Each time I've taken the classes here, they've been informative and straight forward. The instructors are always welcoming and knowledgeable. They welcome questions and do well explaining situations and procedure alongside the training videos. The classes are easy to sign up for and have plenty of availability. The classes are about 4 or so hours long, with a few breaks in between which is nice. It's always nice to see folks taking these classes simply because they're into being outdoors where much of this comes in handy. I do leave each of these classes feeling more confident about helping someone potentially in need.

This was the best by far. Julian was a fantastic and energizing instructor. Warm, engaging, and very clear in how he presented the material. The time moved quickly, which says a lot. What stood out to me was how practical and relevant the training felt. We covered real-world situations, including opioids and especially fentanyl, which is critical knowledge today. I have been going to CPR Seattle for a number of years and highly recommend them. Grateful for a strong refresher and training that matters.

I lean on the side of attachment parenting, and the owner was very direct in telling me what I was doing wrong according to her standards, purporting my 9 month old child was crying because she was always hungry. This is simply not the case - she's actually above average in weight and 100% healthy according to our pediatrician. She is a voracious and happy eater, though she has never been a good bottle feeder, which I told the owner from the onset. The owner proceeded to show me how she would feed her. She placed the plastic bottle into boiling water on the stove, which seemed dangerous. We use a bottle warmer at home and warm food and milk in a glass bottle, then transfer it to the plastic bottle once it has cooled. She then swaddled our daughter in a fleece blanket (at 9 months!), and force fed her a bottle. My daughter was screaming and purple in the face. It was quite traumatic for me. I told her we never feed her that way. She is fed calmly in a high chair or seated on the floor, her arms free so that she can either push food away or take part in feeding herself. Moreover, she was practically choking on the milk being fed by the owner because she was crying so hard, and the owner just kept on feeding her. My partner had to restrain me from lunging at the owner. I finally told her that was enough after a minute or two of this. It appears just the owner and her husband are watching the children - no other caretakers from what I understood, and there are infants, toddlers and preschoolers in the daycare. While I understand a daycare has to stick to some sort of protocol for feeding and napping, I was quite frustrated and disappointed in her lack of willingness to get to know my child and meet her needs with gentleness. I cannot imagine leaving my child in her care. She seems quite obstinate in her methodology for child care, and either unwilling or unable to adapt her care to fit different children.

I came for an appointment for my first aid skills test for 2 pm. No zoom link or confirmation of my appointment. I contacted them and no response. I waited until 2:30 in which then the receptionist called them for me at 2:30 and was able to connect with someone who said that my appointment was actually for 3 pm and they will contact me very soon. 10 mins go by and no communication from them, I call them and they told me that my appointment is actually for 3 pm and they never got any of my messages and they will get someone on the zoom right away. Weird because the actual 3 pm appointment came in. Also weird that if they never got my emails, how did they get 3 pm from the original 10am? I did not want to interfere with the original 3 pm's appointment so I left and I was able to get a refund but the way this company communicates with others is incredibly disrespectful of other people's times.

They were nice enough to ask if I could come back later and since it was less than two hours I thought I'd go eat lunch and come back. On top of taking over an hour to even see anyone (the woman ahead of me decided to leave which I wish I had done as well), I finally had someone come start the process with me. After going through the standard questions and tests, he started getting setup to draw blood. I mentioned that I'm not great with needles and to please go with one of the big veins so he didn't spend too long fishing around, which he brushed off. He proceeded to fish around in one arm for several minutes which was an extremely unpleasant experience, eventually deciding that he needed to try the other arm instead. Another 10 minutes later, we started on the other arm which ended with the exact same result, followed by the declaration that he's only allowed to try twice in a day per patient, and that I needed to reschedule to come back tomorrow. Now I'm leaving with bandages on both arms and a new lifetime phobia unlocked. Stay away from this location!
