For my payment method, I went with a Shell gift card I received from my aunt in 2021 for Christmas. Paying at the pump was simple and instructions clearly communicated. Regular/unleaded was $5.799 per gallon, which while high is not the highest I have seen in the Puget Sound area in the past year or so. Fueling was smooth and when the receipt printed after I was finished it even listed my remaining gift card balance, which I thought was pretty neat/helpful.

Long time Shell rewards member. Visited this branch to fuel up. I usually avoid this location…read morebecause of the higher prices and grumpy workers. This time on 12/15/22, I came in to use my visa gift card to fuel up. Walk into the store, said I'd like to put $50 on my card and I'd like to input my loyalty Fuel Rewards number. The cashier would not let me put in my phone number. He kept telling me to just slide my card. (Last time I listened to them I missed out on my fuel discount and the guy said sorry, maybe next time). I continue to tell him I would like to input my phone number first before giving payment and he would say "No. No number. Just slide card". After going back and forth, I just gave up and went to the Shell gas station in Burien on 1st Ave and 146th (since I was headed there anyways). Guy at that store said sure, allowed me to input my number and then charge my card. Simple as that. Not sure what the problem is with the Shell at 14905 Interurban Ave S in Tukwila but I won't be back.
