Typically I don't write reviews. However, the process of our project was very poorly managed by ARC despite the reassurance that we would have a project manager. We never saw a project manager through the whole process. We had to manage through many issues and rework, from the wrong color siding being put on, to water coming in my kitchen from the roof not being wrapped correctly and nails sticking out of the roof. From the edging not being finished and siding that covered our cable to siding that was cut in corners for some reason to poor calking and beyond. We had to manage and call or email the issues at every step of the way because no one was here managing the project. The final straw was when they were here to finally fix the issues they were nailing siding into a wall and broke the tile in our bathroom. I asked for 1/2 of the $5K that I had paid to have my shower tiled since the tile was discontinued and it would be roughly $8K to have it redone today. I thought I was being fair, but this is what I got back: "Again, I apologize. It is not an excuse, but with the transition of some key employees things weren't managed correctly. I would be upset if I was in your position. I would have a hard time recommending ARC also. I did talk with management and we will discount $1,000 for the shower with the understanding there won't be a negative review left online. I don't expect a 5 star review online since you didn't' have a 5 star experience. Does that sound fair?" This is not a company that stands behind their work or their word. I would not recommend them as in a previous email I was told: "I am having a hard time to justify a $2,500 discount to my management for a few tiles that may have broken from siding installation." They MAY have broken? I'm lying? Thank you, but I loved my shower and now it looks horrible. But you can't buy a good review from me as that is not worth it to me. Shame on you ARC, I went with you despite you being more expensive than another company because of what you promised. Stand behind your word and your work. Very unhappy customer. After getting half a dozen estimates, we decided to go with ARC because they provided a detailed mid-range estimate. Boy, do we regret this decision to work with ARC. They tacked on additional charges for "additional" work without communicating (even though their contract says no additional work to be done without written agreement), their estimate was way off, and they put on the wrong siding size. At the end, the project costed ~25% more than originally estimated, which puts ARC way past the other estimates we received from other contractors. Rather than owning up to their mistakes, ARC only provided reasons why they're justified in tacking on the additional costs. Do yourself a favor and save yourself from a terrible experience by staying away from these crooks at ARC. The only good experience out of this situation was that their subcontracted workers (Juarez Construction) did a wonderful installation. The Juarez crew was also respectful, courteous, and pleasant to work with. read more

Just had a roof inspection: Ben was wonderful to talk to! Experienced, knowledgeable and told us that our roof still looked great and had years left on it! (It's 22 years old this year and I wanted to know for planning purposes how it was doing!) The inspection was quick, at no cost, and we couldn't be happier, knowing that we have a company we can trust for an honest assessment! The reason we called ARC, we used them about 3 years ago for a siding warranty/replacement job. We were also pleased with that whole process! From start to finish, they provided us with exceptional service and answered all questions--even giving us a *pdf overview of our home with all of the measurements, including the roof, siding, windows, gutters. If I could give less than one star I would! The crew that came to do my roof did there job..... BUT we have been fighting for returned phone calls, emails and repairs for 2 years now. there was some flashing skipped and now we have some leaking. (I know it's the flashing cause we had a roofing inspection) we have a warranty but yet have had anyone come out and fix the problem. Not to mention we paid for the flashing to be done when the roof was done! I have sent email after email and my husband had called so many time it's stupid. We are now looking at damage to new ceilings and drywall. And going to be paying again to have someone else fix it guess cause I'm not sure what else to do. This company only cares when your putting money in there hand. read more

Replaced our roof. Tore off the old one and got the new one on in a day and it looks great.

Fast talking swindlers. No one communicates with each other and they do not honor paperwork. I will be disputing the charges to my account via my bank as breech of contract and fraudulent. The receptionist could not answer my questions about the project, or if they needed me to provide a ladder or attic access. I made a consultation appointment with her anyway. Another person called me back to say the first one had no idea what she was talking about and didn't actually have access to the calendar. so she canceled and rescheduled my appointment. I did get someone out to look at the house. He was very chatty and helpful. When it came time to look at estimates and products, he was very fast talking and pushy. Offering discounts for scheduling earlier, which might push someone out of there spot, but oh well! He told me I could only get those estimated numbers if I put a deposit down. He gave me the 'cancel contract' form and stated I had 3 business days to cancel the contract and my check would not be cashed. I received an email that another person would actually be the project manager. So now I have 4 people i've talked to in a matter of days about this. I got estimates from a few other companies for far less. I called to cancel the contract and the receptionist told me to call or email the firs guy. I called and left a voice message. I signed the 'cancel contract' and emailed it to him and the main office. I got a call a day later from the project manager that they had scheduled me for the following Monday. I emailed him to inform him that I already canceled the contract. I have yet to receive an email or phone call confirming that they have canceled my project. They did cashed my check. read more

Madison came out to my house on May 21st to give me an estimate on roof repair from a tree that had fallen on my house. He made me sign a piece of paper stating that i'm agreeing to have them do the job so they aren't "wasting their time dealing with insurance and all that for me to go with a different contractor"...well since then I have called THREE times, each time the person answering the phone saying they are sending the info to Madison and he should call me back...well still haven't heard back from him. Now I've wasted 2.5 MONTHS of time hoping to get the ball rolling on this work, and now I'm back at ground zero to find a contractor to fix my roof. If they'd have just said they weren't interested in the job, I could have already had my roof done by now. read more

I paid 50% from ~5k contract, waited for 4 months to get the repair start date until it got cold and had to cancel the contract then. Besides that, for the money I paid I had to call them about 20 times to get at least approximate date of my roof repair. Every time on the phone I was told that I would certainly get a call back and it happened about 2 times out of ~10 calls. I got my down-payment back from my first request, but I've lost the opportunity to fix my roof during this year and I got no single sorry from them for that, just a silent check back to my mailing box. Terrible experience! Also, when you look for reviews for this company on other resources, take a look carefully. I'm not sure what that is but some people got very disappointed and they have a story like me or even worse, but all others mostly have a 5 stars review.. read more

We have a roof now, I guess I can say that much, only time will tell the quality of the work, though the quality of the workers has me a bit scared. Someone shows up to reassure you of work, then sends other people to do the job never to be seen again. The workers TRASHED out farm property, it really didn't seem like they attempted to put any loose plastic, including half of their lunches, in a trash can. Yet there was 2 giant dumpsters there. The siding is ripped away above and under the roofing shingles where the bottom if the roof hits the wall. So we HAVE to get siding done fast before rain starts getting in the giant exposed hole in the siding. 3 or 4 days if work costed nearly $25000 for a roof, and my ducks are choking on cigarette butts read more

Spend your time before spending your money - NOT a quality contractor. Very much regret dealing with them. We contracted to purchase our new windows from ARC one week before the home show at Brown Country Arena in February 2018. Met with the Sales rep at the home show to confirm the windows and when the install timing would be. Six of ten the windows were custom made. They had a rep come to the house to take measurements. The windows arrived in Mid April of 2018. The custom windows were all the wrong size - ALL six of the custom windows were too large and the frames had to be cut just to make them fit as they had already removed the old windows and broke two of them in the process. The installer said this would be temporary until they could re-measure and re-install the custom size windows. They did not "finish" the windows at that time because they would be removing them. They said it would take about 4-6 weeks. JUNE 2018, We finally get an update that the windows have been shipped. One week later, the day before scheduled install, a phone call, the wrong windows were on the truck so we will have to reschedule. Main living area of house looks terrible as windows are not finished, insulation/caulking is visible. Very poor job. JULY 2018 - Windows have arrived and are being installed. There is a flaw in the two large custom windows and the glass has large waves in it. Installer (not an ARC employee) calls the rep and says that the windows have to be re-ordered there is a quality issue. We hear nothing back from ARC for months and now the person we were dealing with has left the company (not surprised). December we finally get a hold of a manager and ask about our custom windows. They re-order the large windows and schedule install for March 2019. Again the glass is flawed and wavy. The rep had promised that they would have a Quality Check before they put the windows on the truck. Same installer as before, and again he confirmed there is a flaw in the glass. Again, we get the run around, and we have been calling for a few weeks trying to get a hold of someone. My husband has not gotten a returned phone call to get resolution. We are horrified at this treatment after we paid thousands of dollars for these windows. So much for a lifetime warranty, if they can't even get the products right in the first place! Also - While we had the cash to pay for the windows, ARC didn't allow us to pay them directly. WHAT?? We HAD to use a financing company to process payment. We paid the financing Co in full immediately, but could NOT pay ARC in cash. WHY??? Overall, this has been the WORST experience of dealing with a contractor. We have 50 more windows to go and I guarantee that we will not even consider ARC even if they beat their competitors pricing by half! Disgusted with the treatment. This process is going on 18 months of NOT getting quality windows and we are out the money. read more

He talked me into applying with their financing stating he hasn't seen anybody get declined. As you can guess I was declined. We signed our contract on 5/12/18 to have our roof replaced, new gutters and repairs made to our fascia including rotten wood under the damage fascia from a leaking gutter. Our roof could have went a few more years but we thought best to replace everything at once. It was a $19k project, a very large investment for us. We wanted the fascia/gutter work done for a graduation party which was about a month away. Our sales guy told us they should be done in about 2 weeks because they were 1 1/2 weeks out for scheduling. We made numerous follow-up calls in the following weeks but it was told they'd check and call us back, but no solid date set. Finally, in August we were contacted to have the roof done. The roof was done quickly once the job started and done to my satisfaction but I've seen straighter lines. While the roof was being done, I reminded the project manager that the fascia and wood repair was supposed have been done already but no dates had been set yet. Even though we asked multiple times to call first, the gutter guys showed up one morning sometime in September. We soon realized that the gutter color was wrong, the corners of the fascia were left in an unfinished condition including sharp untrimmed corners, and even worst the work to repair the wood had not been done - they just covered up with new fascia. ARC had a second crew come out to repair the rotten wood and said the first crew didn't do repairs like this, they only do gutters and the other crew should have come first. I thought it would be wasteful to replace all of the gutters because the color was wrong and took a concession for that mix up. The second crew came out and made the repairs to the wood and re-did the fascia that were left unfinished and shabby. They re-installed the gutters. After the fist rain we noticed leaking between the roof and gutter line and from an inner corner seam right above our patio door. I also noticed that at least two runs of gutters were tilted down from the gutter drain, so water would sit in the gutter after a rain instead of emptying out. The first crew was sent out again to fix the newly discovered issues. He was hostile and rude with my wife and blamed the issues on the second crew. He reset the pitch of the bad runs direct the water to the drain, he said they were extra steep so we won't have a problem with them. He sloppily smeared some silicon on the seams and called it a day. After a few weeks I got a hold of the project manager and I expressed my concerns with the previous crew and the quality of the work. I had since applied some flex steal to seal the gutters myself to rectify the still leaking gutter and added my own gutter toppers as leaves were beginning to fall. The project manager came over to confirm my complaints. He said the seams were not done correctly, that you can't just seal the seam from the outside you need to seal it in the inside of the seam. He could tell it was not done correctly. He said the gutters would need to be replaced to properly have them sealed. We talked about the pitch which wasn't as bad as I thought but the gutter still needed to be replaced. He ordered the gutters to have this section re-done and said it would be done in a couple of weeks. I removed my gutter toppers in preparation. The gutter guy finally called my wife to schedule an appointment. He made two appointments but did not show up for either. He then showed up without an appointment and was very rude and disrespectful to my wife. I called our project manager and asked for him to have the gutter guy vacant and have him only contact me so I could be present going forward or get someone else to finish the job. He said it would be done in a couple of weeks, however it wasn't and winter came early and work was not done in fall. This spring I waited to be contacted to get the job done. I called and reminded the project manager on 5/8/19 that I was still waiting for the job to be finished. He apologized and said we shouldn't have to deal with this. Told me if I didn't hear from him in two weeks to call him back for an update. I waited 3 to call back and I got more apologies and said on the following Monday he would get it figured out. I then got a voice message 17 days ago that he would be sitting down with his warranty manager to coordinate the replacement of the gutters on the following business day. I have heard nothing and have had enough. We really wish we would have never done business with Arc. I count my blessings that the roof at least went OK and pray that we don't have a warranty issues with it. I feel we've been more than patient. I highly advise that you avoid ARC and go with a more reputable contractor. read more

Husband and I were looking to replace all windows in a home we just bought. Sales person named Brian came out and gave us his sales pitch about what an upstanding company ARC is. At that time he he stated the interest rate on the window financing would be 4.9%. Well, a month and many phone calls later the interest rate mysteriously jumped to 11.9%. They would not honor their original interest rate. Also, we were told that they would not profit off of doing our windows. So the sales guy did his numbers wrong? They were doing 8 windows at $18,000!! If a company cannot profit off of an extremely inflated cost they shouldn't be in business! They tried to take advantage of new homeowners who are not experienced in window replacements. Their advertising pitch; "A is for accountable." Nope, they did not stand by the sales guys numbers. "R is for reliable." They cannot be relied upon to stick with what they say. "C is for committed to excellence." Excellence in what? Not in customer service and certainly not in standing by their word!! read more
