The teachers are amazing here! I've had children in this school for over the last ten years and I…read moremust say that they have the best teachers and staff ever. But that's where the good ends. The principal is unfriendly, rude and needs to retire. She treats the students as if they are in prison and parents even worse. The kids are not allowed to speak at all at lunchtime and until recently were never allowed recess, which is still just occasional. In all the years I've had children there, they have had a yearbook 2, maybe 3 years, now the principal refuses to have one. Over the past few years she has also stopped any and all fun student activities. They have no fall fest, spring fest, or any fun activities for the students and their parents. Parents are not allowed to attend any class parties (christmas,Easter,etc..) if they even have them. She does not want parents involved in any way and even took away the PTO. The only thing they actually do for the kids is allow a"dress down day" every Friday for a dollar and sell ice cream at lunch. I would really love to know what the money from "dress down day" goes toward, since we know it does not go toward the children!! It's unfortunate for the children who attend this school as they will make very few, if any, happy memories here. While I am grateful for the teachers and education here, I strongly believe a school should be more than that.

ANd when visitors from other schools come, they threaten us with infractions, which is a form of a write up, and they have food that has no seasoning, they just probably use water.

The administrators and educators go above and beyond at this campus; students are shaped into the best versions of themselves through the guidance, discipline, and mentorship provided. Our family transferred to JCCS from the N.O. Catholic School System and I am in awe of the superior classroom experience provided to my children here (e.g. a Science Curriculum that not only included dissection but also a skill set of over a half dozen different types of medical stitches that were instructor demonstrated, student shadowed, then proficiency tested...WOW; and is your 7th grader being taught History by a published author? This particular instructor managed to not only capture the attention of my ADHD son, but he imparted knowledge that was carried, with I dare say, excitement back home.) The Curtis Family leads by example, they are personable, professional, and accessible to their students and parents; to be welcomed into their community by The All-Time Most Winningest Coach in high school football history was both humbling and inspiring, as he is the most genuine human being I have had both the privilege and pleasure of meeting. There is a winning attitude that is ever present and contagious, and the love, respect and support is not only shown by the faculty and staff but is also seen by the respect shown amongst their students. GO PATRIOTS!!
