This isn't my favorite gas station on the planet, but given they are open 24 hours, sometimes it just works. The employees don't give off the impression of being the sharpest knives in the drawer. There's an old guy who is a cashier, and he's slower than a turtle, many times causing the line to back up in the store. He blames the registers and becomes visibly agitated over it. We all stand there forever, bored in that awkward silence, listening to him complain about the registers and whatever is malfunctioning. Another one has no knowledge of cigarettes, brands of them, or even packaging. If you're going to sell something, you should know what it is and where to find it in the display. Not rocket science, but efficiency. The one who doesn't understand cigarettes pumped my gas last night. When I pulled in, there were two other cars, together at the pumps. I pulled to the outer one, and waited forever. At least it seemed like forever. I knew the attendant was outside, as I heard him finishing up with one of the two customers. He finishes the second one, and walks back into the store! Totally ignoring me. If my car wasn't totally empty and on fumes, I would've left. It was that rude and annoying. So he comes back out, I said I thought you forgot about me. He says, yeah. I didn't even see you pull in or sitting there. Really?! It's your damn job! When he was done, he just says, bye! I'm like, I need a receipt. Nope, he's half way back to the store. I was not impressed. Will I return? Ehh, maybe. I stopped here on my way to work, as I desperately needed gas last night. It's definitely not my first choice for stations, but the ones I like aren't open 24 hours. So this is kind of my last resort when I have to go to work. But if I have the choice, I'll go somewhere else. read more

I was SO not impressed with this gas station. AT ALL. In fact, as I was driving away, after getting my car's tank filled up, I passed an ARCO gas station just a block away, and the price per gallon was 30 cents cheaper than this Chevron, and I was kicking myself for a LONG time that I didn't go to this ARCO instead. Here's my Chevron experience: I pulled up to the pump after seeing the prominent sign "FULL SERVICE", explaining to my kid that this is how gas stations USED to be: someone would literally service your car (filling the gas tank, washing the windshield, checking the fluids and tire pressure, usually be friendly and chat a little, and life used to be great, not having to even get out of your car for gas. I noted that nowadays, you have to pay more for this service, but it's nice, and since we're on vaca, it'd be nice to be pampered in this little way). Well, you see where this is going.... This didn't happen here. Quite the contrary, actually. A grizzled lady (I use the term loosely) eventually came to our car. I popped the gas cap open and asked her to please fill up the tank with $20 worth of gas, and I handed her a $20 bill. No change was needed, I just wanted $20 of gas. She refused my money, saying she couldn't take it, that I would have to bring it inside to the station myself to pay. I'm thinking, wth? What kind of crappy "full service" station is this???? Luckily it was nice out (if it were raining, I'd be ticked. Actually, I'd probably just leave), and I ran inside to give the surly counter-guy my $20 bill and tell him what pump I was at. (No "thank you" or smile from him at all. No eye contact, even). Back at the pump, the grizzled lady (if you saw her, you'd understand), filled my tank and walked away. No talking, no checking oil or tires, no washing the windshield, nada. So why on earth did I pay an extra 30 cents a gallon? Never again, that's for sure! read more

Went here to get a tank of diesel for my truck. Used Amex. Bill came to $95.55 but this has station charged $200. I asked the attendant why this happened. She didn't know. Spoke to the guy inside. "Oh, it's a hold." For what?? "You should get the difference back." Should? I call it theft. You lost my business Chevron. Never again. read more

Overall, this gas station was a good visit. The gas 10 was friendly, the mini mart attendant was smiling when I walked in the door, and they gas service was good. One area that could use a little help, is the bathroom cleanliness. The overall bathroom is clean but the toilet bowls could've use some help! UPDATE 1/2016: still happy with this spot! On 9/12/2015 around 1:30pm, we decided to stop at Jackson #12 AKA Chevron on Gateway to get gas & have the oil checked. We asked the attendant if he would please check the oil. The attendant told us per state law he was not allowed to check the oil. Apparently that law must include not washing the windshield, checking water, nor other services - even if you're handicapped. We stopped at another iservice station in Oregon & inquired about this state law prohibiting checking the oil. As this nice young man washed our windows he explained there was no such State law. In fact if you are handicap by law they are suppose to provide those PREFER UNCARING, NON-TRUTHFUL NO-SERVICE-ATTENDANT SERVICE, THEN GO TO GATEWAY CHEVRON. Me - from now on I'm taking my business somewhere else. read more

I got fuel at "Gateway Chevron & Food Mart" (a.k.a. Jackson's store #112) in Springfield, OR on 8/16/2012. My R.V. "The Black Pearl" takes diesel. The price that day was $4.19 per gallon. In Oregon they pump your gas. read more

The service at Chevron was phenomenal thanks to an employee name Lincoln! Nicest and most efficient gas attendant I've been had contact with...possibly ever. this young man Went above and beyond and made me see how poorly other employees, even at the same establishment, treat their customers. read more

I'm not Happy with this place , I come in here all the time for refills on my Pop , & sometimes buy other expensive Items & gas , & my refills never go over .99 cents , & this morning I get told by this Blond Jared clerk , I never even seen here before that it's a 1.29 , & me beeing on a tight budget only had .99 cents Wich was wat I was told he argued with me & said it was a 1.29 , my Dad was a buisness man who owned several buisnes's including a restaurant , my Dad would always say , the Customer is always right , & not too argue with the Customer , well call me old fashion , but that's very , & alot of buisness's especially this one needs too learn it , & as far as I'm concern the way I was treated , this Blond haird guy Does not deserve his job , he has Zero Customer Service & is very rude , & next time I go in there Im getting his name too add too the post , he's the only one who gave me hassle , everyone else was very nice , that's the first time I saw him there , & I give that place my buisness almost every week , so do too him I'm not very happy , & the way I was treated read more

We stopped at Jackson #112 (Gateway Chevron) to fill up. We asked to have our windshield cleaned. We were told "if I have time". He did not find the time, so I did cleaned it. I still had to pay for "full service". Don't waste your time or money. You can get better service for your money elsewhere. read more
