She is very talkative and keeps me company, which is good times flies by. When I come, I get a trim, a wash/dry and my hair straighten. What I dislike is that it's pretty small, and a bit crowded with all the hair supplies that's around. However, the good thing is that the staff is very friendly.

It freaks me out, I sit there anxious and 90% of the time I leave hating my hair (I get attached to the length.) Not at Barber Queen! Helena is fantastic and made me feel at home. The salon is very simple, warm, and welcoming. I got a wash and treatment done and the treatment she used worked better than any other I've had done, and it smelled great! Then it came time for the cut. Before she even looked at the scissors she was asking me what I wanted done, thoroughly checking that I was ok with home much was coming off, and making suggestions about layering. She even explained the difference different kinds of layers would make! Thorough out the cut she was constantly checking that I was happy with everything she was doing. Her assistant then blow dried it, she was so gentle I barely felt her brushing it! The experience was totally painless and I left loving my hair and feeling fabulous!

But after reading Ellia C's review, I thought I'd give them a go. I really wanted to find a hairdresser closer to home, and not have to pay exorbitant prices like some of the other salons around. I took a a chance on a Tuesday afternoon and walked in to the salon hoping they could do a hair cut. Helena came to my rescue! She's such a lovely, lovely person, and me me feel at home straight away. She talked to me at length about what I wanted done, and also listened when I complained about my previous bad experiences. She made me feel so comfortable, that I was happy for her to go ahead and cut a good 3-4 inches off my hair! My hair cut turned out WAY better than I expected, and I was so pleased with it. She also convinced me to get a semi-permanent colour through my hair as my hair was looking a bit 'tired'.. So glad she convinced me. My new 'do looked awesome. And the colour really refreshed my hair and made it look all nice and shiny and new :) Helena is awesome! I've been back again and had my hair cut just this week - went even shorter than last time (pixie cut) - and was comfortable and confident in Helena's skills that I just let her cut away. She's so thorough and just completely professional. We have a nice time chatting, that by the time she's finished the cut, I don't even realise that it's been at least a good 30 mins. Zoe is fantastic at cutting, colouring, styling and much more. She also does a wonderful service, with head massage and tea or coffee included with a cut and colour. Friendly, professional and great if you feel like a chat. Located at Tingalpa, Zoe has converted her garage into a professional, fully equipped hair salon with all the products and facilities of a large salon but including the comforts and personal service of a home-based business. If you are after a fantastic cut, with top notch service at great prices, I highly recommend Zoe.

The day to go when it's not super busy is a Tuesday, and they even do Botox there as well. For my style cut and foils with colour it was just over 80 dollars, 2.5 hours later. They are really god value and I am super happy with my hair, will definitely be back. The also do remedial massage.

I'd brought my other half's Granny to TMH Arana Plaza a few months ago and she raved about the service so I thought I would give it a try and see if they might be the one. I think we might be onto a winner! The staff are lovely and I was greeted and sat instantly with an offer of coffee or water. My stylist talked to me about my needs and took the time to quote pricing before even a snip had taken place. I also loved the touch of getting to fill out a questionnaire on my hair and beauty needs. It felt personal and like the business is invested in taking care of its customers. Plus there's a lot of upsell opportunities for them from taking the time to ask the question. Win win! Whilst not on the cheap side, I am really happy with my style and cut, and will definitely be back when I get my behind into gear to maintain my look.

I'm pretty sure it dates back to when I was a child, a hair dresser decided my also curly haired sister and I needed side burns. Yes side burns. On little girls. Screw you 80's. Anyway, long term scarring aside, I find it difficult to trust again so I was pretty cautious when I first visited Crow Hair on the recommendation of a friend. To start with the space and the staff are gorgeous. Hilarious owner (who is great at hair if you can get in to his busy schedule) and delightful girls who all seem to be stylish and talented and good at making frumps like me feel good. They are also very complimentary of my curl and never mention the tide mark of old colour invariably found in my locks, which is super polite of them. I walked out with straight hair (free, done as a challenge by the owner and probably not my best look - I looked like the love child of a real estate agent and a news anchor) but when I wet my hair I was relieved to see a really sensitive cut that kept my length but lifted weight off so my curl had a chance to, well, curl. Lots of great advice (I had no idea permanent colours contributed to breakage) and the prices are VERY reasonable compared to city salons. I'll go back within a much more sensible time frame I promise.

I went in on Wednesday and they were able to fit me in for an hour later for a cut. All the seats seem to always be full though so I think I was just lucky. The price was fantastic and way less than I was expecting. My only problem is that my haircut is so good that now I am TOO cute and it's affecting my life because I have too much self confidence now so I think maybe next time I'm going to ask for something uglier.
