Prices were what you can expect from a smaller book store, nothing incredibly expensive and overall a good deal. They also had a pile of books by the door that were completely free, which I thought was a great idea. Definitely a great place to stop by if you're looking for a new read!

They've carefully curating a wide variety of stories, accumulated so many sweet little goodies & knick knacks, & built a wonderful, irreplaceable community in Providence. They put a LOT of effort into highlighting BIPOC & queer authors in their collection. The range of genres & narratives - especially considering the tiny size of the store - is a masterclass in diverse inventory. The very best thing about Heartleaf, though, is the manager. She alone is worth a visit to the store. If she's napping, it's a cardinal sin to disturb her. You'll just have to come back another time to give her a scratch behind the ears. (Penny is the manager. My husband mentioned that the shopping center was literally created for just me because it has a lot of my favorite shops in the same center. Extremely friendly employees that helped my husband find the medical books that he was looking for and my sons all found something that they wanted. I will probably go back to buy some calligraphy pens that I saw. I'm just an amazing vibe all around. They had some great deals on some books and other items I bought my husband some posts that said number one Dad on it. I love that there's a place for you to get coffee so that you can sit there and enjoy some coffee while shopping around.

There's a book club once a month. The owner is a funny lady and the best laid back professional you could encounter. My son grabbed some Harry Potter books. I donated some old books. There is also going to be a family game night coming soon if it hasn't started already. It is just an adorable space to spend some time in and I'd recommend it for any and all book nerds alike.
