Just a remark about bad service. Went over there to get gas and a scratcher. I accidentally picked a $2 scratcher and wanted the $40 one. The lady behind the counter said I cannot cancel this sell. I said sure you can. She was coping an attitude. I said, look, I know how lotto works, I used to have a store that sold lotto. The only items you do cannot refund/cancel are MEGA and POWERBALL. She kept saying she couldn't cancel. Wasn't dealing with it. I said, thank you, you can just cancel everything. She said "Ok". See, she could of cancelled it if she wanted to. This Arco is my stop when I'm coming back from my Tijuana and Ensenada excursions. Located off the 805 freeway a few miles north or San Ysidro, it is conveniently located and offers my much needed caffeine boost. The gas station's convenience store is open 24/7, have open and clean restrooms, friendly staff, and a wide variety of snacks and refreshments. I usually opt for a Monster energy drink to carry me back home to Los Angeles. The surrounding neighborhood is pretty nice, no trouble makers around. But last week, we went in to purchase some gas , etc. and witnessed a very rude female employee we think her name was Darlene. She ruined our experience. And sorry to say we will never go back it just hit us in a funny way. She had a very bad attitude towards people that were in there in front of us. And we don't know what the hell she was thinking but she thought her crap didn't stink. Came here for a second attempt to get free food. I didn't want to claim my free food anymore. I'm just tired of dealing with rude cashiers which I know they hate giving away free food. I understand that they lose business but why even have an application on your iPhone for winning free food and drinks?! It just doesn't make sense! This location is right off of Palm Ave off the 805 freeway so it's easy to find. There's also a gas station adjacent to the food mart which you can grab drinks, snacks and last minute items you may need on the road. I saw a lot of people coming out with drinks and snacks especially hubby. Free is free! Why not take the opportunity to get free food? I typically gas up (paying cash) without going inside so I can't review much here. They're typically not packed and are conveniently located near the 805 N&S freeway exits. Prices are comparable and of course always cheaper than Chevron, which is in the plaza across the street near Vons. I'll be back I'm sure. Lots of pumps. I think there is a motorcycle club that meets here occasionally on Saturday mornings. The bike are nice to look at. The bikers mind their own business, and I mind mine :-) read more

I usually just stop in here for snack items and drinks when I do not want to go anywhere else. Options are the usual am pm items like soda and hot dogs. You can sometimes get a deal on soda with the buy 2 for the lower cost than just buying 1. Hot dogs are OK but you can top them off anyway you want them which is nice. The inside could use a little cleaning but its your average AM PM gas station. read more

Garbage! -No credit cards accepted, at the pump OR inside. -You have to use your debit card - an extra 45 cent charge for that. -Debit card was denied at the pump, so I had to go inside. -Debit card did not work inside either. (Have plenty of funds, use it all the time. I hear NavyFed debit cards don't work some places. This is one of them.) -If you don't have cash you can pay $2.50 at the ATM to get some. Horrible customer service!! I use a pre paid gas card. My daughter went inside and paid $30 and went to her pump and the pump wasn't working. She went back inside and the lady Ana told her she can't cancel the transaction to call the arco card. I called the arco card and they said the store manager was suppose to cancel the transaction. I called arco and Ana answered when I explained the reason for my call she said "I can't hear you" and hung up. When I showed up she refused to help me...I'm super pissed that they took $30 from my arco card and refused to give the money back!! read more

This arco station sucks!!!! I am diabetic and taking a road trip and needed just a little bit of ice to keep my insulin cold and they would not let me take some ice from the machine like all the other arco stations have done in the past. I had to buy a whole bag of ice that was wasted because I only needed a little bit. The chick there actually both of them were rude about it too. What lousy service and treatment. I only visit this location when I am pressed for time, I hate that scam they have that you can't use credit when purchasing inside the store. You can however use the atm machine or purchase using your debit card. If you use debit you cannot get cash back you have to use the atm to get cash back wtf? I used to come here and fill up my water bottle with ice water before work until one of the employees decided to charge me for water wtf it's my own cup? I stopped for gas after picking up my sick 2 year old from her grandparents house. They no longer have where you can pay with cash at the pumps so I took her out of her car seat and got in line. My daughter began to heave so I ran with her to the back where there were cups and gave it to her to throw up in. I got back in line. When I got to the teller, my daughter again began to heave (thank goodness for the cup. I gave the lady my 20.00 and told her the gas pump number...I was shocked when she told me I needed to ou for the cup in my baby's hand ... I paid for it and walked out to my truck after pumping my gas I had to go back in and ask for the managers name and number I wanted him to know how inconsiderate she was I mean I could have just let her throw up on the floor and she would have had to clean it up... The man at the register asked why and quickly got the girl to come back to the register and told her to refund my money. Over and over she said I had to pay the 2.00 ( for a cup) it was policy.
