I searched in yelp and couldn't find anything, but as I drove near my parents home I spotted this park. I know that Salinas has a few sunny days during the year, and a park doesn't really sound like a place to be on those overcast days, but for those particularly nice days or for those who don't mind the cold. I was so lucky to have found this location. There is so much this place has to offer, you have a section just for toddlers and another for school age children. Large grass area where kids come and play ball. It's located next to an elementary school and the area is really nice and calm, not too much car traffic. My son had a wonderful time here. This is going to be his park to go to when visiting his grampies :)

Avoid the side trails near the restroom closest to Reservation Road. Losers let their dogs crap and they don't pick it up and the weeds are overgrown. Otherwise, the roughly 0.75 mile loop around the park is generally flat and nice on decomposed granite. I loved the signage that encourages parents to let their children explore and share with their parents. Signs in English and Spanish. There's a pond but it's severely overgrown by marsh vegetation so it wasn't recognizable as a pond but looked like a marsh. Playground seemed cool. There's a grassy and partially shaded area near the playground at the end of the street off Reservation Road.

In the past year a flock of crows, not sure that is what it is called, nests here. Hundreds of crows in the trees and hang out on the surrounding roads, so watch out! They're very loud and I am so happy they are no where near my apartment. A path was open that normally had been overgrown and it was cool to walk into the marsh sort of. I was a bit creeped out but, I kept my eyes open and took a short video. From inside this short pathway you could have a peace and quiet moment with the surrounding black birds and sort feel as if you were somewhere else. The park itself is not large and the bathroom is always closed, but, it is a gorgeous little gem in Marina for a quick walk. Cheers and happy Yelping.

There isn't any water or dog bags, but there are garbages and a shovel. I believe last time we went there were bowls too. The only issue I have is that you have to park across the street and walk down a "hill" which can be difficult with a double stroller and two ding dong dogs. ' Another thing -- my gps took me to the wrong area the first time so I had a really difficult time finding this place.

Dogs are not allowed, so there is only a few deer poops to contend with in the grass. There is also several large picnic tables throughout the park, so you can bring a lunch or sit and enjoy a coffee while the kiddos play in the play area. They also have small restrooms on site that are in reasonably clean condition. This park is only a block walk from a local coffee shop, or you can walk about two blocks in the opposite direction and be at Lover's Point. Bring a jacket though, as the proximity to the water can deliver some chiller winds when the marine layer is moving in/out.

This park was ok, but I probably won't come back; the beach is just too close to use this park again.

This is a brand new dog park in a nice area near the hotel we were staying at this week so we…read morestopped here to try it out. Because it's new, the fencing and tables and landscaping are all in good condition. But this park is lacking a lot. The first thing we noticed when we entered is that the gates do not latch, they are push gates. This is very unsafe as large dogs could easily push through and then let other dogs out. They are also slow closing gates which allows the dogs more time to run in and out. The park is on the corner and there is street traffic. This should be remedied immediately for the safety of all dogs using this park. Second, this park had no water available for the dogs! No water bowls, no hose or pools, not even a spigot to run water out of people who had their own receptacles with them. There is zero water available. I don't understand how a dog park gets built with no water station. The park is entirely sand and cement and while sand may possibly be better for some larger breeds joints, it is a very poor material to choose for a dog park. Sand holds in heat and can burn dogs paws on a hot day . It also holds bacteria . For us, it was noticeably messy and is definitely not good for dogs and people prone to slipping. While we were visiting the park, someone from an animal rescue dropped off about a dozen used balls and a frisbee. While that seems more like dumping to me, I hope it's an indicator that the community likes this park and that it will be used and treasured and in that spirit, I hope that they will come together to remedy some of the issues that the designers clearly did not care enough to think through or address. As aesthetically lovely as the park looks, we would definitely not bring our pup back here.

For a county park this is a good, single section, "all dog" park. It has a good double gate, water, bags for dog cleanup, and a trash can. Parking is good, and the location is away from the main roads which is always a plus. It has one big tree for shade, and a child's playground nearby. The tractor gate (single gate that is extra wide for tractors) is locked (as it should be). Bathrooms are nearby, and scenery is fantastic. The local Spreckles Boy Scouts did a great job! We visited on 3 April 2024, a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Others were here before we popped in. Will come here again.
