As I progressed thru the subsequent 7 visits, I could feel significant improvement in my hips, back and spine. My flexibility improved and most of the tightness in my hips was gone. My PT gave me a full workout routine to continue to strengthen and stabilize my back. I'd 100% go back with any additional issues. Billing was fine, I got a comprehensive statement with breakdowns and insurance payments, and online payments were very easy.

There is simply NO WAY I would have made such rapid progress had I followed the surgeon's advice. Select PT is fully-equipped with every tool you can imagine. As a patient, I don't think I should be put in the middle of a disagreement between my physician and my therapist. Another concern was the lack of consistency in my care. I was treated by different therapists, and each seemed to have different opinions, different treatment plans, and different exercise recommendations. It was confusing and made it difficult to feel confident that everyone was working toward the same goals. I wasn't told when I scheduled I wouldn't just be with one therapist. In my past with different clinics I had always been seen by the same physical therapist throughout. The gold standard of care. I expected better communication, coordination, and respect for my care and physician's instructions. Patients benefit most when their healthcare providers work together rather than giving conflicting advice. I spoke with the owner and it seems they may be short on therapists and overbooked.

The care and treatment I received from the Physical therapist as well as the office manager was above exceptional. I received excellent care and treatment for the rehabilitation ofy shoulder after a slap tear fix and then car of my knee after having a repair done. The exercises taught in office and then done at home were successful in getting both shoulder and knee back to full use with in the 6 to 8 week treatment time . I feel that both are stronger then they were even pre surgery. .I was taught exercises to help stretch and strengthen the areas and feel they are easy to do at home which has allowed me to return to playing pickleball which was the goal.

I had to force the issue of effectively treating the situation and it still took them 10 days before they bothered to do the correct treatment that should have been done on postop day 2. This borders on malpractice. Secondly, when I was asked, I told them that I expected to be walking without a cane after surgery. I had been forced to use a cane for about 5-6 years prior to surgery due to safety concerns and the need to preserve what I could of being able to use the knee. My expectation of being able to walk normally was completely ignored. Instead, when I tried to walk without the cane, I was told to keep using the cane. This continued throughout my entire time in rehab. Somehow they thought that using the cane was going to help me be able to walk without it. Even I don't think that's right!! This means that I couldn't really walk when they decided to dismiss me from their care. They didn't care about getting to the correct place; all they cared about was that I could stand and waddle around a little with the cane. That is not good rehabilitation. It is coming up on a year since my surgery and I still cannot walk normally because they never appropriately addressed the problems in my hips that were caused by the use of the cane. Basically they expected me to figure it out on my own. I am going to have to go to a different doctor (not one who is part owner of this facility) and a different PT place in order to get proper medical care. I find that disgusting. I will never recommend this PT facility to anyone. At this point I am unsure if I will ever be able to return to my sport. They do not care about performance. Do they even know what that word means? They only care about money.

The first time, I was sent there by my Dr. This time, I was given a choice of several places and I chose to go to SERC....and they weren't even on the list! Nate is AMAZING! He takes the time to really find the spots that need to be worked on, and is the only person who can pop my back in the middle! Also, a couple of years ago, my son needed PT and Jack was his therapist. She really took the time to make sure he knew what to do at home and helped him to heal the right way. All in all....I would recommend SERC to anyone needing physical therapy!

I showed up a bit early and Sydney (my Occupational Therapist) was already there expecting me. She was very patient and helpful in finding the right one for me at the lowest possible cost. She also made sure I knew how to take the splint off. She also took time to explain how my injury was healing, so that I knew why I had to have the splint on 100% of the time over the next few weeks. The benefits coordinator (?) Sarah was also great, she had to stay on the phone with the insurance company while helping another patient check in as she came in. No one wishes to have to have PT or OT, but if you do, then SERC is the place to ensure a positive experience for you.

Basically they did not file a claim within one year, so it was denied by the insurance company. In turn they are billing me for their untimely filing. I attempted to the owner Scott. He picked up the phone and started ranting about all the insurance people he has to deal with. He would not let me get a word in edgewise. He then hung up on me. Not a professional way to conduct business.

Jenna, and the team at PAM Overland Park put together a customized plan for onsite and at home treatment for me to follow. I was assigned a different Physical Therapist assigned for my treatment at each of my first 3 or 4 in-office PT sessions. While I initially had some concerns with continuity-of-care with this approach, it turned out to be a great program to match the best Physical Therapist to my care and recovery plan.
