The employees don't give off the impression of being the sharpest knives in the drawer. There's an old guy who is a cashier, and he's slower than a turtle, many times causing the line to back up in the store. He blames the registers and becomes visibly agitated over it. We all stand there forever, bored in that awkward silence, listening to him complain about the registers and whatever is malfunctioning. Another one has no knowledge of cigarettes, brands of them, or even packaging. If you're going to sell something, you should know what it is and where to find it in the display. Not rocket science, but efficiency. The one who doesn't understand cigarettes pumped my gas last night. When I pulled in, there were two other cars, together at the pumps. I pulled to the outer one, and waited forever. At least it seemed like forever. I knew the attendant was outside, as I heard him finishing up with one of the two customers. He finishes the second one, and walks back into the store! Totally ignoring me. If my car wasn't totally empty and on fumes, I would've left. It was that rude and annoying. So he comes back out, I said I thought you forgot about me. He says, yeah. I didn't even see you pull in or sitting there. Really?! It's your damn job! When he was done, he just says, bye! I'm like, I need a receipt. Nope, he's half way back to the store. I was not impressed. Will I return? Ehh, maybe. I stopped here on my way to work, as I desperately needed gas last night. It's definitely not my first choice for stations, but the ones I like aren't open 24 hours. So this is kind of my last resort when I have to go to work. But if I have the choice, I'll go somewhere else.

I was SO not impressed with this gas station. AT ALL. In fact, as I was driving away, after getting…read moremy car's tank filled up, I passed an ARCO gas station just a block away, and the price per gallon was 30 cents cheaper than this Chevron, and I was kicking myself for a LONG time that I didn't go to this ARCO instead. Here's my Chevron experience: I pulled up to the pump after seeing the prominent sign "FULL SERVICE", explaining to my kid that this is how gas stations USED to be: someone would literally service your car (filling the gas tank, washing the windshield, checking the fluids and tire pressure, usually be friendly and chat a little, and life used to be great, not having to even get out of your car for gas. I noted that nowadays, you have to pay more for this service, but it's nice, and since we're on vaca, it'd be nice to be pampered in this little way). Well, you see where this is going.... This didn't happen here. Quite the contrary, actually. A grizzled lady (I use the term loosely) eventually came to our car. I popped the gas cap open and asked her to please fill up the tank with $20 worth of gas, and I handed her a $20 bill. No change was needed, I just wanted $20 of gas. She refused my money, saying she couldn't take it, that I would have to bring it inside to the station myself to pay. I'm thinking, wth? What kind of crappy "full service" station is this???? Luckily it was nice out (if it were raining, I'd be ticked. Actually, I'd probably just leave), and I ran inside to give the surly counter-guy my $20 bill and tell him what pump I was at. (No "thank you" or smile from him at all. No eye contact, even). Back at the pump, the grizzled lady (if you saw her, you'd understand), filled my tank and walked away. No talking, no checking oil or tires, no washing the windshield, nada. So why on earth did I pay an extra 30 cents a gallon? Never again, that's for sure!

Waited in line for 5 minutes to pay and then asked the cashier where the gas attendant is, he responded "he is busy doing other things". Next time I will go somewhere else. It was cold and I did not feel well, and I wanted my gas pumped for me so I could remain in the car. If I wanted to pump it myself I would have pulled into "Self Serve"

I go in and pay 50$ for gas this was about 11:30am the attendant was pumping gas! After paying I went out and he was gone! I waited a full 15minutes! Called inside only to be told the manager was having him Weed Wack? Seriously the Full service had 6 people waiting and nobody was taking care of customers at all because the attendant was WAKING WEEDS? Last week I pulled in around 1pm paid 30$ went back out and again he was gone?? There was a line of cars and with 6 in full service! Today 5/27 at approximately 3:30 3:45 I went in purchased 20$ of gas and proceeded to wait AGAIN the attendant had disappeared again! While waiting another customer on the other side of pump1 asked if I had seen the attendant that she had been waiting for some time even before I pulled in? Note: I had pulled into pump 1 in full service and 2 other vehicles pulled in behind me! While waiting a car approached wanting to pull into pump 1 at this point I had not yet received my gas! I motioned to the pump and said I am waiting for my gas! This lady became frustrated and kept telling me to pull into a parking place this went on for some time as she became angrier! I finally yelled out that I am waiting for my gas! By this time at least 10minutes had gone by and she did not give up ** again I yelled that I was waiting for my gas** as once again I called inside (pretty sure the person that answered thought I was yelling at him!), THIS IS REDICULOUS PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME! Finally, as someone from inside came out to help pump my gas the attendant turned up again. Customer neglect is resulting in ANGRY Customers! Another customer becoming angry at me and insisting that I pull away and go park! Is unacceptable BOTTOM LINE THE FAULT LIES WITH AM/PM STAFF. Who knows why she was so upset and insistent that I pull into a parking spot! Maybe she had an emergency? Either way this should not of happened! WHEN THE ATTENDANT IS ON BREAK, SMOKING A CIGARETT, WACKING WEEDS. 1 OF THE 3 PEOPLE INSIDE SHOULD BE OUT TAKING CARE OF CUSTOMERS!

This stop was that for me, despite the fact that I didn't even leave my car. I've come to appreciate so many more things since this pandemic began, and not pumping my gas is one of them. As I pulled off of I-5 and into this station, the pride in ownership was apparent. Not only was it clean, but there were beautiful planters between the pumps. Quite the change from the typical overflowing trash cans and squeegee in a dirty bucket of window wash. The pump attendant was busy but rushed over to greet us as soon as he was free. "$10 Regular please" I said as I handed over the bill. He ran inside to deliver the funds and request they start the pump (some stations require you to go inside to pay). I took in the beauty of the mountains that lie just beyond the sign and golden arches as I waited. This station also had a McDonald's attached. Before we knew it, the pump clicked and we were on our way with well wishes to "Have a nice day!", from the nice gentleman working the pumps. Perhaps it's the fact that I've been so reclusive, or the year 2020 in general, but I certainly find myself valuing kindness and (socially distanced) human interaction more than ever these days!
