What could be better to eat on a sweltering day than good ol' ice cream? From my very first spoonful of Arce Dairy ice cream, I knew something was different. The mango, now my favorite flavor from Arce, tasted so different from the other local brands that I was used to, creamier and richer by far. This is because Arce Dairy uses fresh carabao's milk in their ingredients, which sets them apart from their competitors.
Aside from the mango, one of the desserts that OFWs crave when they return to Manila is Arce's macapuno ice cream. With coconut bits and chunks, plus a perfect consistency to the ice cream, their macapuno tastes absolutely divine. In my wildest dreams, heaven would be made of macapuno clouds that I can eat from.
Surprisingly, the only flavor I don't particularly enjoy from Arce is their chocolate because it's almost too rich.
Popping up in places like Shangri-la and Katipunan, Arce has a lot of stalls scattered around Manila where you can have a scoop on a cone to go, but if you're too addicted to their ice cream like I am, I urge you to buy an entire gallon from your local grocery store. Do it for ice cream. read more
