. Then she said i was done to make a appointment in a month. So,I did. After that I met my therapist who asked what the DR thought my diagnosis was. Perplexed I explained I was there 10 minutes and repeated the question asked. The response i got was. "HMMM ". SO,this goes on about 8 months of different medications. out of 3 I am on only one works. When I mention my others don't work I am told "double the does " the end of last month my appointment was cancelled with the DR because she needed the day off,this was fine except i was low on meds,which i did mention. They ended up booking me 2 weeks out. WellThis past week was my appt.I missed my appointment due to an emergency with my child. By this time i was out of my pills and they do cause side effects when just stopped. i had severe nausea,dizziness and shakes. I simply called the office to ask if i could make an appointment or get a refill called in. Immediately I was told NO about and appointment,then told that my psych. would call me back. 3 days later,no call. I am still sick so i call. i was crying pleading ,not yelling or being rude and they hang up on me. my bf then calls back in hopes he may get further. They hang up on him too. Then i call back asking to speak with the office manager,i.am sent to voicemail. I am still waiting on a call back. I then call back and inform them I will not be coming back to please remove my info. i am told to call my therapist and again hung up on, Lastly one day while waiting the hour to b seen for 5 mins this elderly woman came in,seemed like she was drunk but instead of having security remove her Her DR made a scene in the waiting room screaming his patient is a drunk and he refuses to see her. I was shocked. Also after over year i still have never got a diagnosis. And at one point they had me on so much medications I got serotonin poisoning. please if for some reason you choose to go here please be safe read more
